Clare I am sitting here laughing so hard I'm crying that your practice cake is now the real cake!! Way to go!!! BTW great idea about the mini pizzas, we *were* going to do a huge BBQ etc but as the date draws closer have decided to go a mid-afternoon snacky type party instead. Mini Pizzas are perfect as I am inspired pizza-topping-collator and DH makes the perfect dough (I knew I married him for something!)

    Happy birthday little Livvy!!

Arte - did you manage to get the dentist situation sorted out?

Better go, I'm off wabbit, I mean toy, huntin'....

Hi Oz! welcome back! Hope you had good time down in sydney!'

Noni: well i was wondering the same thing re the freezing, but my mate reckons that it's AOK and that in some instances it is even better for flavour...although i am highly suspicious of this factoid lol!
3 loads of washing!!! WTG!! must feel good to do 'normal' again. i remember the first time i walked the dog after DD was born...i felt soooo liberated LOL!

MD: i know i know, i am SHAMELESS lol!

    Hi all
Noni you sound so much happier - that is great. your house must be looking good today!!! is it good having your friend in town? it must be nice to have the company while DH is at work. the pics of A and W are gorgeous!
Clare - sooo organised. i am jealous! hope the gift wrapping goes well... it is sooo exciting.
MD - that is TERRIBLE re the lay bys - did they give you your money back? dont worry i havent bought N anything yet - ummm better get onto that this week.
Ginegr - how is the great pony negotiation going?
i wonder how ange is going in PNG. I cant wait to hear about it.

All is well here. i just took J to be weighed - little whopper is 5.4kg!!! so i def wont worry about his 5 minute feeding!!! just be thankful i often get back into bed within 30 mins at night i guess! he does have a flat spot forming - so i am on mission turn to the left LOL!!! any tips welcome. also MD did you see someone good for Miss E's tortiose neck (i know that isnt what it is called LOL but i forget the technicak term). i think i might take him to see someone jic he has some stiffness etc. MACH nurse will review in 2 wks. The good news is the mean nurse who is usually there on a mon has MOVED! yee haa! i was dreading going but cant on thu as it is movie day so bit the bullet and met a lovely one! YAY! his fontanelle is still small and they need to monitor this - his head is still growing so i dont have to panic but lets just say i wish i didnt google it! aside from that she didnt even notice he had dermatits so i have managed to clear that up... she did say i shoold work on his cradle cap - which is odd as everything else says not to worry about it (he does have a lot i guess). anyway i like to have something to work on so that is it for this week LOL! she then made me feel fab by ooing and aahing over how gorgeous he is and telling me he is enraptured by me as he was watching my every move and smiling and cooing... so that why i LOVE her LOL!

PP, I meant to tell you ages ago that Erin, Paige and Alister all had really small fontanelles that were virtually closed by 9mths. It must have just been one of those things as they never had problems with their skulls not growing right, or being too small etc. With his flat spot you could try sleeping him on the not-flat side during the day. He sounds like he is going great guns.

Pregpan, we did 2 things. First thing was the MACH nurse gave us a referral to see a pediatric physio at TCH and we took her up twice, first time they gave us some exercises and 2nd time they basically said all fixed now. In the meantime I took her to see osteopath Maxwell Fraval in Kambah, he's very good and it fixed her twisty neck (torticollis) and we had a big improvement in the reflux over the same time. You will need to ring ahead tho as he has a very good rep so there is usually a bit of a waiting list, tho he likes to get the babies in asap.

Thanks Trill, I've been out and about seeing what sort of art & crafty things i could use...still haven't decided which way to go yet.

    Happy birthday Olivia!

Preg, things have been delayed. H flying to Adelaide tomorrow to check out a job and we go to PNG on Wed. Thanks for thinking of me. I use Moogoo scalp cream on cradle cap here, seems to work an absolute treat. i highly recommend it. A quick internet search should find it.

MD- That is not right. I hope your letter gets to the right people. How can they do that? If it makes you feel ANY better i have not bought one gift for Lu for her birthday. I don't even know where we'll be. All this party talk is making me feel a bit bad because i have been neglecting the whole thing. better think about doing something. I did think i'd like to get her a timber car garage, you know the ones with a ramp and things. I loved that when i was little.

Went to a meet up in Healsville today, met some lovely BB girls. Spent the arvo making a vegetarian lasagne for a friend who is coming to visit me tomorrow.

    I better go pack something....

MD, definitely get letter writing - mention cancer, chemo and that it was for your baby daughters 2nd birthday as often as you can lol, make the useless buggers feel guilty.
Toothache situation put off until a more convenient time - I accidently bit something hard on that side, it had stopped hurting by morning and I will just have to be more careful not chewing on that side for now.

Leanne, Happy Birthday to Miss O. Sounds like she had a great day. I can't believe how fast this year has gone, I still remember the pic of her sitting with all her presents from her first birthday!!

JaZaH, how is you grandmother going? I love your FB pics, your girls are so beautiful.

Hi to everyone else. Have a bit of a mush brain, so tired. I hate wasting W's naptime sleeping, I don't get anything done.

Looks like not much is happening in the baby department. A few very mild tightenings, decreased movement but nothing exciting. It occured to me today that I might go overdue! I have assumed that it would come a few days before due, I bet I will be still waiting half way through September. 4 of the Sept mums have already popped.

Arte - i didnt feel much this time before i went into labour.. i think i was sure i would go late too... and then WHAMMO he was here! so you never know... (i forgot were you early or late with W?). glad the tooth is ok now... hopefully you wont have to wait long to have something done about it.
Ange - bummer about the delays - though good there are other options too (SA) - so i guess the ball will be in you guys' court. what do you think you prefer?
MD - def get that letter going, i am still in shock about it all.
Leanne - glad livvy had a fab day, it sounds wonderful... hope you got some rest.
    i wonder how cally is?
all good here. had my 6 wk ob appt today (at 8 wks). i am so unimpressed with my ob, wont go into it all here as it will turn into a whinge but i wont be using him again if i happen to be in canb next baby (ie if hell freezes over)... e didnt do anything 'wrong' he just didnt do anything! my check up was all of 4 mins... seriously. and he didnt even have a report of my labour from the ob who attended. unimpressed.
jakey is realltovertired today... i ended up being out and about most of the day and am suffering now.. i didnt meanto be but time slipped away, iforgot about the oba ppt etc. so he was out from 9 to about 3.30.. unusual for him, he needs his sleeps and down time. esp as we then had to go out again aty 5 to get N. hope he sleeps tonight. oh i hear him on the monitor, better get back in there and try to settle him.

I'm here PAP - have been reading but not posting.

We have a very localised little rain storm here which is great. Bit of a shame it isn't an hour to the north where the big fire is. But my garden is appreciating it.

We've ended up bringing K's party forward. MIL is working all of her b'day weekend and SIL is down visiting this weekend so we are having it on Saturday night. Will go round to IL's place which makes life a lot easier too (no housecleaning required!!). Then we will do something special on the day, then the following weekend I am in Canberra and we will do something with my sisters. Then my parents get back in mid October from a big trip and mum is talking about having a little party then!! One lucky little toddler.

Got to kindy yesterday and one of the other little boys (who bit her 3 times in one week many months ago) just came up and gave her a big cuddle, so cute watching them, then they went off and played with the cars together.

We are getting so many words too now. I think we had a sentence yesterday - I want more! (that was the sentence, not me wanting more sentences, although that would be nice too!!)

PAP - glad that you found a nice MACH nurse, any chance of revisting the mother's group situation or are you feeling better about that with the friend you bumped into last week? Our WW party book has a chocolate cake recipe in it.

MD - can't believe they cancelled your layby, that's terrible!

Arte - time is ticking, love your FB status updates!!

Leanne - glad that Livi had a good day, sounds like she did very well in the present department.

Ange - good luck in PNG, hope it all goes well.

Clare - so glad your cake turned out well, I was thinking of making mine on Friday night but I'm tempted to bring that forward and just freeze it. Mum did the cake last year and she froze it and it was fine. Made it easier to ice as well.

Noni - glad that W is feeling better.

Cake smashing - a waste of good cake!!!

    Hello to everyone else!!

Ange I hope your trip goes well, and at the very least you enjoy yourselves! BTW I love that you haven't even bought any prezzies yet, puts my little crisis into proportion. There are more important things in life, ya know?

Anyway I was saved today, I went to this Kmart that seems to sell fewer toys as they often have stuff that other stores do not...anyway - note to self - this means they have these totally random not advertised toy clearance prices. So the ducky little kitchen I coveted yesterday at a different shop was on clearance for $80 less OK so it's twice the price of the other one i had on layby but it's much nicer than nasty plastic and Missy E will go mad with delight when she sees it. So had a very happy mummy moment today.

Anyway speaking of parties(cos I am still obsessed) - everyone tell me, again, what your party plans are??? I'm still stuck between ITNG and Wotwots - I have a couple of random things towards ITNG but either way i'm in for DIY decorations...nearly temped to save myself a decision and just go with option c)...NEITHER LOL. Anyway I need to decide now so I can shop for basic goodies because after next chemo I won't have the steam.

ETA CAlly I have been thinking about you every time I hear about hte fires. Too scary that it's happening this early in the year! Glad your garden got a drink.

Just popping on quickly while I have 5 minutes....

MD - Thats unbelieveable about your lay by being cancelled I am happy however that you got a bargain today at Kmart, hopefully that makes up for it all a bit. As for party plans, we have got a hi 5 invite for Maddie's party & will make a 'jup jup' cake but thats about as far as we are going theme wise. We are all going down to a local park for a play & sausage sizzle.

Happy belated birthday to Hannah & Olivia!!!!

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY LEILA!!!!!

I cant believe our babies are turning two.

MD we are just having a small BBQ, we were going to do a ITNG theme but couldn't be bothered lol.

I still haven't had a chance to catch up on everything so I hope I haven't missed anything important and that everyone is well.

HAPPY BDAY GORGEOUS LEILA!!!!!! Hope you are having a fantabulous day beautiful girl.
It is my nephews 2nd bday today too - sooo exciting (and man time has gone so fast)

MD - maybe ditch the theme LOL?? or go with whatever one is easier to do yourself... she will love whatever you do (this year - i reckon by next yr they will 'demand' what they want more..). YAY for the bargain, what sort of kitchen did you get, i am on the hunt for one for N, and would prefer a non plastic option if possible... i saw a gorgeous one online but it was $450 so thats a no go - how crazy!
MM your bbq sounds fun. i would have liked to do something in a park but the weather here is too unprediactable.
Cally - glad the fires are far ebough away for you.. but how awful they are starting now.
the good news is my ILs are on their way to me now, and are driving down the coast (they have been in qld) and so are delayed... geez i am mean but you have to take the good out of the situation and i am so annoyed at the atm. its a long story what they did but both DH and I are Frustrated (with a capital F).
