Pap- with asha we weren't really sure what happened with the bf we just couldn't get her to attatch it could have been her lip but im not sure because we didn't know about it till her teeth came in..

I can't believe I am almost 30wks pregnant!! Until I look in the mirror at the 10kgs I've put on eeeeeeekk!!!
Well talked to the childcare centre and they have the spot but the bond has left them so I need to talk to the council about it all grrrr sooo annoying!! The problem was she was in the centre and then got sick and I had to take her out coz no one could tell me how long it would take for her to get rid of the crypto and it was contagious so I took her out coz I couldn't continue to pay for the spot of she wasn't going... its taken this long to process the whole bond crap and its driving me crazy!! Anyway better go ring them before asha wakes up!
Arte - dont you DARE stop telling us all of Mr W's tricks, I LOVE those stories!! we are here to share everything about parenting these wonderful little things... and i agree it just shows how they are all different. iwonder if your next bubba will follow the same trajectory or not?

AFM - Found out that S has her 2 year molars coming thru, shes been chewing her fingers and drooling like a champ (visible in fiji photos). So checked her mouth and the back teeth are budding. Poor little thing.
Ohhhh Arte please do not stop telling us W stories, the things he comes out with make me laugh. DH & I still joke about bum cream!! Its a shame that people dont believe you, or you are made to feel like the other mums are jealous or whatever, to the point where you have to 'dumb him down'. Why cant people just accept that he is a very smart boy for his age?! Dont feel awkward (for want of a better word) that he is so smart, & ignore the MIL! Keep going with the funny W stories!
Kate - poor little thing. i feel so sorry for them when they r so sore and irritated coz of their mouth is ouchie.
Noni - the BF session sounds gr8. yep every baby is diff so def worth giving it your best shot.

AFM - now that i am at work today, i say to myself 'what was i thinking even considering TTC again'. lol. i don't think i was cut out to b a HW/SAHM. i def think now 3+ yr gap. i took myself to a baby store while my car was in for service on monday. the lady was showing me the phil and ted's double pram thingo. i was secretly trying to put myself off TTC again coz it may mean selling my bugaboo and buying another pram. i think it worked! i might wait til T can walk byself (+ not run off) without pram b4 TTC. my life may b easier then BUT then on the other hand if i do it now, the child will b 1 year old..... mmmm decisions, decisions....
md- it's probably about 45 mins drive for me, but some days i drive around aimlessly with both kids asleep in the car just to get some peace and quiet, so i could just include it into one of those trips.
i'm so tired atm, looking forward to the weekend to get a bit of a rest.
got my tests back- u/s came back all clear but blood showed a virus and abnormality on liver so now i have to go for more tests.
Well the good news ladies is, I messaged the lady and she's preparing a postage quote for me ! So there might be a bit of hot ebay action at my house tonight !

Kate - Pregpan and Cally and a couple of the ladies swear by the brauers teething relief, maybe give that a shot if you haven't tried it before.
I have a cousin Evelyn (bit younger than DD1) whose name's Evelyn, they call her Evie, really suits her and she's a sweetie so I'd say it's a great name! I know I'm repeating myself but I love all the 'e' sounding names, like Eadie, Evie, Edith, Enid, etc...that's how we got Missy E (cos DH vetoed my other e names LOL).
MD - yep, i think waiting's the go. What made u actually decide on TTC#2 and do it, after such a traumatic birth the first time? Yay for ebay postage lady... i hope she doesn't bump it up too much. Good luck!! i c there is only still 1 bid. wait til the 11th hour i reckon and then put in your bid.
Kate - yes i use the brauers teething relief - T loves it and is happy after i give it to her.
Good question, first of all a really good friend very kindly suggested to me that I need never have to go through a labour like that again, that there are such things are C/Sections and you can ASK to have one. Then it was just a matter of waiting until the time felt right - TBH would love to have gone again when DD1 was about 4.5 but as it was I had just returned to work and I was enjoying having an income too much plus also thinking about doing some study to get me a really good career. What really happened was DH and I went away for a weekend in the Blue Mountains, totally fell stupidly in love with him all over again and realised that I wanted nothing more than to give him another baby.
MD - i am a little surprised that the doctors 9 yrs ago didn't suggest it to you. but i don't want to open that can up for you again, unless u do.
my DH and I were talking about another and i said absolutely no way. after a few more discussion i remembered that a friend was put out during the birth - so now i consider it an option again. my body is very resilient to drugs by the looks and i need a fair whack to not feel anything. i do miss the indispensible income sometimes, but love my DD to bits. How romantic u went to the Blue Mountains and fell i love again... that is such a nice memory. did u worry at all about your body being in any state to hold another child? i don't know whether i should b worried about making sure those stomach muscles have come back together. a physio at the baby expo a year ago said she would def recommend i do these sit ups to get them back in place b4 another one, and that the exercises would take a year b4 the muscles will b back to normal. it freaked me out and i haven't done any exercise except for walking since. do u think its worth worrying about? i have heard its difficult to get your body back the second time, especially if u have excess left from the first. i am still 10kgs heavier than b4 having T. i c u as my mentor on this, as i was pretty scared after T's birth.
gypsy - really? do u have a six pack when those muscles are together? maybe mine didn't even start off together LOL forgot to check on that one didn't I? HA HA.
MD - why is it SO worth it ONCE you have 'em in your arms. but the decision is so HUGE beforehand. weird isn't it?
I had a really badly managed induction in a small regional hospital where my pain levels and copingness was not monitored, the midwife should have retired a couple of decades previous cos she was no help at all. The midwives at TCH where I went to have DD2 could not believe what I told them happened at various stages of the labour. Once they put me onto the syntocinin it just got out of hand, the pain was literally too big for me, I stopped believing I was ever going to make it out of that room alive. I suspect DD was actually posterior based on what I remember of her being born, plus she had the cord wrapped around her neck, twice, her arm and her leg so at the end they were not interested in making sure I didn't tear etc but rather just getting her out QUICK. There's a thread about it here. Don't read it unless you're feeling brave!!!
Supa - More like a 'fat pack'! No I've never really had what you'd call a nicely toned tummy, but it wasnt too bad. I can definately feel the seperated muscles now though.
MD - WOW how scary, I feel your pain as reading your short little post about it here made me think back. M was posterior too and I also had a rough induction. 36 hrs later she was born! However the getting her out quickly part & not worrying about you, I shudder at that thought, poor you! I will be off to read your thread on it now.
Gypsy I am well aware that my first experience is right 'out there' in terms of being at the very extreme end of birthing experiences...so I try not to talk about it a lot. Don't want to put the younger players off, IYKWIM. Funny thing was I was such an advocate of natural, drug-free birth, had read all the books and done all the prep, I was pretty fearless going into it, but it wasn't to be for me. I actually think my body is wired a bit different to other peoples and you know what, in the end it doesn't matter. I'm here and I have two gorgeous girl to show for my efforts!
BTW I know what you mean about that first para - I do wonder if I would be keeping my breast if the GP had taken it more seriously after E was born. Even the clinical specialist ultrasound man had trouble finding the dodgey tissue and I *SHOULD* have been referred for a mammogram. Am seeing my wonderful new GP next week and I'm going to discuss with her whether I should write to that GP about it or not...

MD: i'll also stick my hand up and offer to pick up the 'mystery winning package'...what was it that they said about curiosity and cats?? LOL! love to do it and would revel in the chance to check out the doncaster shopping sights. i have heard it is pretty AWESOME!
Supa: i too had pretty massive separation with the muscles in my belly. the middies were all 'impressed'. they told me not to do the situps actually...they reckon that it can place too much pressure on those muscles. instead they recommend gentle tightenings (kinda like pelvic floor excersises but only for the belly LOL!). but i would recommend calling a physio or somelike for good advice on that...
oopps better go, DH got back from walking the dog, so my *2 minutes only* on BB has raged LOL!
