md- yah on the dyson  it will change your life.
ok, well good times have turned bad in sydney...but not in the way we all expected...
dh told his parents about our marriage and he reckons thay took it quite well. mil had a shocked look on her head but was too scared to actually say anything. he reckoned she has been absolutely walking on eggshells around him and will not do anything to risk upsetting him. apparantely fil and bil have both been on her back about not being so mean all the time to everyone. when dh first got to their house on xmas day, a couple of bil's friends popped around for a visit. after they left, mil started saying -'gees, how bad did C and R look?"- total biatch that she is. with that, everyone gave her a dirty look and bil started getting stuck into her. apparantely she said 'i know, i know, i just can't help myself. i'm so mean!' ah hah, maybe just maybe, some of the message is starting to get through....
anyway, dh and both his parents had a chat about the situation with me. dh basically told her that i don't want anything to do with her anymore as she has treated me very inappropriately. from now on, she needs to deal with him directly- whcih means not calling the house phone but calling his mobile directly. they are to keep well away around the birth of the new baby and will never be staying at our house again. obviousely thay can arrange to come down to melbourne to visit, but will need to organise their own accomodation. she said she wanted to ring me to apologise for harsh things she said- he told her not to even bother as it was fruitless...
ok...so they are happy that they now know where things stand. basically we don't get along and so to avoid conflict she needs to keep away from me.
sorry for long massive selfish vent post, but have to get all this off my chest.
so....turns out that dh spent saturday night in jail.
yes, you read that right, in jail.
he got in a fight with some bouncers at a pub and ended up getting beaten up and eye gauged and charged with assault and damaging property.
great...
now he has to go back to sydney to face court on 20 jan.
he is obviousley really upset about the whole thing, as am i. he could have ended up in a coma or even killed david hookes style. he never ever gets in trouble like this in melbourne. he just slips back into old cultures, crowds, ways of life etc. when he gets back amongst those sydney boys. he is dying to get home. (sorry no offense to syd people, it's not sydney itself, more the lifestyle that he used to be a part of when he lived there iykwim? sydney itself is beautiful :)
his words exacltly were 'this is why i had to get out of sydney'
and through it all- mil still can't see how good i am for her son. how much he has achieved since moving down here. how it was the best thing that ever happened to him getting away from all that. she's still so bitter about the move. why can't she see it's not about her???? it's about what's best for him!
ahhhhh. thanks for letting me get it all out. i'm still stunned by everything. don't know how i'm going to react to him when he gets home tonight. not sure how to feel about the whole thing. apparentley he is beaten up pretty badly and not in a good way..
Leanne, are you flying at night or through the day? I'm sure the boys will be too excited to worry about being norti ;)
MD, sounds like you've made yourself right at home over there hitting the shops already ROFL. Bargain buy on the dyason though. Bummer about the Splayds. Miss E sounds just delightful. How is H settling in? I hope she's not worried about the whole new school thing......
H, great to hear you got the dress! I love Ladybird brand and I brought so many dresses for the girls from Myer when they were little.
I don't mind you asking about it H. We are always super careful when it comes to stuff like that because those types of accidents happen so fast and are ALWAYS preventable. There are times when DH wont let the kids go with him at times when it is either going to be hard to watch them 100% or if it is dangerous, particularly if they are moving machinery or handling chemical etc. We have safety covers around all our PTO shafts on machinery (they are the bits that spin at super fast rates to drive ploughs and slashers etc as there have been so many accidents from people getting clothes caught in them and losing arms and legs etc. We will let the kids on the tractor with DH or his Dad, but never on the header/harvester (cause those things can go up in flames VERY easily if the weather is right and the last thing you need is to be getting a child off there too). I never let the kids go with BIL though as he is so irresponsible and totally ignorant about that sort of thing. He will let his nearly 3yo go on the header with him (mostly cause his slack-ass stupid wife thinks its fun and the whole McLeod's Daughters thing and that's what farm kids should do) and play in the hopper when the auger is going which is stupid beyond comprehension, and his DS is a bugger of a child with no respect for anything and will not listen when you tell him no, so we do expect that sometime in the near future that something bad will happen to him if BIL doesn't grow some balls and brains and not let him go with him. As for slashers, even DH hates having to use one and when he's slashing all the grass outside the house yard he makes the kids all go inside because those blades move fast and just the rocks they flick up are enough to really hurt you. Hearing about children who die doing something that could have been preventable make me really sad and angry - sad that it happened when it didn't have to happen and angry that these things are so easliy avoided and it makes it hard for the rest of us who do the right thing with new regulations etc. Just before Christmas there was a family in Gunnedah who lost on of their twins (they had 4 boys under 5) because all of them got into the chemical :( - totally preventable and now they have to live with knowing that had they just locked the chemical away where they couldn't get it they would still have their child. Sorry for the epic, but it's something we have to live with and think about every day to make sure the kids stay safe.
OH Gracie! You poor thing. That's awful to have that to worry about, but it sounds like he is totally repentant about it, poor guy, I guess things just brewed up in him and he wasn't thinking clearly either. At least he stood his ground with him Mum and I hope it gave her some food for thought. Its bloody scary to think about what could have happened so try not to OK? You'll only get yourself all worked up and you don't need that. He's probably going to look a hell of a lot worse than he really is, so don't let that make you think it's really really bad when you first see him, it sounds like it was all superficial though. I hope all goes well when he goes to court too, surely there are more than enough extenuating circumstances to show that this is completely out of character for him.
Well Rainy I"m going out on a limb to say I think the hard work he put in laying it on the line with MIL shows a lot of strength of character AND wisdom so in a way it cancels out the silly bouncer episode. Because that sort of thing can unfold in a comedy of errors kind of way. It's good that he's upset and remorseful, much better than angry and not taking responsibility for what he's done, Kwim? Give him a big hug before you tear shreds off him!!
Trill, yes I spare you a thought out there on the farm whenever I hear about a farm accident. Sounds like you're very careful (as we knew you would be) but geez that must make you angry about your BIL.
Leanne, just relax and go with the flow. All told the travelling is really only a day out of your life and the benefits of going places and seeing and doing things far outweighs the strains of travelling. Why is why you're going!!
hi girls!
Rainy: oh big hugs comin' your way :hug:. I guess this trip for your DH was a really big emotional vortex for him, and unfortunately with a bit of happy juice in his belly, the built up anxiety about the front-off with his mum found an avenue of 'expression' at the local pub. it really sux, i am sorry that it had to happen. i hope that he is ok and the court hearing goes as well as possible.
on the mil front, it sounds like at least there is some finality at the very least. yay for your dh and your family! it must have been scary laying it out to her like that.
Sherie: yep we have one of the moron farm mob in our family. the have a dairy farm and are sooooo careless about chemicals and machinery it's not funny. they never (!) got rid of the outlawed stuff and it sits there still today. the number of 'accidents' they have had is not funny. i refuse to go there now, and miss L will never see the place. i have been to well managed farms and i know how good it can be, so seeing our family's place makes me sick. they think they are being tough and the like living the way they do...urrghh.
MD: woot woo on the dyson buy!! i saw on telly the other day that they were doing a 399 price!! how awesome is that?!!! i love my dyson.
Leanne: i hope you all have a wonderful time! you'll have to fill us in on the details (Including the flight management strategies LOL!). i am sooo jealous!!!!
in all honesty, it will be better than you think. the boys will probably be soo excited in the airport, that from what i have seen they kinda get tuckered out once the plane has taken off. you also get LOADS of freebies for the kids (colouring books and crayons). they'll love the little travel packs. also, there will be movies for them to watch and you are constantly being fed by the hostesses so that always provides cheap entertainment. you might find that they become obsessed with going to the toilet (so i recommend asking for a seat only a couple of rows from the toilet...sounds unappealing, but i soo prefer to be closer than far away and not knowing what the cue is like!! some good entertainment strategies is also trips to the water fountain (again near the toilets). they can fill up on loads of small cups of water LOL!
I also recommend packing a surprise bag for each of them (including bubs!). stuff they have never seen before and can be slowly brought out to entertain them.
other than that, lots of stoicism on your behalf and maybe some champagne! LOL!
AFM: not much happening here. L is teething (we think) as she is chewing on everything atm. and has been waking in the night.
we are pretty tired as a result, so have been trying to occupy ourselves out of the house as despite the glorious weather our poky vic terrace is dark as night....
Till: thx for you thoughts. It does make it very confusing.
Rainy: I wish my ex had the courage your DP does to stand up to his mother. Sorry to hear bout the brawl etc. Hope everything goes okay for you guys there.,
Leanne: you will be fine on our trip. Hope you have a gr8 3 weeks away.
Cally: hope you enjoyed your dinner & fingers X'd it wasn't chicken pox
hmm, boys are fighting ATM & I'm not sure wat about really, considering Alex is sitting right beside me.
bbl .. boys dinner is ready
Well it has been a little hectic, but happy belated festive season to you all.
MM- That boy falling under the tractor was so sad to hear about, farming equipment scares me. DH lost his thumb in a post driver and he is always so careful. It can just turn bad so quickly. I never let Lu out on the machinery with DH, she goes moving cattle in the ute but not on the tractor. Don't let all the wedding hooha get to ya. No matter what happens the day will come and go so run with i say!
Trill- I can NOT believe someone lets a kid in a hopper with an auger running??! :o That is just stupid.
G- Man it hasn't been the best festive season for you so far. Sounds like you and DH need a mini-break holiday, or even better i got a voucher for indulge at immerse for chrissy, you could come with me for a pampering day. ;) It is great he told his mum how it is. Al least she knows now and with more than one person telling her, something has to sink in.
Poor DH and his beating. I feel your torn feelings. I would be so worried/mad/relived/angry all at once i wouldn't know how to react. But at least he is ok and knows he was a bit of a fool. Be nice to have him home.
We've had more gastro plus molars the last few days. A little lacking in the sleep department. Have been down at my parents place by the beach so it has been nice to get away and have a bit of a hand with Lu, although the family were all crook with the bug too. Looks like we're coming out the other side though! wooohoooooo. thank goodness.
If i don't get back on here before the newyear, happy new years to all! :D
Rainy - Well I must say I am proud of your DH for sticking up for you and speaking up to his mother. He really did well, I couldnt ever see my DP speaking up to his. I think that is fair enough to tell them to come down to meet their new grandson, but not to think about staying with you, the last thing you need is to bring your newborn home to a hostile environment. Hopefully they wont barge in on the birth or anything, but I think your DH has made it clear to keep away lol. As for the jail incident, he really does sound remorseful. I'm so sorry that your MIL is such a mean person. Even though I couldnt call mine mean, she is just an annoying/take control person really, but I had always hoped that I would have a MIL I could have a good, understanding relationship with. So its a bit of a let down, as I imagine it is with you especially seeing as you no longer have your own mum to turn to.
Trillian - Good to hear you take all those precautions with farm machinery and chemicals. That poor little boy he was only 4, what a way to go. What a situation to witness! :( As for the Gunnedah boy, was that the one on the news & they couldnt confirm what had happened to him? That must make you so angry knowing how irresponsible your BIL is with his kids, he should know better & I can understand why you never let your kids go with him.
Falguni - Oh no you lot have been through a rough patch! Did you pass the gastro on to the family or was it the reverse lol. How is your pregnancy coming along?
Clare - Hope you can get some sleep tonight!
MD - Well done on your Dyson bargain!
Well DP and I are off to the Perth Cup (like a mini Melbourne cup and everyone glams up) on New Yrs day...it will be 39 degrees!!!! I just sorted out my outfit before so getting excited now. We did have a bit of a babysitter dillema there for a bit, but the in laws have offered to take M. Only thing is, they are coming up on New Yrs Eve, so we are stuck with them that night & they will take M back down to their place (about 120 kms from ours) on New Yrs day as they are having a small party with friends, & she will then stay the night. SO I am looking forward to a full nights sleep but very nervous about her 1st sleep over with the in laws. :(
Well no sign of pox here!! She did break out in an allover rash for a day, so maybe she had roseola. Anyway, all is good now. She's having a sleep and I'm going to have to go and wake her up soon as we were supposed to be meeting friends 30 mins ago. They knew I'd be late, but I don't want to be too late - haven't seen a couple of them for more than 2 years!!
Rainy - poor DH. Good on him for sorting out the MIL situation though.
MM - have fun at the races.
Leanne - I'm sure the plane trip will go fine, Be Prepared!!
Ange - glad you're starting to feel better, sucks being sick at Christmas doesn't it?
Have a great New Years everyone - what are you all up to? We are having a family bbq at my sisters, then will be home for my normal 9:30pm bedtime. I've never really got the point of New Years......
good morning girls
cally- family bbq sounds like a lovely way to spend nye. i have no idea what we're doing- prolly just staying in for pizza or something? we need to save all our money now with these new circumstances ggggrrrr
good news on the no pox :)
hayley- if the pil barge in on the birth, i will be calling hospital security to get them escorted out! no joke...i actually feel a lot more relaxed about this up-coming birth knowing that i don't have them breathing down my neck iykwim? last time i felt like they were just waiting to pounce. hopefully this means i don't have to get induced this time
yes it is a real let-down to have such an awful relationship with mil. i really hate it. i'm thinking i might work on developing a rel/ship with dh's aunty though (on his dad's side) as she has been absolutely lovely to us and even bought us a $500 cutlery set as a wedding gift, and wrote a card telling me how proud dh was when he told her we were married. made me cry!
the races sounds lovely but very hot! what are you wearing? how do you think maddie will go with the sleepover?
ange- i went to indulge a few weeks ago for a pedi :) what are you going to have? i might have to take you up on the offer of joining you, if i can palm off L and sneak some money from dh
i'd kill for a facial and pg massage.
clare- yes i think alcohol has a lot to answer for, especially where my dh is concerned. i'm proud he stood up to his mil though and told her to keep away from me.
sorry you're not pg this time.
how is the house hunting going? any luck?
md- well i tried to give him a big hug but he's all battered and bruised and smelled so badly of alcohol that it made me sick!
how's the dyson going?
sherie- thanks for your support :) i know i shouldn't think about what could've happened, i'm just so angry with him for getting involved in a totally avoidable and unecessary situation. we just don't need this sort of stuff in our lives. it's so immature and just plain stupid!
i wondered what had happened to those twin boys- onthe news they really didn't explain much about it, i wasn't sure if they'd been poisened on purpose or what. how horrible!
not much going on around here, just watching cricket and trying to come to terms with everything!
MM- They were sharing the love this time. I think Dad got it off a client then shared it around. It's great to share but not your germs! lol. This time round it was not the vomitting, more the other end that was the issue, the ring burner bug we called it. lmao.
G- i got a voucher for the mum to be package, can't remember what it includes, preg massage, facial, pedi and fruit platter or something?! I'm not fussed about the massage (just got 2 off dad in two days, nice.) So was thinking facial, pedi and manicure, just so i'm looking super special! lol I'd love you to come along. Not sure when but we better not leave it too long. Heading down Geelong way for NYE will give you a buzz when we get back.
Cally- i think NYE is totally overrated too. We were doing nothing until friends with a bub similar age phoned up and invited us over for a bbq, i'll be lucky to make midnight though!
Came home with a car full of goodies, a new phone and aswering machine, TV set top box, back up hard drive, bbq, new bed for Lu with trundle plus two matresses, a pram and car seat on lay-by, as well as chrissy presents!!! Went nuts, I have been waiting for the sales to get it all and got some great deals so pretty happy about that.
As i said, heading down the coast for NYE. DH going water skiing and surfing with mates while i hang out on the banks/beach like a beached whale with the other preggo wife. It's days like that i hate being preggers!
Got to unpack from chrissy and repack to leave tomorrow.
Hi everyone. Hope you all had a fantastic christmas
Rainy, bummer about DH landing himself in jail! I wouldn't be very impressed with DH if he did that. Hope that your MIL stays out of your life and that time eases it for you. I still haven't talked to my friend from uni.
MD, so glad you are home, and a huge congrats on the Dyson!
Sorry, I had a quick skim through but don't have time to read everything.
W picked holiday time to get two molars, I can see the shadow of another and a canine is about to cut too so he hasn't been very happy. We stayed for a few nights at a beach just out of Dunedin which was lovely (bar the traditional christmas family shouting match lol). W loved the beach and spent hours down there. He seems to have grown up heaps lately and has started saying about 6 new words since we went away.
As for me, for christmas I got a book, a vase, a set of milkshake cups and.....
a BFP!!!!!!
A complete surprise because I thought we had missed the boat this month. Very early days though, so secret on FB.
Oh Arte, that is fantastic news! What a christmas present, congratulations! :D Great news.
oh arte!!!! i am so HAPPY for you!!!:clap:
congratuations! can't wait to share the pregnancy journey with you.
how exciting, you've made my day!!!
:dance::dance::dance:
oh Arte that is fantastic news!!!! i have tingly goosebumps for you!!! also doing a little dance!!:dance: I knew that there was a little bubba waiting for you to be their mum! congrats congrats!
OMG Arte, CONGRATULATIONS! Wow I am so happy for you, yay!
Howdy everyone, miss me? lol
OMG Arte Congratulations!!!! I am so happy for you.
Does that only leave me TTC?
Way to much to catch up on so fill me in all the important stuff.
Had a great Christmas but am buggered from being in the car all day, L was a gem on the long trips but a bit of a sook most of the week lol. Will try and catch up a little.
Ha ha Oz...no i think it' us the 3 musketeers (hayley, you and me!) still standing at the TTC dock!!
Arte: well at least will is getting molars...i think Leila's teeth have gone into hiding. we only have 6 teeth!
Ange: totally jealous of your pamper package. i could sooo go a massage! where is this place tahth you and rainy go?
Rainy: no luck on the house hunting. the market has really dried up, no one is selling as ppl are no longer buying like crazy and the amount of auctions that are passing in is not funny. a house sold in Princes hill (3 beds) for less than 600K the other day. this time last year it would have sold for over 1 million. but yeah, as a result no one wants to sell. boo hoo. that's ok though as our rental just had a rise but not by too much so we are happy to hang out here and bide our time.
Cally: could it of been a viral rash? sometimes they are slightly raised and pimply looking. comes out usually after sustained temps...Leila had it and totally freaked me out LOL!
AFM: all ok here. a few broken nights which is unusual for L. so am feeling it the next day (man i have been spoilt!). i think it may be teeth but again not sure.
not much else to report. getting excited about the neighbourhood family picnic tonight. but that's about it!
Are you serious, its only the 3 of us left ttc!? WOW I cant believe how many of us September mummies are pregnant again. I bet I will be the last as we wont be trying until April 09!
Oz - Glad L wasnt too bad with the car journey.
Clare - Oh my gosh thats a big drop in price, did you try to bid on that house? Its the same over here with housing. You can pick up some bargains as a buyer atm, but sellers are losing out, and same thing people wont list with the market the way it is. However I work in property settlements and we have had a few sellers who have had no choice but to sell, being close to a mortgagee sale, and the buyers have got absolute bargains. We've also done a huge amount of mortgagee sale settlements lately, its sad I feel very sorry for these people having their homes taken from them.
Well I had grand plans to take miss M down to the beach this morning, but DP sold my car and its already gone. So I am carless, therefore housebound. My new one will arrive in the next few days, but we are waiting for the money for our car we just sold to clear, before we can pay for my new one. Oh thats another thing, soooo angry at DP, he told the buyers that they could take the car, even though the money hasnt cleared into our bank account & they told us they would bring their internet banking receipt to show they have deposited it, yet they didnt show up with it. Still DP let them take the car. DODGY, I hope to hell they arent that kind of people because I told DP I wont be marrying him if it doesnt work out lol. FINGERS CROSSED.
So its Dr Phil & Oprah today hehe
MM: oh i would not be happy with DH!! i hope that they are honest and pay up.
man i always forget about oprah and dr phil!! ggrrrr. i love my trashy daytime tv!! LOL!
and no worries on the TTC front we have decided to postpone until september 09...just hoping it doesnt take 18 months like last time.
Oz: i was also amazed at how well miss L coped on the long car trips we took recently. i think i was more pooped than she was.
anyway gotta keep this short and sweet as i am currently roasting 2 chickens, roast potatoes, making a bean salad, and putting together some dips and the like for tonight. DH is walking the dog.
omg arte did i miss a big announcement congratulations!!!
well ladies sorry ive been mia its been really busy around here and ashas been sick too just as we thought it was getting better sigh.. looks like we will have to collect the sample after all joy!! anyways we had a great xmas hope everyone was really spoilt i know i was!! dp went all out it was really nice :) still havnt told most the family about the news hoping to wait till the 12 wk mark.. this time its going really quick i cant believe im already 9 weeks!! off to melbourne next week so i wont be on then either i just thought id check in and see how everyones doing :)
just having a chilled night tonight backyard bbq with a few of dps friends nice n easy...
im sorry this is so short but i gotta go and start on salads happy new year everyone if i dnt get back on in time to say it :)
Noni - Poor Asha she hasnt been well for at least a week now has she? Hope the sample tells you whats wrong! :( Enjoy your night.
Clare - I hope so too, I'm a nervous wreck today. I cant believe he did that, he works in the car industry ffs! He of all people should know better. I am doing roast chicken, veges and salad too tonight and I've just popped a bottle of red in the freezer to cool it down quick. Our little party will only be a party for two though. The in laws were meant to be coming but arent any longer, woo hoo!!
I am beyond bored today....I seriously have been twiddling my thumbs and googling random stuff, in between entertaining M.
Just a quick one from me to wish Arte a HUGE CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!! You've made me so happy to hear that hun and a great way to end the year - here's to another September bub for you LOL!
OMG ARTE - big big big CONGRATULATIONS:dance:! Woohoooo! What a fantastic Chrissy present!! When did you test/work it out?? I am DYING to hear all the details! I'm guessing it will be an August baby? Leo's and Virgos get on like a house on fire! You have made my day. xxx
DH shopped until he dropped today in the young trendy mens section at Myer and bought a few ummm questionable items. Told him I'd have to take him to Harris Scarfe for some old man's clothes to balance him out LOL. Also got Missy E a cute-as mermaid outfit from Cotton On! We did the Ikea stomp yesterday and have some great ideas for Missy E's bedroom when we finally move in. Chafing at the bit to get home, really.
Well it's a quiet night in, we're still slinking around town, haven't seen all my friends yet. Thought about going to the family fireworks but we'll be able to see them out of the window and after E's terror-stricken tram ride last week don't want to risk the scary fire cracker noises! LOL So she'll be tucked up in bed while we enjoy some 98% fat free nibblies and play some games. Just wanted to pop on and let you all know I will be thinking of you and wishing you all a very happy New Year, filled with all your heart desires! xxx
Happy new year ladies!! 2009 here we come! Wishing you all a safe & prosperous 2009.
Well the money for the car cleared so I'm relieved to say the least.
Bursting at the seams atm, we just had a huge roast dinner, followed by double choc icecream much to M's delight and now a bottle of red wine. Feeling so full!
MD - Woo hoo go your DH!!!
Ladies .. sounds like some good NYE plans going there .. i'm sitting in bed, on msn with a few friends, have noticed Hayley lurking on f.b .. & there is only 23 mins in NSW to go ..
Arty ... CONGRATULATIONS ... i am soooo very happy, now im' crying, sorry
anyways ladies .. Happy New Years & I hope 2009 brings you much happiness & your dreams get fulfilled.
mwah xox
Happy new year!!!
morning ladies
happy new year to everyone!! hope you all had a great night, the 3 of us (or should i say 4 of us?) were all tucked up in bed asleep together at 10.30pm after a big indian feed :)
well i've started the new year in fine form. just went out to the driveway all ready to head out for the day, started the car....and had no petrol!
dh has just gone down to the petrol station to get me a jerry can. whoops!
HAPPY NEW YEAR GIRLS!!!!
just a quick one as BB is a bit slow today....
hope you all had a lovely night and welcome to 2009 ladies!!
here in melbourne it is freezing and raining. very different from the 41 degrees at midnight last year huh?!
happy new year all!!
i put some new pics on fb if anyones interested :)
Okay I think I am officially the worst BB member on this thread. :hide: I'm so sorry for being slack. I'm down in Brissie at mums and am on dial up again. Only just got my net sorted at home then had to regress back to the olden days of dial up.
Congrats Arty...so happy for you.
We may need to change the 3 musketeers though to a typical boy band of 4. We're soon to be TTC. We were originally talking about new years onwards but it might be postpined for a few months now. We're going to Fiji in April so maybe after that. Not sure yet. Gotta to have another talk with DH to see what he thinks. My brothers wife had their second daughter on Monday...Kayla Rose. Can't remember size but was a VBAC which my SIL was hoping for. Mind you she delivered in the theatre after Kaylas heartbeat dropped a bit. My SIL was pushing all the way up to theatre to avoid another c/s. They had a quick look before slicing her and the midwife saw the head.
Still waiting on pics Gracie from the wedding! Good news about DH (exciting getting to say that now, isn't it) standing up for you with the ILs, but bummer about the biffo. Must have just been another way to work off those frustrations. Would be good to have him back with you though now.
Can't remember much else about the rest of the posts...I told you that I'm a slack a$$. Just call me Dory after the fish in Finding Nemo....short term memory loss at its best.
AFM - Well Sarah is running, climbing, bobbing her head in some sort of dance move (will post on youtube (link on fb) once I get home on the weekend), she got some more words but I'm not entirely convinced that shes meaning them or just testing sounds out still. I did get the hint when she shook her head at me when I told her to lie down and go to sleep however. She was spoilt rotten at christmas. We gave her the wheely bug, some boikdo blocks and music table, a bookcase shaped like a dollshouse and some outdoor play things. MIL got her Iggle Piggle blanket time which is being carted everywhere (even down here to my mums), some ITNG plush toys, wooden toys as well as like 3 Little People sets. And thats all I can remember from her. She was spoilt for sure. I'll try to put those pics up as well next week.
Went to Ikea last Sunday and was happy with that, then Monday I went to Spotlight where I scored 75% off my whole docket. Didn't realise that until after, it was only supposed to be the xmas deccys but the cashier made a boo-boo. $100 worth of stuff for $20! SCORE! Headed to Bribie for a picnic on the beach yesterday (lovely but got bitten/stung by sea lice, owies), did nothing last night, had a family bbq lunch today and am heading to Whitewater world tomorrow with DH. Mums offered to look after S all day so that should be good as well. I'll be burnt but happy.
I think thats all for now...BBL if Dory thinks of anything else. TTFN
Oh Oh Oh...saw those pics Noni. Just gorgeous. Where does the time go? They were only just babies yesterday weren't they?
MD, I tested on Christmas day! Baby is due about 6 september, so probably two virgos. How do they get along? I am hoping to hold out to get my 09-09-09 bub but I don't like my chances of getting there if the GD strikes again - I have made a deal with the universe - I will take the GD again if I can skip the morning sickness lol
Thanks for all the congrats, still sinking in and now I am starting to have the 'oh my god what have I done' thoughts lol
It will be a big party month in your house then Arte! Yep virgos get on well with virgos too, if they can agree to be fussy about the same things. You will have the best organised play room in all of NZ I reckon LOL (my E puts things away after she has played with them PMSL...gotta encourage that)! Good luck with your universal deal...methinks it's not quite that simple. :)
Well today I was watching my E playing with her little toddler friend (who is my friend's last little one) just WISHING that either of us could squeeze out another little gorgeous perfect little human being (aint going to happen) but fortunately there are the brave amongst us like you who will. You will never regret opening your heart to another little one. xxx:
now I am starting to have the 'oh my god what have I done' thoughts lol
Although I am having a weird patchy barely there AF right now which is bound to play on my imagination after a friend told me about a work colleague who got his wife preggers for the SECOND time after his SECOND vasectomy! :o Jeepers those babies really wanted to get on the planet!
Kate, no such thing as bad thread buddies. We all dip in and dip out as we need and that's ok. xxx BTW I was wetting myself with envy when I read about your OTT spotlight bargain - score! LOL
Clare OMG you have obviously retained far more brain function than me over the last year since I can't remember what the weather was last week let alone a year ago! LOL
Rainy, oops on the petrol! Hope it was just that and not an enginus malfunctionus maximus. I'm pretty sure it was just the Universe telling you to stay at home on the couch for the day...;).
MM so glad the money cleared, that could've got very bad very fast. Let's hope it's an auspicious omen of good things to come in 2009!
just a quick one from me .. bit teary .. been surfing family law courts online & downloading divorce information so that if that is the path I choose, I'm ready & I know what I am doing
anyways .. sorry to rain on the party
