Andie, I think that if that is where your life is leading you ATM, then I think you should go back. I know he's not been much help in the past, but maybe there is an option for the Boys' Dad to take them for a day or a few hours to give you some me time to recharge yourself - I know it's been bloody hard work for you to do it on your own and I think you deserve to look after yourself as well. Plus with all your friends there you will be back in your village kwim? They may not be where you are at with kids etc, but just knowing they are able to come and visit and do stuff together will really help your mental well-being too. And the winner in my book is that you will be able to get proper help for Alex without having to travel all the time. But that said, you should definately take a bit of time to think about it more and *know* that you are ready to make the move again
