Hi everyone - where are you all today? come on I am relying for you for entertainment while i am at work!!
Arte - sounds like a really good system over there. will be interesting to see how it compares with here when the time comes. hmm what do they think they will do re the GD? was it routine for your levels to be tested or did they do that bc you have a history? it is great it will be dealt with from the beginning, hopefully that means you will have less stress/troubles later on.
Rainy IKWYM about the bubs at the moment, N isnt walking properly yet so prob not as bad as the others but man he can be trying at times. I try to look at it positively ie he is learning/exploring etc but it can be tough. i have found he is a lot better when we get out of the house and also if he goes swimming and burns lots of energy. wow what will they be like when they are 2 LOL!!!
MD hope the house is going well - i think it is today you move in.
Nella - realised i never cogratulated you, so sorry. hope you are feeling well.
MM - dont have a quinny zap but i bought a new stroller when we were away (so i dont always have to take the bugaboo which is wonderful but big) - it is a maclaren quest and v happy with it. i also have a maclaren in melb which i love - think that is a vogue.
yooo hooo to Noni - hope you are well honey.
-
hi girls!
Rainy: feral child here also. i hear ya on not being able to take them anywhere ATM. Leila either throws a tantrum or tries to destroy everything in sight or goes off running...urrrghh.
Arte: that sux about your family. it also sounds really selfish of them about the dog. we always put the kids before the dog. if a child is a bit nervous around stella she goes out the back. no big deal. sorry that they are so petty.
bummer about the GD causing issues. i hope that they can work something good out for you. fantastic that you get such great support from the NZ system. i can't believe how they just let us flounder over here.
MM: no not personal at all! i think pnd is something that needs to be more visible as let's face it 1 in 7 girls get it here in Oz! and that's the ppl they know about...
basically i will work closely with my psychologist (the one i met through the BB centre) and with her we will create a support network to help me out if it comes back next time (this way i dont have to start at square one or ask for help, they will do the asking). also i will have a doula and a post-natal doula to help me through on the birth and post birth side of things. (that way they cant go injecting me with peth without my consent! like last time!).
in a way i am nervous and scared that it would come back, but i know that it will NEVER be as bad, as i wont struggle for 9 months trying to justify the way i feel as normal. so in that sense it's a relief.
Andie: have fun at the beach!
-
i'm here PAP!!!
might have to rush off soon though as lewis is about to wake up.
arte- re: the dog thing, they are seriousley mixed up if they think that's ok. our dog is absoutely bomb-proof. you can do absolutely anything to her- trust me, lewis has LOL, but everytime someone comes to our house- she is outside. that means adults, kids, whatever. that's just the rules you know?
i hope evrything works out ok with the gd this time.
pap-how's work going being pg? have you had a spew there yet??? :D
any kfc cravings?? everytime i watch the cricket i feel like kfc :)
hayley- i have a maclaren vogue too, so does ange and they're great. what do you want a stroller for, just quick trips out with maddie?
clare- yes L runs away too. he is so friggin feral. he climbs up on the couch now and flicks the light switch on and off and thinks it's hilarious
andie- that's so cute how jack loves alex. little boys idolise their big brothers don' they? i know dh's litte bro does to him.
just had the doula over- she's lent me a couple of dvds - one is from the pink kit apparantely and she's just working on trying to help me with relaxing and preparing so baby doesn't go overdue. there's an accupuncturist just down the road from me too so i might think about giving her a call next week..
-
Arte:
opened nine-msn this morning & the featured article is about a dog mauling a toddler to death .. my first thoughts were about you & the IL drama's.
Clare:
my heart goes out to you with the PND
Rainy:
I hear you on the dog, my ex's dog (who know lives with my friend) is the same with kids, they can pull his tail & try to drag him, lay on him, sit on him, & he doesn't do a thing, he is the best thing with kids, but then with people & kids he doesn't know, it cld be a diff story. You can't take that chance hey.
**
Beach was great. Boys very unsure about it for a bit but then we cldn't get alex away from it. He would run in, turn around & run out. Then he started chasing me around with hands full of wet gluggy sand. O I so wanna take them again!!
Have already made plans to take them in Feb when my sis is up!!!
Alex just stuck his finger in a moving pedestal fan :o & he's doing it again even tho the first time he cut his finger!!

Hi Girls,
Thought I would pop on one last time we leave on sat and I am very excited. Kids are all great well apart from the fact that (remember when X got his first black eye about 4 weeks ago from falling on the retaining wall that leads into the dirt pit) well we had to get an ultra sound on the top of his cheek just below the eye cause it is a lump and well today we found out that he will be off to a plastic surgern to have the lump removed cause it is some type of bruise thing that can calcify. So that will all happen when we come back.
Rainy- I have 3 ferel kids.
Andie- Glad the beach was great
Well I am off so see you all in 3 weeks.
Love to all
-
Leanne have a good trip. Poor X I hope his eye gets better.
-
Andie I was just going to say the exact same thing to Arte about the dog story. Theres a very sad example of what can happen unfortunately. Glad you had a good time at the beach the boys looked like they enjoyed it. Did you see my pics on FB as we went this morning too! Love the beach, wish I lived a bit closer to it like I used to when I was at home with the parents but coastal living is too expensive for us lol.
Rainy & Pregpan - Wow I have the McLaren vogue (good old mum got it for me) as well, its a great stroller, but I was just looking into a smaller one for travelling (going away in March) & also I have a new car with a gas tank in the back lol, so my space is limited & I saw that the Quinny Zapp folds up really small. I've also just discovered one called the quicksmart too....decisions!
Pregpan - Why is it that swimming really knocks them out I wonder?!
Arte - Thats dissapointing about the in laws, but I know how you feel.
Leemar - HAVE A GOOD TIME!!! I am so jealous I would love to go to the US. Sorry to hear about that bruise sounds terrible poor little mite.
Clare - In a way I must admit we want as much a gap as possible between M & the next one, as I dont know how I would handle it iykwim. Sometimes I struggle with M, I know we all have our moments, but I know what I am like & I just think I need to space it all out a bit for myself. So I get where you are coming from, even though I havent been down the pnd track I'm terrified of it. I feel for you big time. So did you have depression during the pregnancy? Did the pethadine shot play a part in it or were you just using that as an example of you feeling as if you didnt have control in the labour room & that was a trigger? Sorry if this is all too personal & bringing up bad stuff from the past, ignore me if so!
As we are off again in March on our honeymoon, I've been thinking of how I am going to keep an 18 month old little explorer under control on the 5 hour flight to KL & then shortly after the 1 hr flight to Langkawi, the second flight shouldnt be too bad. So I was wondering about phenergan, but after the research I did today I wont be going down that track. What do you think of using pain stop? I know that has a bit of a sedative in it. Otherwise maybe Brauers calm? I know I am getting ahead of myself a bit here, but I am starting to worry as she was a handful on the way to & from Melbourne, DP & I almost had a domestic at one stage hehe.
-
Leanne- Oh no, the poor little thing! Sounds like a bit of bad luck, who would have thought his black eye would lead to surgery. Have a great holiday.
MM- I would try brauers calm or rescue remedy before any pharmaceuticals. She might surprise you, they change so much in a few months. There was a thread a while ago about keeping toddlers entertained on planes. Take loads of toys/books/snacks etc. 5 hours seems like forever, but it will go quickly enough.
Clare- you asked ages ago about the day spa and i forgot to answer you, then i remembered when i was lying in bed last night!!!! It is called indulge and it is at immerse winery in the yarra valley. Just the other side of yarra glenn. I havn't been to that one before, it's pretty $$$, but sounds lovely! We should try and organise a girls pampering day sometime.
Arte- Love the new ticker pic, very cute. You were so right about the dog. I would have been so frustrated in your position. You can NEVER trust a dog. They are animals after all.
Preg- We tend to go through pinching phases. When she is really frustrated she pinches. The worst thing is she does it to other kids if they take something she is playing with or just annoy her. so i have to watch her like a hawk. I am hoping it is a phase. Spoke to MCHN about it and she said at this age it is best to just try and avoid the situation rather than trying to discilpline her. Of course i say no and remove her from the situation if it happens, but i'm not sure she totally gets it. I also really encourage her to be gentle and praise her alot when she is.
Sherie and who ever else didn't feel much like posting (sorry have forgotten, was it Katie??)........ hope you are doing ok......
-
morning all
leeanne have a wonderful trip - see you when you get back. i hope it goes well. poor X, he has been in the wars - at least you can worry about that when you get back.
MM I agree re taking snacks and toys with you, i find books quite good on flights too. will she have time to run around the airport at kl before you head to langkawi. hmm not sure re the drugs for them... i dont know what pain stop is.. maybe the brauers calm but you never know she may surprise you with how good she is. just make sure you take it in turns watching her,it is quite exhausting as you know.
Ange - thanks for the reply re pinching... it is hard to know what to do, he only does it to me i think...
-
Yep. I'm here, but been busy again so hadn't posted. Had a dermo appointment yesterday and my BT restults were all normal again, so we've upped the meds to 15mg per week and see how that goes. I"m having great results and no side effects yet so I'm happy to increase it. Also did all the back to school shopping and even without buying school clothes it was $500 - but $200 of that was sneakers and the rest was stationery and socks etc. Although we normally buy them two pairs of shoes each, but didn't do that this time as Erin got a new pair early in the last term of school and Lindsay reckons he'll only wear sneakers instead of boots too.
-
Have a blast on your trip Leanne and fingers crossed on Xs eye.
MM - I've taken Sarah on the tilt train from Bundy to Brissie a few times and its much easier than driving. Its a 4.5 hour trip via train and I make sure that I work one of sarahs sleeps into that. I feed her to sleep and then she stays asleep on me. I can usually get an hour out of her. Then its lots of snacks and play time to keep her busy. Try to get a seat with a dvd player or something or take your own portable one because that is a great distraction. Sarahs got one of those portable high chairs from fisher price which is a god send as I can strap her in and feed her up. Keeps her in place as well. She did run up and down the aisles at one point and the other passengers were watching out for her. They loved being entertained by her, although they could have turned around later and *****ed about the terrible mother that let her child run around barefoot making a racket. Haha
As for the PND, yep I was diagnosed with it. I think I was more susceptible to it due to being slightly depressed and very moody as a youngster (late teens - early adult). I know how strange for a teenage girl to be moody ;) but mine was extreme ups and downs. I've had it under control for a while now but always had the thought in my head that PND was a real issue for me. I don't know whether I brought it on by thinking that way or not but was diagnosed a few months after S was born. I think its still a real issue now because I can feel the tension and stress rising with her and I need to remove myself from the situation to calm down. I have an action plan in place now to help me and DH and I will re evaluate the TTC thing once I've been taking care of myself for a few months.
Anyhoo...BBL

Hayley:
ooh, bikini! wish i was a brave :) the beach we went to yst, if we go via the dirt roads only takes us 30mins. Thinking of making it a fortnitely trip.
Trill:
thanks for the insight on back-to-school fees!! Something to start thinking about.
***
went and got a new digi this morning, am very happy!!!
I hear you on the depression .. I was diagnosed & treated when I was 16 & now that I have had it again, like I did, I realise I'm going to be plagued with it for the rest of my life. & it doesn't help that I resent it for contributing to the marriage breakdown. I just have to learn how to manage it. & so far, the best way to manage it now, is not to have my ex around & pretend to hate him in a romantic way. Depression is a scary thing. to all
-
Far out has anyone else got a feral child today? M has been an absolute mess since she woke this morning, I've just managed to get her off to sleep after about 45 minutes of comforting & finally gave her a bottle of milk. Gosh I really need to work on this bottle of milk/feeding to sleep thing. Anyway so I dont know why I did it, but I decided to go down to the shops as I needed to do a few things. One was open a bank account for M, I did that, but she was a little terror it was embarrassing lol. She ran out the door at one stage with me chasing behind, and a silly woman gave me the evils. The bank lady gave her a highlighter to keep her entertained which worked, until we went into target & she started eating it. I hadnt noticed & a lady came up to me & said 'you are going to poison your baby'. Then I went into another shop with M being a feral, I should have left by now, so I picked her up & was struggling to push the stroller with one hand & carry heavy M with the other when I accidently ran into another stroller. I apologised of course & the mother turns around & says 'watch it'! What is with people today!!? So between crazy M and the bunch of moody cows around the shops, I'm OVER it!
I am sad to hear that depression is so common. Its very very scary, something that has played on my mind once or twice thats for sure.
Thanks everyone regarding the travelling tips, I'm nervous this time around. M is just such a head strong girl these days, wants to assert her independence at every given moment. But I definately wont be going down the dugging track its just not worth it, besides I couldnt do that to her! While we are on the subject, my silly SIL 'sedates' her bub every night before bed with a dose of pandol. For one panadol doesnt sedate & secondly it's doing more harm than good giving it to him that often!! Sorry for that sudden outburst I am also being a feral today lol.
Falguni - I hear you on the pinching. I must admit I feel a bit lost when it comes to knowing how to react to things like that. I guess I will just go with the whole removing from the situation for now.
-
Hayley .. i was going to have two today but am glad it is a daycare day! .. jack tipped two bowls of cereal all over the floor ... Alex ran off on us the other day but a lady stopped him, then asked if it I didn't mind cos she had the same prob with her son ..
-
hi everyone
hayley- everything i hear about your sil drives me crazy. i think she should be locked up with my mil.
yes lewis is constantly feral. i always end up having to carry him and push the stroller which is virtually impossible when you have a baby bump the size of mine. the baby aways kicks lewis and then lewis blows big mouth farts back to him.
i'm at the point now where i'm completely avoiding going out, i just can't do it!
andie- sounds like you had a great time at the beach.
can i ask you, how hard did you find it when jack was first born and alex was so young? how did alex react to jack?
sherie- sounds like things are going well at dermo. good news :)
leanne- have a fantastic time!enjoy :)
well we've got visitors from sydney popping in for dinner tonight, and i cleaned the house for 3 hours in preparation!! how bad is that?? it was disgusting though, so it had to be done.
-
Congrats Arte!!
Finally caught up on all the posts, will try and pop back later. DH's uncle is about to head over and visit so I should entertain!
-
Cally, I was wondering where you had got to!
MM, that is really annoying about the rude people in the shop. Obviously if your kid is being feral you aren't having the best day - they could restrain from making it worse by adding snarky comments. Your SIL gives me the *****s.
Rainy, you were asking a while ago about day sleeps? W just has one during the day now. Usually it is around 11am, but for the past couple of days he has been grotty enough to go back to bed at 9.30. That means that he is really tired by night time. I have a 2pm cut off for naps, so if he needs a second nap before then he can have it, otherwise he has to wait until bedtime. Usually he gets a second wind when DH gets home at 5.30pm, then we quickly do dinner and I try to get him in bed by 7(earlier if he is cracking). With two naps he was staying up until 8.30-9.30 and DH and I weren't getting any time together. How is Lewis sleeping at night? I promised you that he would be sleeping through before bub came, hope I wasn't a big fat liar (although I also promised you a girl lol)
PAP, are you still looking for somewhere to go for a pre-baby holiday? It is so freaking hot here, it feels like Brisbane. I am desperate for air-con! We are having a record hot summer.
Trill, OMG at how expensive school shopping is!
-
Rainy:
OMG, wish I had your cleaning motivation!!
Alex had a hard time with me not being able to pick him up whilst heavily preg. In the hosp, he knew who Jack was, standing on the side of the cot saying "jack". He was really good with it all actually, wasn't too put out either. Just made sure I still did things with him & made sure he knew I sitll loved him.
-
Morning everyone!
I feel for all of you with feral toddlers ATM - I've BTDT before ROFL. Alisters not too bad ATM in terms of feral-ness, but he sure does make it hard to get anything done and keep it done kwim? He is a gold medal winning un-cleaner and DH even had the hide to say something to me the other day about the state of the house and I bit my tounge and said nothing until the following day when it was too hot to be outside working and so DH was inside doing bookwork and he took a break and had a cuppa in the loungeroom and in the space of a half hour, Alister had carted so much stuff into the loungeroom out of the kitchen crawers and cupboards and done a heap of other stuff to make the place look untidy and DH started complaining and I finally said to DH, "and you wonder why the place never looks tidy when you come home? You're the one who refuses to put child locks on the drawers and cupboards because you can't get into them yourself, but you've got the hide to b1tch about the state of the house?" He didn't say a word ROFL. Mind you the house isn't that untidy, it's just all the stuff that lays around on the floor - the rest of the house is fine, but he grew up with a mother who did nothing BUT clean and as soon as they put something down when they were kids she had put it away again. I've often told him he can always move back there ;)
-
Geeeee Trill, DH wouldn't want to say anything like that to me ATM! You were very well restrained, i'm impressed............ My DH might have just been sleeping in the dog kennels.
-
OMG girls, I did something really stupid!! Last night I was cutting DH's hair with the clippers. He usually has a #4 cut but I didn't check to see if the #4 length comb was attached and started clipping - now he has a completely bald stip about 4cm wide and 10cm long up the back of his head!!! I felt so bad about it and yet couldn't stop laughing
Ange, cute ticker pic. Does L understand that you are having a bubba?
Trill, W sounds similar to A, not particularly feral but a massive anti-help. DH assumes that I do nothing all day because he spends 10 minutes picking up stuff when he gets home. It is getting really old.
-
Had another feral toddler day. Just met up with a couple of mums & bubs from mums group for a coffee & a shop browse. Their two littlies (same age as M) just sat perfectly in the pram, M didnt at all, chucked major tanties and did the whole go stiff thing when I tired to put her in the stroller. I must admit I have having a chuckle to myself now as I type this, but at the time omg my face was like a beetroot & I wanted to disown her LMAO!
Rainy - I am with you, its almost to the point where I've decided to be house bound too. I almost cancelled my catch up with the girls today because I could predict the behaviour that she would show. Cant imagine what it must be like for you juggling a belly as well you poor thing!
I guess one day we will think back & laugh at the tough toddler days that often arise!!!
Trill - Our house is the same. I guess now your DH can see what you mean, after he had a day at home yesterday. Mine is the same with the cupboard locks as they will ruin the kitchen apparently. Now I just leave the house as a bomb until M is in bed for the night.
Arte - LOL thats hillarious, bet he wasnt too pleased with you!?
Falguni - The new ticker pic melts my heart!
Guess what I found a perfect little Oobi dress at the shops, yes here in Perth, with 20% off it, yet DP made me feel bad & said not to buy it. So I didnt and I'm sad! He is right though, I guess its not a necessity & she does have way too many clothes already....but still I am thinking of the Oobi dress waiting for me at the shops hehe
-
H, the way I see it, if it's still there when you go back, then it was meant to be ;) I've done that with the girls too - leave it the first time, but get it the second time LOL. Don't worry about the way M acts in public, she wont ever learn how to properly behave in public if you don't take her out kwim? I have a friend who never takes her kids out anywhere, but will complain that on the very rare occasion that she does, they run amok  Erin was always a shocker like that too and she just has a zesty personality.
Arte, that's soooooo funny!!!!!!! What did he do when he found out? Good thing it's been so hot over there ;)
Ange, I was simmering on the inside don't worry. I just bide my time and strike when the moment is right.
-
 Arte, it's usually the kids that give themselves a bad haircut, not a wife to a husband! Hope you took a photo! Lulu knows there is a bubba in my tummy and she comes and lifts my top and kisses it alot, but i don't think she actually gets it IYKWIM.
Ah Trill i see, i think i could take a leaf out of that biding time book. I just can't help myself when i'm mad!
MM- Don't worry, Lu is always the most feral when i go to MG. I was reading toddler tactics by pinky McKay (sp?) today, made me feel better about her 'spirited' behavior. Those other two kids happily sitting in the prams will be just the same in a month or two. ;)
Had OB app today and BP was high. Had a mini internal freak out, but after 5 min lying down it was fine. So no PE just yet, thank goodness!
-
I'm saving us from falling off the page lol
Trillian - Oooh I like that idea! Yes you are right I think M is much the same as your E with the zesty personality. She is a very head strong & independent girl, every time we go to the doctor she plants her mouth firmly shut & shakes her head so the doc cant check her throat! Little terror. You are right I'd much prefer a bub with personality, just some days I wanna pull my hair out!
Falguni - Oh glad to hear the bp went back to normal. Not long to go now, are you nervous, are you doing a birth plan or going with the flow?
-
Arty:
hehe at the clippers incident. I can imagine you laughing. I'd prob do the same!!
Trill:
totally here you on the house! Its hard when DP/DH's don't really understand why the house ends up like it does hey. I get sick of picking up after the boys (until I trip over or stand on it!) One my kitchen cupboards have one of those elastic straps around the handles
Fal:
OMG that is so cute of Lulu.
***
taking Feral kids out: i find that if I take the boys to say macca's to play b4 i do my shopping, its better cos they have burned their energy up already.
Had swimming lessons today & afterwards I was talking to the instructor & she mentioned Alex's energy & how he runs & runs & runs & mentioned ADHD, & I was like yeah, he's booked in to see a Pedi in Feb ...
hoping everyone has a good weekend ...
-
Andie - Could it be that he is just a young boy full of energy? I guess the doctor will tell you that soon enough.
-
You know what irks me about that comment the instructor said Andie? In this day and age, where so much emphasis is put on getting your kids to be active and let them run around, that as soon as she sees a child who is exhuberant and full of life that there must be an iss-ewe with them. Little boys attack life like a bull at a gate - there is no stopping them, sure they are usually more of a handful, but gee wizz, WTG making you feel like there is something wrong with him!
hehe, Ange, I do have my moments where I let fly, but one thing I've learnt over the years is that sometimes it pays to wait and strike when they are least expecting it ;) I hope your BP stays down and doesn't give you problems again.
H, Erin is one of the most headstrong/stubborn/independent children I've ever met. She drives me crazy sometimes and I am not looking forward to her teen years LOL, but these are characteristics that will serve them both well as adults.
-
:happybirthday: Sherie!! I hope you have been spoilt!
-
Happy Birthday Sherie!!
I haven't been on much, we had a fortnight at my parents and didn't want to spend too much time on the computer and then being back this week we have been so busy. At least when I go back to work on Monday I will be able to sit down!
Feral toddlers - yep, got one here! She just laughs when we tell her off (like when she tries to run onto a road) and this morning I was holding her, she wanted to walk. I said, you have to stay on the grass and hold mummy's hand. Big solemn face, lots of nods. Put her down, 2 steps later she shakes me off and is heading for the road!! Grrr.
And the two foot stomp is happening here - very cute when it is a happy dance, not so cute when it is a tantrum! I have Toddler Tactics here, need to get on and read it, might make me feel better.
Arte - oh, how did your DH react to that mistake?
Trill - good comeback to your DH re the state of the house!
MM - I agree with Trill, if the dress is still there when you go back, it's meant to be. I've done that before.
-
Where is everyone today?
Cally, hope you had a good time at your parents house. DH seems o.k with the bald strip, it has grown a little bit now so it isn't as skin coloured and obvious lol He as mumbled a couple of times about finding a hat before we go out though
MM, I was thinking about it and I guess if I took W to shops more often he would probably be a challenge. He is o.k to go in the pram to the supermarket, but when we are in a town with actual shops he does whinge a lot and I usually end up carrying him. The only way to buy myself a bit of shopping time is to bribe him lol - a biscuit, single serving raisins and - as much as I hate to do it - twisties.
Not much going on here to report, W is his usually delightful self, doing so many cute and clever things every day.
-
hi girls
happy birthday sherie!!
hope you got spoilt rotten!!
can i just say, i can't believe none of your cupboards are child locked. how do you cope??? pretty much every cupboard in this whoe house is locked, idk whether lewis is just extra insane or what but i nearly had a breakdown before dh put the locks on. everything was everywhere!
arte- i did exactly the same thing to my ex's hair, and i too, could not stop laughing. he was sooo upset about it, he got so angry! i think he didn't speak to me for a few days
hayley- i think you should sneak back to the shops and buy the oobi dress :D i'm very norti with that kind of stuff though, i've been getting in trouble from dh, i have to put the brakes on spending, oops!
cally- i'm going to pull out toddler tactics too, ahhh he's doing my head in!
ange- keep that BP down!!! maybe we need a maccas breakfast soon to keep your BP down LOL have we got swimming this wed? i think we do.
we've just got back from a little holiday at lakes entrance. we had a great time, might chuck some pics on fb. lewis loved it. he completely trashed the unit though. he went through every single cupboard and just raidedit. the hairdryer was in the griller, the clock radio was in the fridge, there was pots and pans everywhere and he spent most ofthe time walking around with a sieve on his head cracking up laughing at himself. dh just couldn't believe how much of a destructive little livewire he was- i think it really opened up dh's eyes as to just how full on he is when you're with him 24/7 iykwim?
lewis nearly got us in a fight with some biker neighbours too. they were all sitting out the front having dinner and laughing really loud and lewis started fake imitating their laugh. i think they got really offended cos they kept giving us dirty looks! idk whether they thought it was me imitating them or what, but i was scared and dh thought it was the funniest thing ever!
-
Rainy love the photos, you look fantastic BTW. I wish I could take a little holiday.
Arte PMSL at your DH's hair cut. I messed up DH's hair once when we were younger, he just shaved it all off.
Cally Logan laughs when we say no too, that or he has a tantrum. They are so cheeky arent they.
Sherie how was your birthday?
MM did you go and get the Oobi dress? I too am one who buys if it is there the second time, I figure I am meant to have it.
Not much happening here, I have sent some emails to private midwives though so thats something I guess. Better go and clean my kitchen............ yuck! Hope your all well.
-
Hayley:
Quite possible tho a friend was telling me that her friends kid got diagnosed with ADHD cos she can't concentrate & lacks attention, nothing to do with being hyper or not.
Trill:
Thanks. Dilema is that it is in my side of the family & my cousin was the youngest to be treated & diagnosed in Aust at the time. & so far, it does't follow a strain, cos its my Uncle who has it & my Aunty's son.
AFM:
Am going nuts listening to Thomas! Haha. Boys were feral today. Mite have to take them outside some more.

quiet day ...
me post, sorry :(
Have decided to talk to ex on fri nite & layed it all out & then I backed off & gave him space to mull it all over .. but he still won't admit to how he really feels, said he wasn't ready to .. so I decided I had had enough of what I felt was like "games" & told him I am moving on .. feel really good & feel so much brighter & happier already. .. well, thats 2nite!
hope everyone is well xox

Hello? Anyone? oohh I can hear an echo in here LMAO. Where is everybody?
Andie I am glad you are feeling better, does it feel like a weight has been lifted? Good for you for making a decision.
Had some really bad cramping yesterday did an OPK this morning and got a + so I shall be busy tonight lol ;) Have heard back from two of the private midwives and am very excited. Off to swimming this morning, we have decided to quit so at the end of Feb we wont do lessons anymore, I dont think L really enjoys it and it costs a fortune.
Best be off to get ready. Hopefully everyone has time to pop in today!

Oz, good luck!! How does it work with a private midwife? Here we get allocated one and they come to your house for all your checks - mine came yesterday and took blood even, it is soo much better than the shared care thing in Aust.
Andie, if you feel happier already then it must have been the right decision.
Rainy, LOL at L's antics at the motel! Our neighbours had visitors yesterday and one of them laughed like a kookaburra, W kept going out on the deck and trying to copy lol
I wish we hadn't bothered to go away at christmas, not only did we have a cr@p time, but it has stuffed up W's sleeping again. We were down to about 2-3 wakeups each night, now we are back at around 5-6. And he wakes up halfway through his day nap too. Grrrrrr

Glad L isn't the only one still waking up of a night! Usually its only once or twice though. Don't know how you manage with so many wake ups!
Cally
L throws tantrums when he is told no! There's no laughing the bottom lip quivers & then there are tears & the hitting!

The day I got the second bfp I started bleeding had a few little clots (sorry tmi) went and got a blood test and it was a bfn so it wasn't meant to be but that's ok, maybe next time.
