Hi ladies, it's been a while. Hope your all well. The advice you get as a first time mum is overwhelming, so I decided to just wing it by myself instead.
DD is healthy and beautiful. She will self settle now, grizzles for a bit. Cries a lot, most of the day it seems. Been to the GP and there is nothing wrong with her, she just likes to cry I guess. She has dropped her night feeds which is great, but unfortunately she is still waking 3-6 times a night. We suspect it may be the dummy. So I am still ridiculously sleep deprived, I can't function most days and my brain is fried from it, but I guess I'll get used to it. I am also using the green panadol ring and she is dribbling all over the place.
Might not be on for a while so take care xx
Take care xx
hey tasha! nice to hear from you.
i don't blame you for being sleep deprived... waking 3-6 times a night would devastate me. our little guy has started to spit out his dummy which makes settling during the day a bit difficult. he has just woken now actually, after a 10 minute nap.. that i had to re-settle him 3 times for... better go, just wanted to say hi & pop in again soon. xx
Nice to hear from you, Tasha If you feel things aren't right with the amount or frequency of crying then do get a second opinion - trust your Mummy instincts! Winging it by yourself is fine!! No one has your DD, so only you and her know best, just keep doing whatever works for you both. Sucks you are so sleep deprived, I really hope things improve.
In the process of moving Emily's cot into my bedroom, got as far as sorting the piles of outgrown clothes that had accumulated in there over the past few months.. then lost interest! I need to take it apart to get it down the hallway, so might make DH do that since I put it together the first time, ha! Now that the weather is warming up, I moved her change mat and nappies etc into the change table in her bedroom - we'd previously been changing her with the mat on the kitchen table because we'd usually have the fire going out here so it was warmer for her.
She was 4 months old yesterday! Time is going so quick Must ring and book her next lot of needles
