hi all just a quick hello im doing ok. had the kids godfather and son come visit from broadmeddows lastnight left this afternoon enoch and faith are both spending the night with their dad and charity has got a friend over for her 1st ever sleepover her friend who is 4 has never been away from her dad but is doing very well she just camed to me and said she misses her dad who is a single parent so ive asked if she wanted to call him she said no and went back to the bedroom and has ended up in bed with charity hopfully they will go to sleep soon

Jasp, yey for Arlea and her rolling! Ash seems to have very little interest in rolling these days. He went from back to front a couple of times a few weeks back, but now doesn't even try. Mind you he seems to love being on his tummy now (how things change, he hated it for months LOL) so I guess he doesn't see the point. He has started trying to commando crawl though. He doesn't get very far, but is definately putting in a lot of effort, so maybe he will skip the rolling all together...
Ryatha hope calling the ABA helped...
Any improvement with the naps Sarah? Ash is also all over the place, some days he doesn't sleep for any more than 30 mins at a time, then other days he'll have a long 2 hour one as well...
How's the cradle cap going Leckert? Have the steroids made any improvement?
Bekz, glad to hear you survived the week. Have you made the move to the big cot yet? We changed Ash over a week ago and he loves being able to spread out and spin around, he was getting pretty squashed in his bassinet. We've also changed our pram over to the seat, I still have him laying back, but now at least he can see out and he is loving it!
AFM I think my AF is coming back. I'm on the mini pill and have had the odd bit of spotting, but the last couple of days it's been pretty consistent. Still not back to a proper period, but I suspect it might be coming. Ash is sleeping through about half the time so it doesn't really suprise me though... Has anyone else had it come back yet?
I'm taking Ash for his 4 month checkup on Friday and can't wait to see how much he has grown. He seems huge these days so it will be interesting to see. Then we're doing his 4 month needles next week, I'm really not looking forward to it because he was a bit unwell for awhile after the last lot. Oh well hopefully he'll do better this time around...
I caught up with my boss last week and have started doing a little bit of work, mostly from home or only for meetings where I can bring Ash into the office with me. So far, so good, it's nice to use my brain for something other than parenting and also nice to know that work still values me. Anyway, we'll see how it pans out over the next few weeks, but at this stage it looks like it could work quite well.
Anyway, better get a move on, I'm expecting Ash to wake up any minute (but who knows, his sleeps are all over the place) and need to start getting dinner organised. Hope everyone else is doing well x

Okay, was on the net then off again, long story but finally we are back on and hopefully it will stay that way! Things have been majorly hectic for us, after moving 3 weeks ago I have now come down with a cold and hoping not to pass it on to Sam, our dog broke his leg and we are having to go back and forth to the vet and need to watch him almost 24/7, and I have been working 2 days a week and just feel quite consumed by everything! Life is chaotic and I have no idea how any of you cope with more than one child!! Anyway, Sam has his favourite toys now and is starting to laugh more and follows people all around the room, its amazing over the last few weeks how much he has woken up to the world. Enough ranting about me..
Cate and Storm - sorry to hear that things aren't so good. It must be really hard when you are having to do everything all by yourself and don't have a break. I know after settling Sam all day when it comes to the evening sleep you just want to give him to someone else to just have a rest and you feel bad because husband has been at work all day himself. For us though, we run the business together so we are both hectic with work so we know that it isn't going to work unless we both tow the line as we are both under huge amounts of stress with running our business and juggling life as well. I really hope things improve and you can talk and sort things out.
Jasp - yay for the rolling over! Sam is the same as Ash it seems as in he was interested last week but this week hasn't shown much interest. He also is only really interested twisting when on his back but not on his tummy.
Our naps are all over the place as well, sometimes 1 hour, sometimes 40 minutes, sometimes 2 1/2 hours!! We are having trouble as he wakes normally somewhere around 2.30 - 3.30pm and he won't sleep again until he goes down at aroun 6.30pm. By that stage he is so overtired it is hard to put him down, tonight he was awake from 2.30pm and I tried putting him down twice but he just wouldn't do it, got himself so worked up. I gave him a bath at around 5.30pm which he loves so I think that wore him out.
Miss excited - I haven't experienced any spotting yet or anything like that but Sam has been sleeping through again for around 2 weeks from 10pm to 6am so perhaps I should be warned it may happen as well!! I know how you feel about work, I am back working 2 days a week with mother in law looking after Sam. It is great having a bit of stimulation but I do miss him! Bit annoyed as she asked me if I was rocking him and I said just to get him tired then I put him down and for some reason she has been putting him straight in and giving him his dummy for a few minutes. I really don't want him to have his dummy to have to go to sleep so I think I might have to say something, other than that she is really good with him.
Anyway, I will stop babbling on, but I will now be back online so hopefully won't write an essay!! Is anyone still wrapping?? We are as I don't think Sam is ready to give that up yet..

Blake's dermatitis (aka cradle cap) seems to be clearing up - just a bit on his face and sides left at the moment. It seemed to start clearing up right from the start. Got the cream Wed last week and CC noticed an improvement on the Thursday after one application ... best go he's waking up again ... having issues trying to poop tonight.

It's been so quiet here lately, I hope everyone is well.
We had our 4 month Check-up yesterday, everything is good.
The doctor said that Isaac probably is teething because of the symptoms lately and he also thought he could feel a tooth coming through - just. Hopefully it comes through soon and he goes back to being my happy little man. How long does it usually take for a tooth to come through once it's started to cut through the gum?
Aside from his teeth he had all his measurements done - lenght = 60 cms, head circ = 40 cms, and weight 6.8kgs What a chubba.
We had to go get some more clothes for him the other day too, He's growing so fast! He's now in target size 0. It's hard work,not to mention expensive,keeping up with his growing.
He's also starting to tolerate tummy time for a bit longer too now. Some days. lol. Hopefully soon he'll start trying to roll over. I think that might be something to do with his grumpiness as well.

Just wanted to pop in quickly and share a milestone with you all - Ash rolled from his back to his stomach this morning He was so proud of himself and loves being on his tummy now. He's done it twice again this afternoon, but still hasn't tried to roll back the other way... guess he's forgotten how...
Heva - I think we all know how you feel re not having the time! Don't know about the teething, sorry, hopefully it doesn't take too long to pop thru.

storm - it's difficult, isn't it? it just seems so cliched too. I dunno. I fully appreciate that DH brings home the money, and that he has a hard, stressful job, and that what I do might seem like a bit of walk in the park sometimes, but... And I do NOT want to go down the same path that so many other new parents seem to go down, including some we know personally. harrumph!
AFM - Zac has done a couple of awesome night-time sleeps (I'm terrified that I've jinxed it now), but daytime naps are a real struggle. He gets tired and grizzly, but settling him is difficult more often than not. Today we've had one good sleep, plus one which involved 5-10 mins of yelling before he finally nodded off, and then he woke up crying too. Just waiting to see now if he will self settle into this nap, but it's not sounding promising... I'm a little worried as one ear seems to be a bit more waxy than usual and he has rubbed it a couple of times, although he doesn't seem otherwise worried about it. The little girl next door had an ear infection recently...
hmm. might take him to the Dr tomorrow just in case. Although the in-laws arrive tomorrow too!
