we are feeding him with s 26 gold because that's what end were being given fir him in hospital, he has taken ti it well because he was doing 50/50 from birth, finding it annoying how people look down on you when they find out your baby is formula fed there doesn't seem to be much support out there, slowly getting used to the idea of nit being able to breastfeed but it still makes me sad but has been nice taking it in shifts with dh, feeling alot better emotionally now and stitches not as sore and I think my boobs are finally giving up
Filled in all the rego forms and what not... who's idea is it to give a new sleep deprived parent this many firms to fill out

Went to clinic today birth weight was 3.1 kg , lost 200 g by day 3 now is 3.2 kg so has put on 300 g in less than a week!

Sorry to crash your thread guys!!! Just sneaking in to tell Jellybean that I had problems with s26 with constipation. I have heard of lots of other cases of it too. Just thought I would mention it because you had another thread about constipation. I ended up using caricare gold. That was almost 10 years ago, mind you, but if constipation is an ongoing issue, it might be worth changing to another brand!
    Good luck x

    Hi ladies,
I hope you are all well. How rubbish is the weather. It's making walks very difficult!!
Dominic is doing well. He is now 4.8 kg so has made up his weight and more! He is heavy and I keep wondering how I carried him! My knees and back are still sore.
Dominic sleeps well. He falls asleep on the bottle so feeding can take a while. He also does not enjoy being winded. So he fights that.
He is gorgeous and will no doubt be completly spoiled by his parents. I just love holding him. DH is a very happy dad.
We are searching for a new used car. So walked around car lots today. I love walking around parks with my bub. I dreamt about it for so long so it's great! We get a coffee and have a walk whenever it's not raining.
Today we both had the whooping cough injection so I feel better about that. Trying to pay bills and organise paper work is taking ages. I just don't have the energy for it! We havent registered him yet. Maybe after Christmas!
Sorry for no persies. I will get on the laptop soon.
Have a great week mummies xx

Thanks nothing2loose I have heard that too but apparently the gold one doesn't, I was used tu having a dirty nappy every feed with ebm but when we changed to full formula it went to one a day which is apparently normal but he is having at least 2 a day now so not worried just learning, anyone git any bottle recommendations? So far pigeon is working best and tomee tipee breast shape worst because of the way he feeds.

Hmmm...must have been the week for it, Alex had a couple of unsettled nights too, last night was much better though thankfully with just one wake up!

As for pressies, I went to the Mattel factory the night before my waters broke so Alex is getting lots of Fisher Price stuff, plus books and a ring stacker toy.

Just wanted to say a big Merry Christmas to all of you lovely ladies Hope you all have a fantastic day tomorrow with our bub's very first Christmas. Hope the older kiddies have a great one too!

    Hi Everyone

Cant believe Christmas is already over and it's almost 2012! Clay has just drifted off to sleep in his swing, wouldnt let me leave him in his bassinette just thru his arms and legs about until I picked him up and now he is so peaceful in his rocker, I think he has a bit of wind so he wants to sit up a bit. But this means I can sit on my laptop and reply!! Yay

Jelly - You are so brave going to boxing day sales, how was Eliya at the shops? Did you feel like you had heaps of stuff to take out now? How is the formula going, did you end up finding a bottle that works for you? We are using the tommee tippee bottles, and Clay will only take the tommee tippee newborn dummies he hates the rest so far.

Cheezle - How are you and Alex going? Just one wake up in the night is awesome!!!

Williever - What size is Dominic wearing? We did Clays birth cert at home and just posted it off, it arrived in 2 days!! All the paperwork is crazy, I think they should give us more time to do it with newborn babies a sleep deprived person should not be doing such intense forms. I had a panic cos I thought I had spelt Clays full name wrong, and then DH was worried I had forgot one of his names lol All was good tho luckily. Did you find a car? Reading you comment about loving walkin around with Dominic made me smile, I am the same

Amanda - Your christmas morning sounds exactly like mine, my inlaws started eating without me and I got a cold christmas lunch ... Clay got a very long feed tho, lucky he was my best christmas present and I really didnt mind being alone with him for an hour or two, so many people wanted to see him and hold him I was jealous haha I wanted to hold my baby! I had a cider too hahaha just one tho, have you tried the new one out called Rekorderlig? It's strawberry and lime flavour and oh so good.

Clay slept so well last night, I feel so refreshed but so tired from the past couple of days, feel like we havent been at home at all... then DH leaves on Thursday which I am really not looking forward too. I plan on walking at least once a day with Clay in his pram and trying to focus on loosing my baby weight and then some more if I can, have lost 10kg so far but that was in the first week pretty much... now I have 8kg to lose before pre-baby weight, I can do it!! Breast feeding is going really well and expressing at night still, DH does the 6am feed for me which gives me a little break. DH flies out at 6am on Thursday morning which means we have to be up at 4am to leave for the airport.... DH doesnt understand why I think he should catch a taxi or accept a lift from a friend, he thinks Clay will be fine in the car.... yeah on the way there maybe but the way back he will cry for his next feed and its an hour drive with a newborn and a very tired mumma.... what would you ladies do?

Clay was super spoilt for Christmas, I think he has every fisher price toy ever made.... we are clearing out one of our spare rooms to make into his toy room! haha

    Happy New Year ladies!!

Mrs cpt: formula is going well still crying sometimes though wishing I could have breastfed but alas my milk has dried up but he is a bit blocked up so will try nan gold after this tin is finished or something else gonna get a bunch of samples. Were using the pigeon bottles I find the breast shape tomee tipee bottles are too boob shaped and with his original problem being not opening his mouth big enough he sucks in alot of air.
Goodness knows how much weight I need to loose date I look bad enough I feel damaged with all the stretch marks and jelly belly I'm sporting.
I'm same at christmas everyone wanted to hold him and I had to keep telling myself I get to hold him at home all the time lol
I hear you on the paperwork I would be surprised if my babys cert didn't cone back saying conan the barbarian with fred and wilma as guardians given the amount if drugs I was on lol
As for dh I'd try get some mates to drop him off lol blokes can be a bit thick sometimes

Hi mummas & bubs. I too have just found the new thread.
I gave birth to my gorgeous little man on 14th Dec, 7:39am. He is our third beautiful addition . He was a beautiful healthy weight 4620gm (10lb 3oz) & 60cm long. I was blessed to have a beautiful spontaneous labour & birth. My older two are just in love with him and I have two massive helpers and little boy is being doted on. He is feeding like an absolute champ and weighed in today at 4840gm - my boy loves his tucker, LOL!!! His sleeping is hit and miss. Some sleeps in his bassinette, some in our arms and some in the car. Poor little man has been dragged from pillar to post. We'll start to get him sorted out in the next few days - we've been a really busy with the older two and them testing the boundaries and coming down off their christmas/new brother high.
I'll be back later to catch up properly and do some personals. Right now I had better get some washing done - my least favourite housework chore!!
