MD, bummer about the post, that is very irritating. H and I are peas in a pod! I can't believe how similar we are - I am also a 'wear the first thing I clamp eyes on' person and clothes shopping is an absolute horror for me. I am amazed at how expensive kids clothing is, it is at least $14 for pants and about $17 for tops here, and that is just the starting point for plain things. I have been meaning to ask for ages - did you watch the end of BSG? As a warning - please please don't save the final episode to cheer yourself up!
SupaB, we decided on a closer age gap because I have a 5 year gap between me and my bro and it didn't work for us, whereas DH has 2-3 years between his brothers and they get along well. I know a lot of it is personality of the kids though, so close together/far apart doesn't automatically mean they will get along. Also financially because I am going to be a SAHM until the youngest goes to school I didn't want to spread them out too far, I am already looking at being out of the workforce for 7 years and it is frigging boring sometimes - I wouldn't like to stretch it out longer than neccessary.
Rainy, I was just thinking about Olive this morning. Don't think DH would go for it though. Amelia is topping our girls list atm.
Clare, you could always move over here, your deposit would probably buy you something nice in a friendly small community here. I am feeling less patriotic atm though because it is really bloody cold!
OMG, it?s slow today, taking forever to load a page.
MD, that is why I always Ctrl + C my posts before I hit that button!! Hope the soup was good. I do like the Target clothes, they seem to fit DD. The Kmart ones always seem on the small side and I also don?t like how everything there seems to be bright pink or has big pictures of Dora on it!! I do wish clothes would come in the right size ? I?ve have to get Mum to take up a few pairs of K?s size 1 pants and there was one that I ended up going back and getting her the Size 0!!
Supa ? at the moment we are only planning on the one bub. There is 2.5 years between my and my next sister and we tended to get on pretty well. The next sister was 6 years younger than me and that felt like a really big gap when we were growing up (ie I don?t remember any of her high school friends because I was away at uni / working then). Just telling you that for another perspective. If we were going to have another one, I would be looking at a 2.5 ? 3 year gap I think.
Rainy ? how was occ care? Did he have fun?
Kate ? glad that Fiji was fun.
Anyone else still waiting to be stimulated? We?re also waiting for our CCTR from the Jan ? Mar quarter, that is taking ages. Come on Kev, send some money our way!!
I was told yesterday I had too much leave and I must have some time off. I have 30.8 days, and they like us to keep it below 30. So I have booked a day in June (day after my birthday) and am going to treat myself to a facial and a manicure. Would love to do a styling day like Jaz though!!
arte- i have a bit of a dislike as my xbf's xgf was named amelia...yes, i still holdge a grudge...stupid i know, but you know how certain people turn you off a name?
olive is my absolute favourite atm, it's just so pretty.
i think evie would go really well with your surname too.
well everyone lewis realy enjoyed going to care this morning. we stayed for 2 hours and he was singing and dancing and even snuggled up on a beanbag with a little girl named eliza and she read him a book. the leader is a funky looking grandma with purple trackies who goes around singing and cuddling up to the kids on a big old chair. it was pretty cool. he starts there next monday-there is 6 kids in the group (7 with lewis) and 3 carers- pretty good ratio reckon!
now i have to buy him a lunchbox and schoolbag....my little man is growing up! *sob sob*
cally- we got our stimulus money last week. did you do your taxes through an accountant? as our cheques were sent to our accountant and then he sent them to us which explains some of the delay.
ooohhh beauty day sounds like bliss. get a pedicure while you're there too, i love pedicures.....i wanna go get one badly!!!!
Arte - haven't watched it yet...saw the final ep of part 1 of season 4 and decided it was prolly going to be a little on the too-bleak side. Had a few bleak weeks in there and could only handle light and fluffy. Haven't forgotten either that I'm sending something to you. When I get around to it!
Cally are you really planning on only having the 1? Was this a post-birth decision or something you always wanted? BTW I did copy the post but then my whole puter crashed so it well and truly went to cybernowhere. Cally I think it's close enough to May 16th to justify ringing them to enquire!!
Rainy - huge wooohoooo! on the care! See, we told you it would be good .
