Hello!!! Long time no see... i'm terrible at this game! lol

I hope everyone's doing well, and a big HELLO to the girls that weren't in our belly buddies thread!

We're good, P will be 7 weeks old tomorrow. He's sleeping really well, averages about 6 hours straight a night but has done 8 hours without a feed the last couple of nights, hopefully he keeps it up! I put him down awake and he puts himself to sleep, something DD never did, I used to spend hours rocking her! BFing is getting better, he has days where he likes to chew me though and it kills! He had 2 days of cluster feeding this week so i'm assuming he was trying to get my supply up for a growth spurt. All in all he's a very easy, placid baby... so far

I knew this would bleeping happen, P has just woken up... back later.....

Good to hear updates from everyone!

It is so stinking hot over here and is apparently going to stay like that for another week, but right now I don't care because we're going to the beach tonight to meet some friends from church (a young couples get-together) - can't wait to get some of that sea-breeze!

Mum came over this morning and entertained David so I could pack some boxes, then she stayed to help me do some more while he napped - so much more motivating to pack with someone else, rather than on my own. I'm trying to do a couple of boxes at least each day that I'm mainly at home just so it's not such a hectic week before we move - 2 weeks to go!!

Hi all,

I'm around, lol!! DH has been working alot the past few days so it is hard for me to post, though I do read most of what is going on!
I must say, I am jealous of all of you who have sleepy babes. The most I get out of Caelan is 4 hours, if I am REEEEAAAALLY lucky! And often that is one of his day sleeps He has been better the past two nights, I have gotten about 7ish hours sleep all up, though broken, it's 100tims better than the 4ish hours I was getting. He is feeding like a champ still, 2-3hourly. And seems to be vomitting less and less grizzly. Though I have to be careful what I eat. I had a small bit of chocolate last night and at 4am this morning, I knew about it. He was farting and grunting and groaning and squirming...he was asleep, but I wasn't! So essentially I have been awake since 4am, and even though I was in bed, it sucks!! Although I did go to bed at 9 so it's not as bad as it sounds. Plus I might get a nap in later cause DH doesn't go to work til 3pm.

My big kids have been angels the past few days, thankgoodness!! And even though DH is working, he's been so helpful with the house work. He will fill and ampty the dishwasher (one of my most hated chores!!) or put on and take off a load of washing. These two things MUST be doen each day without fail or else we have no clothes or dishes! And if I don't get a chance, usually it doesn't get done, but I think DH is seeing how tired I am and how clingy Caelan has been.

Ok gotta go there is some commotion in the loungeroom....

FO3 I know how you feel, I cant put PK down when he is sleeping, thank god he is ok at night, but as we co-sleep I think its only because I am in bed too... In the day if I want him to have a good sleep then it has to be in my arms as if I put him down even in the rocker he will wake up within minutes... and then will only last a few minutes until he starts grizzling and wants to be held again...

Thank you all I am doing fine, i just get a little why me every now and then, i mean we TTc for 16mth for PK I thought we were in this together, I had not ever thought I would have to do this all on my own... But this is my life and I am getting on with it, life is pretty good, I love PK so much, and I am enjoying every moment with him while I can, as I will have to look into doing a course soon so I can find work, as the spp just doesnt cut it

PK gave me 7 hrs last night... I feel almost human again... I felt so good I have been scrubing the house, the winkies rooms actully look like bedrooms again, I set up PK's cot in DS's room, ( not that he will be using it for a while yet, I am not ready to kick him out of my bed yet ) I even mowed the lawn, feels nice to have a clean house again, It bloody better stay this way!

I even got to go out without ANY winkies last night, my darling big brother was nice enough to offer to look after them ALL so I could go cluck over my sisters new baby boy... it was a bit weird not to have him ( I think this was why PK slepted so well last night because he was awake from 6 until 9.30 ) My brother even cleaned up the back deck... what a sweetheart...

Hello girls!
Thanks for all the empathy over MIL situation. They are off back to Scotland tomorrow and I kinda have mixed emotions. They've bugged me no end but they are good people and I get sad that they won't see their grandaughter more often.
We had Katherine's naming ceremony today and it was beautiful! Mum brought over my old christening dress and she wore that for the ceremony and then changed into a dress from Scotland for the rest of the morning. She was good as gold, didn't cry during the ceremony at all and only grizzled a bit later. Big day for her though, she went down to bed at 1 after everyone had left, was due a feed at 2 but has missed it and is still sleeping! Must have needed it poor little dab!
We're still struggling a little with the reflux. She has a lot of trouble with her throat and mouth as she developed thrush from all the acid and her throat is red raw, we have a friend who is a GP and she looked her over today and says she seems to be on the mend but the throat will take a fair while to completely heal so not to panic if she's still grizzly, doesn't mean that the zantec isn't working. I feel so bad when she cries, it's hard to look at such a small baby and know she's in pain and you can't help.

Crumpet- Happy to hear DH has come around on the idea of number 2. We've decided that as soon as the pill has controlled the bleeding I'll come off it and we'll start trying, we'll try 6 months naturally before going back to the FS. It would be awesome if we could fall naturally!

glad to hear the IL's are heading home so u can settle into a normal life again!
glad katherines ceremony was beautiful, sounds like it tired her out though!

yeah im rapt he has agreed to it, it wont be happening anytime soon im just not mentally ready to do another pregnancy just yet!

Hi guys, Back from camping! It was amazing and a lot of fun, yes hard work but worth it to see the kids play in the surf! Molly was mostly good too which made it easier! We think we will try going once a month or so! Grace is beside me at the moment holding Molly getting the best cuddles....so lovely to see the sisters so in love!

DH had to go straight back to work, whicc left me with all the unpacking and washing AHHHH and on top of it all someone wanted to come and look at the car. Hope someone buys it soon, sick of showing people.

Gotta run, Mollys cracked it and the kidlets need to get to bed. Talk more tomorrow lovely ladies!

Hi everybody!

So very busy at the moment, I don't know where the time goes. Josh is just absolutely gorgeous, he's all smiles these days and is amazed by everything he sees. He's already a talkative little monkey, he has to be to get a word in with his brothers. He has just started reaching up to hit at his toys when he's lying under a playgym thingy or in his bouncer and gets the biggest smile when he connects and sends them swinging. Such a cutie. Can you tell I'm totally in love? God I'd love a fourth!!!!

Hope you're all well. Gotta run and do bedtime for DS1 (who is behaving today after a few days of misbehaving!)

god life is busy but with what i dont really know!

seems like im always running here and there, and what not, DH rekons im making up for lost time after being on bed rest for so long! he's probably right!

Summah is changing sooooo much!!
she is so much more smiley and reactive now! has started babbling at us when we speak to her, she watches everything that moves, loves the dogs when they are around, her head control on her tummy is so much better as well!
we are down to 4 bottles a day, and sleeping through every night generally goes to bed at 830 and up at 8 in the morning so gotta love that!

we started mothers group yesterday and i really enjoyed it, was a bit iffy about it but it was fun. few weirdo's but nothing i couldnt handle! tegam has tought me how to deal with them!

summah enjoyed having different people talking to her which was good, seems she is going to be a social animal!

i dont think there is much else to report at this stage!
will try to get on more often, somehow!

We didn't have such a good night last night. DS2 didn't go to sleep until 11pm! What kind of a bedtime is that for a two year old? Josh was up not long after, so I didn't really get to bed until after 1am. Then Josh was up at 6am for a feed. Oh well, I guess I had two years of no sleep, I can get use to little-sleep nights!

I've started putting Josh into his cot for day sleeps.... wait for it... on his tummy! I know you're not supposed to, but DS2 was sleeping on his belly from this age because it's the only way he'd sleep longer than 45 mins. Josh is better overnight, but during the day he won't sleep unless he's in arms or on his belly, so after weeks of being in arms, time for a change. We have a motion/breathing monitor so I don't stress about SIDS, although I think I would overnight. He can also roll over on his own from front to back so that helps ease my mind too. Yesterday was the first time I tried it he slept for 3.5hrs in the afternoon. He's been asleep now for an hour already which is brilliant! I just hope the deeper sleeping during the day doesn't upset his night sleeps.

What else... ummm... I'm still anemic. Got the blood results back and unfortunately it didn't go away with the birth of the iron-leecher I told DH that it was good that I now had an excuse for being so lazy and tired all the time even though I'm getting more sleep I was also unpleasantly surprised to get the bill for the thin-prep (extra pap smeary test) today and it is $50! It was only $35 two years ago! I know it's not much, but that's a HUGE increase!

Okay, I should go and make the most of having two bubs asleep and do some very exciting clothes folding. Looking forward to netball tonight - I just hope my uterus stays put! Tomorrow we're going in to visit work. I hope they remember me... I've only worked 9 months out of the past four years - and the wonderful people keep on paying me!

i really hope we can keep it up, there is a few of the girls that i could see myself getting to know, a couple of others im a bit meh about but we still have a while to go with the leeder so who knows!

hun if it works then who cares! you have the monitor for that extra piece of mind which is always a plus. summah has slept on her tummy a few times but only coz she happened to doze off that way.

Tegam - hope you enjoy the pt - it will be worth it! I'm down to my pre-preg weight just by David sucking everything out of me, but still need lots more toning to fit into all my clothes again - so, swimming it is. Not hard to do in this weather anyway!

Just had needles for David today - not the most fun experience - he was very sleepy when we got home and went straight down for a sleep, but has just woken after 15 mins all cranky - have the panadol and thermometer on stand-by (can you pick the first-time mum?).

We had the power out after a big storm for 20 hours from Mon arvo to yesterday lunch - fortunately DH picked up a generator from his parents so we didn't lose our fridge & freezer stuff, but we had no air-con or fans and had a terrible night's sleep (David included) - yucky weather here lately, but the end is in sight - the weekend should be a nice cool 30 degrees and down to 18 at night - can't wait! Haven't been able to wrap David for bed for a couple of weeks and it really helps him stay asleep for longer.
