Hi Willow - yes my aunt has been very quiet ! Thanks for replying to my other thread about it. You know what it's like. People always point the finger at the mother. But I think I've let it go now. I was really angry and upset for a few days because it went beyond the normal criticism people generally dose out. But I think I don't just know but feel (IYKWIM) that they're actually her issues and not mine. She has a lot of regrets about how she brought her kids up and now she thinks it's her place to put everyone right.

Yes, we have another cheeky monkey on the way just make life a bit more chaotic I think there's a pretty big range in language development but maybe its worth going and seeing a couple of people like your CHN and GP if you're worried. It never hurts to get these things checked out, does it? Matilda really only says Mama and Dada consistently but I'm not too worried because she does babble a lot and seems to understand 90% of what we're saying. How does DD's comprehension seem?

Hi Beany - that's terrible about the house on your old block! I can't believe the fires came that close in! But on a brighter note that's SO exciting to be planning a big trip to the UK next year. I saw your other thread actually (not that I'm spying) but I'm sure Michael will be fine on the flight. We had friends come home from Sweden recently and their 2.5 year old was apparently a dream. He either slept or played quietly or watched TV. I think by that age they understand so much more that things become easier.

AFUS - We've had our first two nights of sleeping through from 7pm - 6:30am!!!!!! I think dropping that early morning feed did it. After a few mornings of going without I think she thought there wasn't any point getting up anymore. Now I'm terrified of dropping the bedtime feed in case it throws things out. Well I'm going to go and slave over fish pies which probably won't get eaten! She is being so fussy at the moment and just turns her nose up at things for the sake of it. It's enough to drive you mad!
