Oz - Thanks for that, didnt know jeanswest do maternity jeans & they are nice!! I am going to try to make the 12 wks before any purchases though, dont want to jinx myself. I have been using the dryer all day, as its wet & windy here too.

Jaz - Saw the pic on FB, so adorable. I had thought of doing that with my skinny jeans but before long I wont be able to get my butt into them HAHA! My boobies are growing already WOO HOO amazing!

Clare - Oh no poor L, ear aches are terrible. Have you had any sleepless nights? The antibiotics will clear it up fast. Use painstop to get you through the first few nights if need be. Very clever girl telling you its sore though. Bummer about the blackmores, I didnt take any pre conception vitamins however I did start on normal pregnancy tablets ( when I remembered to take them). Now I am on the blackmores pregnancy, which ones did you use with L?

Rainy - Thanks will check out target! I noticed a few weeks back (when I was dreaming of being utd) that they have some nice maternity clothes. Yay for dinner! Your dad is friggen awesome with L.

Arte - No doubt I will get around in trackies too, but just for when we get invited out etc. I felt like a real slob towards the end with M & I am vowing not to do that again lol. Love the pics of W in the snow!!

Trill - Good on you for splurging on yourself for once. It always seems to be that we are buying for the kids, so yay for you!

MD - Oh thats great, the girls will love the nastehhh (LMAO) barbie kitchen. Where did you get it from?

Been having a bit of bleeding over the past couple of days, but it hasnt gone past the brownish stage yet, sorry if TMI, so hopefully that just means its old blood. I remember with M I had early bleeding, that turned into period like bleeding, but she was fine obviously. So I will wait to see what the doc says next Wed, I must admit this time around I have been so laid back about it all, which is why I'm not running off the doc today lol.

I am away at mums for the weekend and going down to visit my cousins new little bub but I just wanted to pop in and say:

MD, thinking of you as monday approaches, I hope you can have a good weekend and are in a good headspace. Remember that the fear and anxiety of the unknown is usually far worse than the actual event - think of all the times in your life when you have been dreading something only to find it was nowhere near as bad as you thought or a complete non-event.
And if you do get sick from it, you know that you are a strong woman and you know you can get past nausea and tiredness - you have done it before and now have two beautiful babies to remind you! The only difference is that the new life that you are creating this time is for you.

MIL driving me mental. Told me yesterday if i just put a load of washing on every morning and put it away each night it wouldn't build up. :wall: Also told me she knows another girl who put on alot of weight all over her body when she was preg. :rolleyes: i just ignore her. She's only trying to help i know, but she suffers from foot in mouth disease. ;)

G- We went out to dinner last night! Must be the week for it. Went to a nice pub in Yea. We got home and Lulu was still awake. :o she conned her Nan into reading books for 3 hours. sucker.

ROFL Ange, you gotta love the misguided advice you get from the MIL sometimes dont you? I think a lot of that generation don't seem to get that we actually enjoy spending time with our children and interracting with them, so sometimes the washing just has to wait. I hope Lu doesn't have a cranky day today with being up so late. And no, we aren't getting any rain, but I think we will be blown away if this wind keeps up! It's been hanging around for days now.

MD, I'm sure all will go well on Monday, and you will tackle it the way you have tackled everything to this point.

H, I'm sure the bleeding is nothing to worry about :hug: The second time round certainly does make you feel a bit more relaxed with the whole thing and you don't tend to worry as much.

Like I said, no rain but OMG the wind!!!! You just can't do anything when it's this windy. I have 8 loads of washing to hang out and it's so dusty. I had another dentist appt yesterday and DH had the two little ones, so I said I would take all the washing in and do it at the laundromat cause we are really really low on water and I did 8 loads LOL! Luckily there was no one else in there so I filled the 4 machines and just read a few magazines while I waited, then did the next 4.

JaZaH that is so sweet about H sleeping under her cot! That would've freaked you out when you first went into her room tho!! :) Thanks for asking about the sideeffects. Dr Compassion reckons minimal sideeffects...except Hair Loss (!!! big deal to the average punter). But I'm not sure that he's twigged that I'm a research-level librarian who has done her reading. All the regular stuff like nausea, fatigue, mouth ulcers, right thru to some really choice ones about finger numbness (meaning you can't hold small things) and temporary or permanent loss of fertility (! I'm only 37 for crying out loud, I'm not ready to enter my crone years, thanks). But I've already spoken to several people who have breezed thru their lymphoma treatment - apparently if you have lots of disease in your body the sideeffects can be worse because the dying funky cells release funky chemicals into your system which can make you feel quite sick. So since there's probably not a lot swimming around in my body I'm in a good position to breeze thru it. Plus I have supports like a naturopath and a energy-healer to assist me which many others do not. Other resource that I've just discovered: DH got called into his boss's office yesterday, apparently he got "counselled" for not taking enough time off when I had surgery PMSL. There's a senior-ranking person in his new workplace who had lymphoma treatment a few years ago (!!!) Apparently well and healthy now but it means R now has someone he can go and talk to about stuff AND because he's highish ranking it also means he'll have support if there are any sticky Leave situations that arise. Little do they realise how much time R will have to take off work later on when I have my big surgery PMSL - they might regret encouraging him later on. :p

Arte - I too love your snow pictures. There has been talk here in SA about a family holiday to NZ...of course I've got to get back to work first but stay tuned...!

Katie I'm jealous of your new dryer. There has been talk here but so far it has materialised into the form of a new retractable clotheline under the back verandah. :o Not quite the same thing I'm afraid!

Jaz - loving your story about H sleeping under the cot! That's so funny. You'll be able to tell that one over and over when she's older and she will think it's hilarious! Good luck with reading A New Earth, my advice is take it a few pages at a time, it's not a light read at all. Also have a look on Oprah's website, lots of good stuff on there about it!

Clare, yeah I was pretty impressed by the woodenness of the pink B*rbie kitchen LOL. Will need to stick some decals over the B*rbie word tho...on the Gruen transfer this week they said that they've discovered that kids have brand recognition as early as 18 months! Don't want to get her hooked on mattel products too early LOL. You have done so well to get L to this age and never having had ABs!! Hope you find out what it is in the supplement that's causing problems - were you just nauseated to the point of chucking or was it like an allergic-got-to-come-out reaction? Not good either way.

Rainy - have you got into the playdough yet?

Wonder how Leanne's getting on, she's had sick boys too this week. :(

AFM - Having a pretty mellow weekend here, going to get some gardening done. :)

ange- your mil sounds nearly as bad as mine! your weight is fine btw...you look great. do you know if there is a metalicus factory outlet somewhere? i really badly need some new clothes as i have decided to embrace my new cuddlier figure and just go with it.

trill- well done on all the washing. i've noticed i do sooo much more since jimmy came along, it's crazy.

i sold my baby hammock on ebay and yesterday the winning bidder came to pick it up. she had a toddler and newborn (born 3 days before jimmy) so ended up coming inside and her toddler was playing with lewis while she was breastfeeding the nb. she was so lovely! she ended up staying for a while and we were chatting away while the kids were playing- so funny!then she messaged me last night to saythe nb was asleep in the hammock, as i told her that jimmy hated it! lol i wish she lived a little closer as she was really sweet- she had driven an hour and a half to come and get it though.

md- good news that dh is so well supported at work. no playdough here yet- need tobuy some cream of tartare but haven't left the mountain in 3 days lol

i threw up a couple of times from taking elevit on an empty stomach first thing in the morning. i've aso thrown up from taking a blackmores one to improve your skin and hair-back in the days when i used to care about stuff like that lol

well dh wants to go away dirtbike riding nxt weekend from fri morning till sunday night and i am sh7tting myself- just don't know how i'll go with no help at all for that amount of time. think i might have to go stay at dad's- but lewis is quitehard to get to sleep there as he gets all hyped up..ooooh what to do? i keep pretending that i'm not going to let dh go as a leverage...so far he has offered me a massage and $300 cash to spend on clothes...woo hoo...i'm going to drag it out a little further to see what else i can score LOL

Mmmmm, DH just brought me a cappuccino choc-chip muffin - fresh baked by himself. I love that man! Have been a total piggy for the last ten days or so...am reliably informed all food will taste like cardboard for the next 4 months so am making the most of my tastebuds while I still can. LOL!

Well, feeling the reach of swine flu - we have a teacher at our school who is married to my aunty's boss, and aunty tells me that this teachers's children have been quarantined because there has been a confirmed case at the school they go to...OMG that's frickken scary as it's only a couple of short steps removed from being at our school, kwim? When you hear it like that you understand why the quarantine is so important, kwim?

Hmmm so I dont know if I am maybe being too relaxed about it all, but I am still bleeding on & off. I am not so worried atm as it isnt bright red iykwim, just brownish. I wont be seeing my doc till 5pm Wednesday. Should I try get in earlier? I still have sore boobies, & twinges in the abdomen, but no ms yet. I keep telling myself that I had this with M. I wonder if doing another pregnancy test is worth it?

MD- She did do some washing, but man am i glad she flew out today. :wall: I am wishing the very best of luck tomorrow. Wish i was as good with my words as Arte, i'm not, so instead i'll just say...... what she said! ;)

MM- I am a bit of the school of thinking that there isn't much you can do about it if the bleeding is something anyway. So if it was me i would wait for my drs appointment. I mean, they can do something like send you for blood tests, but it would only make me worry more. I didn't get m/s until about 7 weeks. fingers crossed all is ok. xx

A big hello to everyone else.

Had a great weekend here, did a shoot with the most adorable little girl on Saturday, then went and got my dryer and spent Sunday with my bestie chatting and teasing Dh lol. The sun is out today so hopefully I can get some washing caught up and L can play outside. He slept in his big boy bed last night woooo hooooo. I have my scan tomorrow and I cant wait, thankfully it is first thing in the morning.

MD I am thinking of you today. sorry i havent been on much but my thoughts have been with you. your positive energy and spirit will get you through these times.

Rainy - bridge rd metallicus is great - my mum lives about a block away so i go there OFTEN! it is most of my mat wardrobe!! it has loads of good stuff... both discounted and non discounted. if i was coming down i woujld say lets dump all our kids with mum and go together...

Ange - your MIL sounds terrible... kinda like mine (who was here this weekend) on the tact factor. we were out at the shops on fri and she said 'it must be so hard looking at all these great clothes when you arent looking your best...' aaah thanks, i am 33 wks preg you know!! i wasnt planning on buying a tailored suit or pair of skinnies in the next few months. last preg she also told me 'some ppl have fetshes for preg women - and fatties' (that was after some weirdo was perving at me at the pool). oh there are so many stories we could all share... that said it was graet to have them here this weekend, they helped out heaps and i actually did feel rested at the end of the weekend. i think my 'i have to do everything myself' defences are down so i let her go for it - tidied some cupboards, finished my ironing, cooked dinner, watched N etc etc. i had a facial on sat that was BLISS!!!!!!!!!

AFM all is well - N has a cold (i think it is just the perpetual winter sniff now), you know all about my weekend now... i am feeling v preg.. and ready for the baby to be here. was in melb for work 2 times last week but have now finished all my work travels - YAY!!! my housekeeper staretd last week and life feels much more under control... N is lovingcreche still, sleeping in big boy bed but still needing a lot of settles... and he is into daddy rejection at night again so it is all down to me... hmm this better not continue when bubba is born, how will i do it for both of them?

Rainy: i agree with PP. the metalicus outlet is pretty good! although if i was driving from the dandenongs i would also want to check out the country road outlet across the road, as well as parenthood a bit further down ;).

PP: ha ha! metalicus was also my big maternity wear!! i LOVE IT! and it bounces back!! although the choice in canberra at the time was fairly paltry i must say.

Oz: have fun at the scan!! and glad to hear that the weather is getting better too!

Ange: oh no! sick toddler aint much fun...hope she gets better soon!

Gypsy: i reckon that as long as you can be cool as a cucumber the better. like Ange mentioned, worrying isnt going to really achieve much. sooo easier said than done though huh?! BUT the positive is that the bleeding is bright. that's gotta be a good sign.

PAP - I'm here, been reading but not posting as much lately. Have started a challenge where I am supposed to aim for 10,000 steps every day so have been going on a lunchtime walk every day with 2 others in the office which is when I used to catch up on BB. Sounds like you had a good weekend.

Gypsy - super congrats to you! I wouldn't worry too much about the bleeding (sounds like you aren't), hopefully it's just bubs settling in for the next 8 months!
