I remember my milk coming in and it was so uncomortable I thought they just stayed like that til you stopped feeding!! Lucky it only lasts a couple days. im glad your healing well and feeding is working for you too!

Ashie Its lovely to read about your little lady settling in well. She sounds so sweet.

Woo! This thread will be filling up fast very soon!
Blue I am so sorry your c section didn't go to plan, but I can say I know how it feels as went through it with ds3 then add discovering he had hypospadias ontop it was one quiet theatre room.
I hope your little man is settling in well though.

Peace lol @ their little windy bottoms! Everytime dd lets one go I'm like gosh I hope it isn't bad (she is fully bf too and can be a tad smelly sometimes hehe)

Well dd (Laila) arrived the 6th August, she didn't want out soon as the had forceps on her she took off! My surgeon was amazed she was turning in circles sticking limbs out just refusing to budge! She has an awful mark on her face from forceps but disappeared the next day (they said it would bruise but didn't thankfully)
Was only in hospital for 27 hours they were so busy each time I pressed buzzer it took up too half an hour to be seen and last straw was forgetting the anti inflammertries which left me in pain so being at home I had help and meds so I wasn't in pain. Within those 48 hours of being home dd already was back up to almost birth weight she is a piggy!
Staples out Monday and healing extremely well nurses are amazed how quick I've bounced back I'm able to bend and walking normally wouldn't think I had major surgery.
Dh is just in love with dd he is so happy to have his little girl and she's already taking a shining to him she nods off on him each time he has her I've already taken many of photos specially of them together.
I could go on forever about her, we are just so happy life is very busy now but wouldn't change it we feel so complete.

Lol at windy tummies.... We've been up most of last night as Easton had wind pain so had a night of cluster feeding and patting, rocking, cuddling lol long night... Think I must of eaten something that upset him so avoiding whatever I had yesterday lol

How's it all going peace? How have your inlaws been since Henry's been born? On their best behaviour I hope?

Ashie- love that your on a babymoon so lovely to read I didn't realise how common the spinal not working was until chatting about it with others.... If I go for a third I will be waiting to make sure my legs are completely dead lol!

Does having the staples out hurt? My ob does dissolvable stitches so nothing has to be done, seems to be healing nicely which is good only sore today after all that getting in and out of bed all night :/

Blue this time I had both spinal and a back up epidural with c section as I was having a tubal done too. No pain what so ever! I was bracing myself getting upset waiting for first cut asking when you guys starting and my surgeon goes oh we already have we are just having a cup of tea lol! I was so relieved then! Also didn't take long to get to dd (usually told it takes a while due to scar tissue so assuming their wasn't much as with each c section they take old scar out which I didn't know until the other day) staples don't hurt much being taken out usually they come out quite easy just the odd one that's stubborn. I've had the invisible stitches too as normal stitches and staples once before lol. Only problem they had with both anesethics is made me numb a lot higher than supposed too (he had already adjusted dose as low as possible) just my tinyness too teeny lol. So my chest was numb all muscles were unable to feel so felt like I couldn't breathe or even cough yet it wasn't the case just muscles relaxed.
Dd has been doing the same specially the first few nights home. Last night she was up hourly feeding and had a happy wake period where she playing (just looking around exercising those arms and legs) she is quite content doesn't cry much if she does just picking her up stops the sads then she'll pull hair or dh's goatee lol.

ashie it sounds like your recovery is going perectly! And back up to birth weight after 2 days at home is pretty impressive. How lovely for your DH to be so smitten with her too. Watching the men with the bubs is so beautiful.

Blue dont even get me started on the in laws lol they chucked a hissy fit because i missed a couple of phone calls on our first week home and thats unacceptable apparently. What ever! When I have a minute to myself I'm more concerned about finding time to eat and shower rather than make sure i politely return all phone calls. DP gave them a serve so hopefully they wont carry on like that again.

Im glad its not just my little one thats gassy! They are incredible. Full on loud farts! He has no shame The nurse finally came out to see us today at 3 weeks old! Hes put on 380grams since we left the hospital 2 weeks ago so im happy with that. She gave him a good check over which he hated the poor thing.
Im doing ok. The tenderness is almost totally gone and bleeding is pretty light. Exhausted and frustrated at DP. Hes great with henry but does absolutely nothing else at home. The place is a bit of a mess because I havent had time to do housework. Ive been so hesiant to talk to him about it though because we've been so tired it might just turn into an argument. Not that he should be tired considering he has taken to sleeping on the lounge so he doesnt have to wake up through the night with us. Ive taken it quite personally. I feel a bit gross at the moment and it feels like he doesnt want to sleep next to me. I keep having yucky dreams about him being with someone else while im recovering and getting back to normal It all sounds silly probably but its really playing on my mind. I've never felt more unattractive.
Anyway, I have been pretty open minded about parenting but the one thing i was hell bent against doing was cosleeping!! But alas, henry has slept in bed with me every night lol and its lovely. Do you guys cosleep? Any tips on safe cosleeping? Its just so much easier for us both at the moment with how often hes feeding.

    Hi how's everyone's weekend going?

Feeling tired *yawn Easton seems to get so restless at night with his windy tummy and I keep falling asleep while feeding lol ... Really need to master feeding lying down

Peace- man ur inlaws are hard work for u! Mine can be too but I know they mean the best! I actually found when I had my first I had leverage lol they were so keen to spend time with him that they were on their best behaviour. I think they realised that if they kept Annoying me I'd run the other way! over the years our relationship has definitely improved, so hopefully little Henry will help with that.

I hope things are abit better at home now too

Blue laying in bed feeding is my favourite. I love that when he's all full he lets it fall out of his mouth and then he rests his cheek on it like a pillow lol it's very cute. And I can rest too.

It's been hard here. Dp spent almost the entire weekend off doing other things while I struggled with h. When I finally got his attention on Sunday afternoon I got to speak to him about helping at home more because my mum keeps coming to do it and that's not fair. First he got angry, then he understood and apologised and has done nada at home since. Sigh.

H is ok. A bit clingy to the boob. I cant usually hold him without him just wanting to feed. He's just so cute though I can't get enough of him. He does ok at night time - he usually runs on a 3hr pattern and only wakes in between to sook if he's pooped. He hates a pooey nappy!

How is everyone and new bubs? How are you all recovering? I'm hanging my for 6week check up to come around. It's still stinging to wee and it just doesn't feel right - I'm almost 4 weeks PP! I'm worried I'm not healing properly down there.

    How are we all doing??

I'm doing well, healing nicely except I've gotten the flu/cold and the coughing is really not good for the incision. Dh went back to work yesterday so coping ok at home myself. Can't wait to be well enough to drive and lift again its sending me loopy not doing everything I want to do!
DD is doing extremely well she is now 2980g ten days earlier she was 2780g so gained 200g and up 150g from birth weight. Still only sleeping on two hour periods which has been exhausting but trying too have a quick nap in the arvo once dh is home. She also rolled! Gave her tummy time and twice she rolled onto her back, she also rolls onto her side when on her back (I put her on a blanket on the floor whilst she was asleep and she put herself on her side!) she loves the shower not a peep out of her and she'll bid off soon as you take her out though she'll work herself up she hates getting out lol.
I'm so happy she is here, life feels so complete even the boys have adjusted so easily she just fits in perfectly!

Ok I have a spare few moments....finally.....Lachlan was born Wednesday August 14 at 957pm. That morning I had several large bowel movements and a bloody show, but nothing else. I took the girls to their swimming lessons that morning and started to feel crampy. I then went to the drs at lunch with my eldest and felt that something was starting, even the reception lady was concerned. At 1pm I took my middle daughter to kinder and told them I was going to have a baby very soon. They hurried me to go home lol. By 2 pm I was getting contractions 5-6 minutes apart. Had some trouble contacting dh but when I did he was hone quick. I'd called the hospital and they wanted me in asap because of the breech position. By 3pm they were 2-4 minutes apart. We got to the hospital around 4 and I was 4cm dilated. I laboured til 9pm and was only 6cm. I was a bit upset because the contractions became hard and fast. At 915 my waters broke and thats when things went quick. I was told I had to breath not push for safety reasons with breech. It was so hard but I did it. I remember looking down between my legs seeing these little legs, a body and an arm just hanging there. It was amazing. Not long after he was born. He's so beautiful. He has an operation for a hernia and is on antibiotics for his kidneys. Other than that he's perfect and I successfully birthed a breech baby with no issues.

The only issues I'm having...again...is feeding. He screams every time I try and attach him and if he does get on he has a suck or two and just screams. I have so much milk. This morning I managed to express 200mls each side in 20mins. I have a freezer full of ebm. It bugs me coz I have the supply and they just don't want it. So then I have to boil the jug and wait til the ebm is warmed, all the while he is screaming for a feed. It happens every feed. If I could only get him to latch on.

Ashie how lovely that your family feels complete. It sounds like shes growing beautifully.

mini im so glad you got the birth you wanted. You must be so proud of yourself. I would be! When will he have the op for the hernia? Sorry your having trouble feeding again

On the 23rd of July I went to my regular OB appointment alone for the first time in weeks because DP and mum were both at work. Turned out my BP was at its highest. I was completely unprepared to be told that I was heading over to the hospital to be induced today. I didnt even have my hospital bags.. Anyway, it happened to be a record day for the delivery suite so I had to wait until things slowed down to get moving. The gel was eventually put in that night at around 11pm i think. And i was 1cm dilated and slightly thinned. The midwife offered panadeine forte and sleeping tablets so get through the night but i managed to nod off pretty quickly without them. At 7.30 the next morning, I was 2cm and so the midwife broke my water. From then, contractions started and excalated very quickly. They were coming every 2.5 - 3 minutes and were really painful from the get go. We got walking around the hospital hoping to help me progress, then back to the room where I tried several different positions on the fitball, sat on the loo, hopped in the shower... I got checked at midday and was 3cm and fully effaced. In hindsight, I should have been happy with that. But all i could think was "1cm in 5 hours!". Not impressed. Mum poured a bath and I got in for a while with her showering water over my back. DP and the MW offered the gas which I hated the feeling of and quickly threw back at them. At 1pm I decided I had hit my threshold and asked for an epidural which was administered almost immediately thank god. It took a while for it to kick in and I could still move my legs and feel the tightenings, just no where near as painful. Then my favourite part - I fell asleep. Yep I slept until 5pm. Somewhere in that time, a synto drip was put in as my contractions had slowed. Then I woke up and felt a bit of a bleed and full on pressure and by 6pm I was ready to start pushing. Henry's head wasnt quite in the ideal position, slightly turned so he had a big cap just off to the side of his head. I pushed on my back, on my side, in a sort of sqatted sitting position and after 2 hours he was finally born at 8pm. Mum and DP pulled him up onto my stomach while we waited for the very short cord to stop pulsating. I eventually got impatient and told them to cut it so I could have my little man up for cuddles while the placenta was delivered the OB put in 3 stitches for grazing. Henry stayed on my chest for hours until he tried to have a feed and the MW noticed his breathing wasnt right and off he went to the SCN with DP.

Cant believe it was over 4 weeks ago now! He's a month old tomorrow. I absolutely love my little man but my goodness birth is bloody terrible and its going to take some serious convincing to get me to do it again

Tk havent heard from you in a while? How are you and your little man?

Peace...I'm never doing it again but you'll soon forget, that's how I ended up with 4! That month went quick. Is he sleeping for you?

My little man had his op on Tuesday. All went well. He's still not feeding and its doing my head in. I had a lactation nurse today which was no help. I'm thinking I'll give it a little longer and then swap to formula.
He's not sleeping at night but sleeps all day despite the noise and chaos. I'm so tired. Anyway might hit the sack...I might get some sleep in my bed tonight, but doubt it.

Welcome miloro! Very exciting that we're all here now

Mini does the lc know why he's having trouble feeding? You poor thing. No sleep with 4 littlies must be so draining.
Henry is sleeping for us so far. He has his unsettled nights and days sometimes but generally he's only awake in the night for a bum change, feed and then the glow worms on to go back to sleep. Mind you it puts me to sleep quicker than him. That dim light and soft music is so soothing!

I have massive nipples and all my babies have small mouths. Most of the time they get angry and just scream when I bring my boob anywhere near them. I've not had one successful feed with Mr. L. Its really frustrating. I'm so exhausted from pumping around the clock. So much so that last night I fell asleep feeding him and when I woke up I almost dropped him on the floor. I was so upset with myself that I decided not to pump overnight. I'm trying to only attach to my smaller nipple and if its successful I'll be happy. I'll probably give it another few weeks and then if its not happening he'll be moved onto formula like my girls. Its doing my head in.
