Hi ladies, I'm here, v.tired but relieved. Was terrified but of course didn't need to be. Sorta feel normal but tired and tonight my hands are all tingly. Hope that improves...don't much like the thought of not being able to feel my hands for 4+ months! Plus I'm starving - must be the 'roids kicking in LOL. Also pleased cos Dr has ok'd my naturopathy regimen AND CT scan on Fri was ok results. Anyway just wanted to let you all know all is well and 1 done, 5 to go!

Geez, i've been hanging out for BB tonight! Kids went to bed beautifully and dh is away in melbourne. I've watched Lush House (can't wait to try out some new cleaning ideas) and have been cruising the putie.
Katie - hope your little bubba is good for you tomorrow, and let's you see him/her beautifully
Pap - hope N is feeling better soon. You must be getting exhausted right about now.
    hi to everyone

Hannah has her eye teeth trying to break through the skin, so needless to say she is finding it difficult to cope in certain situations (namely when i ask her to stop doing something or i want to get her dressed )

I felt so horrible this afternoon. I was at school picking up the girls and there was a big puddle nearby. 2 little boys were having a lovely time walking through it, as you do. The mother of one of them came around the corner, and i joked with her that they were having a wonderful time in the puddle. She asked which one did it - i answered both of them (thinking it was all a bit of fun) and she grabbed her child and absolutley walloped him on the backside!!!!!! I felt absolutely dreadful. Poor little thing I'm going to be keeping my mouth shut around her from now on.

    anyway, must head to bed.
    talk to you tomorrow.

eta - Hi MD!!!!!!!!! I think the whole of bb has been thinking of you today I'm glad that it wasn't too bad. Did they find the vein ok?
Did you have some nice nurses? i hope you can sleep well tonight.

MD - glad you're feeling OK, how are those hands today?

    PAP - isn't it a small world. I finished in '93. I'm guessing you finished in '94.

Just found out my niece had to go to hospital last night - bad croup. They were there from 9:30 until 2am and she was awake the whole time (on steroids). She is having a huge sleep but my poor sister has been awake since 5:30 because that is when my niece normally wakes up! Hope she gets an afternoon nap in.

hi Cally - your poor sister, and your poor little niece. Sleeps all around at their house i'd say.

I wish i could sleep today. Hannah is EXHAUSTING me! She has her eye teeth trying to break through (i think they must all be coming at once ) she is incredibly irritable, and i just put her back in her cot 4 times in 10 minutes. all is quiet now, so i'd better go and check on her.
ok, she's sound asleep. off to make a cuppa and find some cooking chocolate

MD, glad to hear that your first nuke session wasn't too traumatic. I hope the tingling fingers go away quickly.

JaZaH, hope those toothies make an appearance soon, it is soo tiring when nothing makes them happy

Oz, how was the scan? Did you find out the gender? I think you were having a surprise? I wish I had just asked, the amount of times I have looked at the dvd trying to spy bits is stupid.

Cally and PAP, am I reading that correctly, you went to the same school a year apart? Crazy!

Gypsy, hope the bleeding has settled down. I went to a midwife early this time round at about 5 weeks but only because I was concerned about my slightly high blood sugars. Otherwise I would have waited a bit longer, just do whatever feels best for you.

Rainy, yay on the bribery money! Is there a friend or relative who could come and stay for a couple of days, help with the kids and have some catch up time at night?

    I CAN LOG ONTO BB!!!!!!!!!!!

yes, i am so sad that i was completely lost without it!!

PP and Cally: seriously? you guys were at school together and only a year apart?! ha ha that is too funny!

MD: tingly hands = hand massage and manicure.

Rainy: i totally missed the whole scoring of large sums of money from DH. you go girl!

JaZ: we are the same in this house. although it appears that her eye teeth are taking weeks to come through. but i notice that she is only frazzled when they are right under the skin ITMS. but its the pits thats for sure!

Arte: yeah, i'm afraid that i would just go insane with guessing the sex so i know that like last time i will *have* to find out before birth day...no willpower.

AFM: well we have had a pretty intense week. found our DREAM home, only to be informed that our bestest friends are also going for it. completely devastated. i thought to be the 'nice' person and pull out but have been pretty torn up about it. ah well, surely there's gotta be a home somewhere for us.
also, i just want to leave this house. a guy was murdered the other night just a few houses up in front of our 7/11 (you know where i was getting my slushie fix). and the murder weapons and car were dumped behind my friend from mothers group house. they now have blood all over the back fence of their place. i just hate it. i think we need a new start. i dont really want my girl growing up in such a violent area anymore. (we have noticed a whole heap of violent crime increasing in this part of brunswick lately, who knows why?!).

Well BB has been driving me crazy today, don't seem to be able to post, then I touched a button and lost everything I typed? So you're getting the condensed version.

Feeling ok today, sorta pregnant really - tired, hungry, nauseous. Not too bad. Going to do lots of energy work on my hands/fingers so I dont' get the nerve damage happening there.

Clare I reckon L being italian should have some sort of cooking gene already. Tho I'd be happy to lend R out for the weekend to teach him how to bake, provided me and the girls can tag along too LOL!

Arte - I can just imagine you hunched over the screen, peering. LOL

PAP and Cally, just waiting for the day you girls realise you've known each other from school all along! lol

Jazah big Hugs. That horrible puddle woman, get a life! Hope you go one better than cooking choc and find an old ferrero behind a coffee cup or something. xxx

Thinking of everyone else today, but don't have time to post. Got to go and have a nap before I try to pull this house into some sort of order. Hannah is having her Confirmation at church tonight so we will have guests for an early dinner. Better get my A into G.

ETA - Clare don't pull out from going for your dream house just because you friends are. Just don't talk about the price or anything with them and may the best offer win, kwim? If they are a good friend I'm sure the understanding should go both ways.

MD good to hear your doing ok. I hope the tingly hands have stopped.

Clare I think you should still go for the house.

Arte LMAO at you looking at your scan to try and find out the gender, I wouldnt have a clue what I was looking for.

    Gypsy how are you feeling??

Jaz poor little H with all those teeth popping through.

Cally how is your niece doing??

PAP your MIL sounds terrible. I cant believe you and cally went to the same school.

A big hello to everyone else.

AFM had my scan today and all was great. Didn't get any pics besides one DH took on his phone but can't complain as the scan was bulk billed. I have a 3d scan booked in 6 weeks just so I can have another peak at bubs. Bub was perfect although rather shy and wouldnt face us, making checking the heart very difficult lol. L had a great day with his uncle and almost scored some hermit crabs, thats the last time BIL is aloud to take him to the pet shop lol. I am buggered so had better go to bed.

    hi everyone...
Oz did you find out gender? i cant remember what you were doing... yay on a great scan, it is so exciting isnt it to see the bub all healthy in there... the 3d will be great too...
my MIL is OK actually and she was v helpful this weekend - she just has a way with words... drives me crazy sometimes but is also great at others. those commenst though...
MD i am so glad you are doing so well. hope your tinglies are fading... it better not get so tingly you cant post! greaty to be able to count down the treatments... when do you go in again?
Rainy - what is the shopping tally at now?
Cally - yep i was in class of 94... this is v bizarre... well not so bizarre in good old canberra but weird... we can play the i know you know game... hope your neice is ok now. croup can be sooo awful.
clare - difficult one about the house... i dont know what i would do in that situation. that murder sounds terible, def time to get out...
gypsy - when did you decide to head to gp. and how are you?
trill - where are you, hope all is ok.

afm all is fine.. poor N had a cold/lurgy which (surprise surprise) has now become an ear infection... so he is back on ABs. the winter roundabout continues. had him home yest with me but he is back at kindy today... seems good. was up ALL NIGHT on Mon night but slept really well last night.. and seems so much better. DH and I have had a gastro thing - amazing hwo it isnt about me anynore - here i am 34 wks preg, gastro etc etc and i am up ALL night with a baby and have to bouncebaxk the next day... oh well, only about 21 more yrs til the world can revolve around me again LOL!

Poor little Noah, I was sooo hoping he'd cruise through it this year!! Rotten luck with the gastro, hope you've caught up on some of your rest....you'll be a lady of ??leisure soon tho, when does your mat leave officially start?

Cally, how is yr neice today?

Katie I LOL'd at the hermit crab scenario. Nice to play with on the beach, not so fun cooped up in a tank! Oh well at least it wasn't a pregnant mouse either LOL.

Clare how you going today? How's the brunswick escape plan coming along? I reckon you just need to get really clear on what qualities you are prepared to compromise on in order to get the qualities you really want, then once that's laser-clear, you'll know exactly which house to buy without being buffeted about by all the other market forces. xxx

Arte do you still have snow over there? How's the cold-weather indoor entertainment coming along?

Rainy, has the bribe jackpotted to a family holiday yet? LOL What's the plan for getting thru the weekend?

Trill - so happy to read you're getting rain!! I bet everything's so new and shiny looking with all the dust washed off! LOL

Jazah - how are you going today? I hope H is a little more pleasant for you today. I'd hate for you to have to resort to cooking choc two days in a row!

Well I'm a bit excited, looks like Supa and me will finally be getting together for a coffee tomorrow (if only we can work out where to go, I have *no clue* having been a recluse these last few months LOL). Anyway it's pretty exciting because it'll be the first live BB sighting of our gal S and I'm hoping T will come too!!

    Hi girls!

i had *issues* getting on here again this morning... but i made it! i'd make a good junkie me thinks LOL!

Oz: ooh no! i used to have hermit crabs when i was a young tween and they are heaps and heaps of work. and i felt so cruel keeping them cooped up in a tank when all they wanted to do was explore the big wide world (they are genius escape artists and will move things to the side of the tank and gradually build up scaffolding and escape...found one in the middle of the road one morning doing his big jail break (yes, managed to get out of the house, through the yard, down the gutter!).

MD: oh jealous over here! so nice to meet with BB crew! take some piccies!

PP: you guys have had a really rough trot this year with lurgies. hope you feel better soon and can manage some rest while N is at kindy. i wish we lived up the road still! now that i know you are there, we could have many catch-ups and helping hands moments!! arrgh! maybe even N and L would have gone to the same kindy!!

MD, I forgot to reply about your exciting potential NZ holiday! I hope you get to come, you are all welcome to stay with us if you come this way, we would love to have you. Hopefully we might actually have some of our home improvements done by then too lol. There is a big SA tourism advertising thing on here atm, the gateway to the outback apparently?? I think of you every time they show the ad - they are standing right in front of the Haighs shop LMAO

PAP, hopefully N gets all the winter badies over and done with early so you are all healthy when bub arrives. I would hate to see a little newborn all snotted up.

Clare, I hope you can move soon. Your area sounds terrible!

W is his normal delightful self. I can't believe how lucky we are to have such a beautiful lovely child. He is so sweet. Yesterday he was outside playing and I heard him at the door saying 'mum open door', so I let him in and he had an arm load of firewood to bring in!

He is actually having a day nap today, I don't know what to do with myself! Actually, I have the GTT tomorrow so I am going to sit here and eat chocolate lol

    hi girls

clare- i thought of you when i saw that on the news. what area are you planning on moving into?

i just bought lewis a bargain trike from the second hand shop. so excited to use it.

not looking to forward to the weekend. gonna head to dad's tomorrow. have roped my brother into coming to the playcentre with the boys and i on saturday morning cos dad has to work. hopefully everything goes well without dh.

bought jimmy a special mirror that pays music for in the car- dh is gonna put it in there tonight so hopefully that sorts out the car situation a little.

ange- thanks for all your help the other day. been sticking to the 40min wake time and it seems to be going heaps better- it's hard work though-v time consuming.

arte- does w get the mail as well? lmao. he's better than a well-trained dog!

PAP - how funny is that, going to the same school!! You probably wouldn't remember me, was pretty quiet and not involved in too much, however had lots of friends that were involved in music stuff. I was in Deakin, what about you? Did you see K and I in the G report? Hope N is feeling a bit better, we are trying K tonight for the first time in a month without her vapourizer and euky rub on! I'm guessing we'll only last a week or so until she has another cold.

Arte - W is so cute, bringing firewood in! Enjoy that chocolate, are you concerned about your GTT test?

Rainy - hope the mirror thing helps in the car for Jimmy

MD - have fun with SB!

Niece is doing heaps better. They gave her some more steroids the next night because they could tell she was starting to get wheezy and she went really hyper again at my other sister's for dinner. Apparently the comment was made that it was a bit like having Katie over for dinner!! (niece is very placid usually compared to K)

hi everyone!! i was lost with the forums down for 24 hrs!
wow so there is a haighs at the 'door to the outback' - hmm sounds yummy!! Hope MD and SB are having a good gossip and catch up. Jealous a little here...
Clare I wish you lived around the corner now too... were you on BB back then and I just didnt twig you were literally 2 streets away. oh the coffees and chats we could have...and L could have been N's forst girlfriend..
Cally - too bizarre. I was in Waverley - was house captain actually. did you recognise me when we met up - I didnt recognise you or i would have said something but i am pretty hopeless. i didnt even realise you grew up in canberra or i am sure i would have asked which school etc. i had a few friends in your year too actually. and i did lots of music - played the cello and sax (theres something none of you knew about me) so i am sure we have no degrees of seperation. imagine back then if i had come up and said in 15 yrs we will be chatting online about our kids...( i didnt even have email or the internet!) most bizarre and great!glad your niece is doing better. LOL at the hyperactivity meaning she is like K!
Rainy - hope the weekend goes ok. whats the shopping tally at now? i hope it has been bumped up a bit! will you get some rest at your dad's? your fam sounds really suportive, it is lovely. i hope the mirror thingy helps.
arte - will is just divine. i love your will stories!
md - how are the hands?

wow you're so close now. did you go early with n?

Good news Rainy. It will get easier. xx Oh i meant to say, i use the dummy in the car too. Sometimes i have to pull over to try and get her to take it, but buys me a bit of time.

Clare- i agree with MD, if it's your dream home then you should go for it. Imagine if your friends miss out and the winning buyer gets it for less than you were prepared to pay?! That would suck.

MD- How you feeling today love?

Preg- I feel for you. i had gastro at about 34 week and it wasn't pretty. I spewed in the sink whilst simultaneously pooing in my uggboots. .............. Is that what's reffered to as an overshare?

Lu sat on Sas today. She was clucking her tounge like she was riding a horse. I can't leave her on the floor for a second unsupervised.

Not really sure what to make of all this swine flu hype. The bug has not proven to be any worse than the normal flu. So i don't quite understand the panic. Do they think it might become a more severe bug?

Arte- You enjoying that choccy? Good luck for your GTT tomorrow. You taking W?
