Peace he must be going through his 6 week wonder week. I have the book but you should google wonder weeks about developmental growth spurts over the first year. It's very interesting reading. It doesn't help.you with how you're feeling now but it will give you an understanding about why he's having a stormy period. X

Congrats on your little girl Moi.
Mini I hope you and L are able to stay well.
Peace, how are things for you and Henry?
AFM, Hunter and I have our mums and babies group starting tomorrow. My local coffee shop also started a Playgroup this week so we went along to that, it was nice to meet some mums in our area.

    Thanks Mini & Miloro.

Mini - I hope your family are better soon. Last week DD1 had gastro & one night I was getting up between DD1 vomiting & DD2 feeding.

Miloro - I need to find some other mother's with babies near me. I moved far from my DD1s mother's group. Having other mums around makes a difference.

Thanks...I'm hoping they are on the mend. We did a Dora movie marathon today..didn't leave the house.

Where did you move to moi? Its always nice to have others to talk to.
I'm sitting here contemplating m bf journey once again. Its messing with my head. I wish he would just get it. I'm expressing ridiculous amounts too, but I hate expressing. I've had a few melt downs today. Anyway..he's crying again...

Thinking of you mini your doing a great job in a challenging situation. Trust that your a good mummy and you know whats best for you both x.

Good on you for getting social miloro. I didnt have the confidence to go to a mothers group but wish I did.

Moi nice to see you back. congratulations on the birth of your little girl.

We are ok. Struggling a bit. But I had my younger sister round yesterday helping with vacuuming, washing and so on while henry and I were attached at my breast! He went to dp for a little while when he got home but stared at me the whole time. He's totally boob obsessed. I think your spot on mini. I googled wonder weeks and it makes sense. So im trying to relax and trust it will pass. Dp didn't talk to me for two hours last night because I had a little outburst and said I wanted to throw henry out the ****ing window when he wouldnt stop screaming in the car. Obviously im not going to but I think dp doesnt understand how frustrated im getting by the end of the day.

Hugs peace. I've said and thought the same when desperate but would never dream of doing anything. It's venting your frustrations. I'm glad you found the wonder weeks helpful. I have the book and its spot on. Explains a lot.
My little man is a cling on this evening so that's it from me...oh...he had 2 successful bf from me today, no top up. Yay.

Mini - I moved from the North of Melbourne to the South of Melbourne. :-) So technically I could have still kept going to my mother's group but DD1 hated being in the car and would scream during every drive. It was over an hour away and I couldn't handle being in a car that long with a screaming baby. :-(

Glad the BF worked today. I'm also having issues. Milla keeps pulling off crying and I don't know what's wrong. :-( I'm struggling to feed her now and it's so frustrating. :-(

Peace - Thanks. :-) I also have the wonder weeks book and app and recommend it. I totally understand the frustration!

I'm in springvale south...are you anywhere near me? I've not had any success since yesterday. What's worse...or good.. Is we gave him a bottle of formula and he went 5hrs between feeds. And even worse he has super bad rash on his bum which the girls had but cleared up after changing to formula. Its not working here and I don't know why I'm still hanging on. None of them got it. I'm torn. I know even with dd3 she still didn't get it after 8 weeks. My pump goes back too on Tuesday. I've slowed down on that too. Anyway I'm just thinking out load. Other than that he is doing well. He popped on another 120gms so birth weight was 3333gms and at 4 weeks he's 3850gms. He's gone from 48cms to 53cms and I've just changed him into 000 clothes.

I might buy the book too mini. If I read it at feed times I could probably get through it pretty quickly. Im glad you got a few good feeds in!! Wish I had some awesome advice for you.

Henrys hair is falling out at an incredible rate. Everywhere he puts his head he leaves a whole lot of hair behind. And its come out in uneven patches lol poor kid.

Peace - I found the wonder weeks book at my local library and borrowed it first before buying it. So that's an option if you want to see it before you buy it. There's also an app you can buy but I prefer the book.

Mini - I'm in Cheltenham so that's not far from you I think. Right now I'm questioning BFing too. Milla doesn't seem happy on the breast now and I have no idea why. :-( It's doing my head in. DD1 was never really into BFing either but I made it to 10 months with her. It was a struggle though and when I stopped she didn't miss it at all!

I've not successfully bf any of mine. They never latch on and would cry and scream at theboob. I've not pumped since early hours of the morning and my boobs are full and tender. If I remember rightly it will be a few days til this settles down. I'm sad that this hasn't worked again but my head was going crazy over it. Never mind, I'm retiring my Boobs forever...just like my uterus. Which reminds me, I need to book the man in for the snip.
Also not much bas been said about getting Mr L circumcised. Dh wanted it done only so they could look the same. I told him that it doesn't bother me either way but I am not going to get him done. I already saw my little man after surgery so I'm not doing it again, unnecessarily. Thankfully he's only changed one nappy in all this time and has not commented on it at all.

Moi im sorry your having a hard time feeding.. have you tried an lc to help figure out why?

Mini I hope those boobs settle down quickly for you. We haven't circumcised either. Im dreading just getting his immunizations done! My dp isnt circumcised though so it was never something I had to consider.

We had a good day with H yesterday. He spaced out his feeds a bit more, had some good sleeps and had some nice playtime. Last night he went 4 hrs from start of feed to start of feed for the first time in ages and holy cow my boobs were massive lol
Did I mention I got a very normal period at 6 weeks pp? Has anyone else? Im so disappointed. I thought I wouldn't get it back for a while.

Thanks peace, by last night my boobs were huge and uncomfortable and I went to jump in the shower and my top was soaked. I had to sleep on my back last night, I'm Hopi g things settle soon. I'm feeling better in my mind now I've made a decision and sticking to it. At least my boobs are liked by one person in this family.....

I'm just past 4 weeks pp and my bleeding is just there when I wipe. Its quite light with dd3 I got my first AF 6 months pp but I wasn't on any birth control. It suck coz you never know when it will come. I read that a lady only had 5 days pp bleeding...I've just had 4 weeks darn it. I guess what I'm saying is our bodies are so different there's no set standard. However...that sucks. Glad to hear you had a better time with your little man. There's a saying...the first 6 weeks are hell, the next 6 weeks aren't that much better but after that, things get easier. Its true... But there's light at the end of the tunnel.

I'm off to visit my mum today with the kids by myself. My first big outing other than the shops. Its only half an hour drive but now I need to think of formula and bottles and nappies and spare clothes... Oh joy. Have a good Sunday x

Mini - I had to combine BF & FF with DD1. I'm trying to just do BF with DD2 but might have to use formula too if I can't sort out our BF issues.

Peace - I haven't consulted a LC but I really should. Our council has a LC you can see, so I'll see if I can book in to see her. I'm also just past 4 weeks & still having some light bleeding.

How old are your babies now?

Id be happy to combine both if I didn't have to express ever and he got some feeds out of it. I'll let my Boobs settle and try him in a few weeks. I only just stopped lactating just before I got pg with L.

Who's babies are you asking about? My kids are now 6,4,2 and 4 weeks.

Yeah give it a go moi! I had lots of lc's for the week we spent in hospital and I think thats really helped us get a good attachment happening before going home. Theyre not all fantastic but hopefully you've got a good one. My boy is 7 weeks. Just remembered I need to add you to the list.

I spent the day shopping for a bed rail because im scared henry will just roll over one night and fall. Couldnt find them at big w or target. Ill check out baby bunting and toys r us tomorrow.
