    Hello Mummies and Bubbies

Welcome Jelly!! Glad you are home now and feeling a little better, my DH is the same about bf'ing and he doesnt understand as much that bf'ing is something we all plan on doing... but honestly whatever works best for you and Eliya is the best thing, if you are already feeling better and DH is helping with feeds good on you guys! Not everything works the same for everyone and you need to do what works best for your little family. Eliya was quite long! Do you feel better and more relaxed at home you think?

Clay was born on his due date too! The chances of that are really slim apparently, but I cheated because was induced :P

Cheezle - I swear I have felt a few kicks too lol! oh and I found my blue book but the hospital took the booklet out that I wanted d'oh! Yes we got a bit of a fussy night on Sunday, no sleep from 2-5 and just a grizzly little boy and DH kept telling me to take his temp so I humoured him and of course it was fine he was just unsettled... fed heaps that night too so I reckon it was the 2 week growth spurt maybe? He is happily playing under his activity mat right now while I am on the laptop, I just fall more and more in love with him siggghhhh ahhhh life is really perfect right now

DH works in the mines as a Fitter, he just discharged from the Army which was good while he was on base but the chances of a deployment with a baby was just not what we wanted so he now works in the mines and he is loving the time home but like everyone doesnt enjoy being away but money makes the world go around. My mum lives 10 minutes away and my sister is also 10 minutes away, I see them both almost daily so I am really lucky to have such a good support network. Still not looking forward to the first swing DH is away, he is a really big help in the mornings while I have a shower and put some washing on and stuff like that.

How is your neck?! Thats a big call saying you would rather labour again!!! that is some extreme pain! A kilo.... go Alex!!!!

Christmas presents.... hmmm this mumma went a bit crazy i think :P We got clay his own Andy and Buzz Lightyear toy story dolls, and then a heap of toys i put on xmas layby in june! stuff he wont be able to use for months but at least now we have them...dont even get me started on what the grandparents have got lol. what have you got for Alex?

Hi Alicia!!! congrats on your little girl, i agree with Cheezle what a sucky thing that they didnt weigh correctly Private facebook group sounds good to me, would be good to put faces to names! How is your bf'ing going now, still going strong?

Ooooo little Scarlett has hair how cute!!! Clay is a little baldy lol

Willever, how are you and your little man going?

AFM - now typing one handed so excuse my bad grammar, play mat got old for Clay half way thru this post! Clay is doing really good, well I think he is.... sleeping really good apart from the one night a few nights ago. Basically we play and try and keep him awake from say 6.30pm to 9.30pm then we go to our room and quietly cuddle and chat and then he will have some boobie then sleep from around 10.30 to 2.30am then up for a change and feed of EBM, then back to sleep from 3am - 6am then another EBM bottle from DH then sleeps from 7.30am to 9.30am for his first boobie of the day so I am pretty chuffed with his sleeping right now, hope he keeps on track and being so good for us... especially once DH goes back to work. BF'ing and EBM is going really good for us atm, I have so much milk I am now freezing some of the EBM, its insane that all of it is coming from me!

Yesterday we spent the day at my mums making gingerbread houses for Christmas, my mum makes big houses and I spend the entire time eating the extra ginger bread lol... I love this time of the year and it was so nice to be at my parents place with Clay and my sister and my niece, it was a really good day, I even made one of the batches of gingerbread woo!

Hi everyone & December's new Mummies and Babies - Congratulations!

Wow what a hectic week - I'm sure Archer has silent reflux . He grimaces and cries out in pain and arches his back then wants boob, only cat naps during the day. At first I thought it was wind but now I'm pretty sure its the reflux. I have been feeding him more upright and sitting him up more and that seems to help. Yay bb's are fully healed now and BF is going really smoothly. We took Archer to the Christmas carols the other night and it was so nice. I got a little emotional watching my little family enjoying the carols.. its such a nice time of year to have a baby!

Danielle- Im hearing you on the pooplosions - Our leather lounge has been christened twice and the change table has had a couple of wee's on it! None on me yet
Wow Alex is going great! Archer has only just reached his birth weight this week. He put on 160g this time, beats the 75g the week before so I'm happy now. As for xmas pressies Archer is getting a playgym mat thing, an activity centre that goes over the car seat for when he is a tad older, some books, a custom cloth nappy and some knick knacks like rattles ect for his little stocking. Its going to be so fun this year especially with his older brothers to help.

Belle- That would be be so nice to get your nails done. Yeah I went to the doctors the other day by myself and felt so weird. Especially when my milk let down in there I was like this is strange. We took Archer with us to a lovely restaurant last weekend and he slept the whole time. Was nice to put some make up on and get out of the house. Your night routine is pretty much the same as ours minus the ebm. And yeah I have had to tip out my 3 ebm bottles as he wouldnt take it in the calma bottle. I might try a tommee tippee one tonight though as I want Archer to be able to take ebm before I go back to uni in Feb. Omg I cant wait to feel fit again either. I walked to the post box the other day and came home and had a cramp in my calf! I also had to run (well if thats what you can call it) to the kitchen when the pot was over boiling and I felt like an elephant! I only have 2 kilos to lose then Ill be at my pre birth weight.. an extra 5 wouldnt hurt though.

Williever - Sorry to hear you had a traumatic birth! After all those months of being pregnant and imagining what the big event is going to be like it can be upsetting if things didn't go to plan ect. Dominic was a big boy!!

Alicia- Scarlett is a beautiful name! I can understand being upset not knowing her actual birth weight. It would sort of be like a bit of the puzzle was missing somehow?? I too felt awesome after my second! This time hell no, I could hardly walk for like a week and the afterpains were worse then labour! Facebook would be a great idea! Im all in.

Jelly - I too had issues with Breastfeeding especially with my first! I put him on formula at about 2 weeks old and seriously it took such a load off! I ended up with Mastitis and like you was expressing mad.. Its not worth being stressed out and exhausted over you sound like you've done whats best for you and your baby! Which formula are you using? I used Karicare with my other boys and never had an issue with it. How has your baby been with the changeover to formula? I remember both my boys got constipated and I made prune juice to give to them ( just the juice from simmering prunes in water) a few of my friends used brown sugar water as well. We put so much pressure on ourselves to 'successfully' breastfeed its ridiculous!

Im so unorganised with Christmas! Im yet to even get the laybys off and hopefully will get the boys Santa photos done this arvo!
Wish these milk dots would go away, Archer face looks like a 13 yo boys face at the moment.
