i think boys will take over weve had 7 babies so far (all singletons too!) and its 2 girls and 5 boys!
weve had a bit of wind lately but ive become a chocoholic so that could be it
(but he just doesnt fuss, he just stays awake and prefers to be held or feed too easy)
You're all good making it out shopping and living a normal life, I've gone into hermit mode but that was my plan, I just want to chill and simplify everything else so I can figure this new little person out and make sure bfing is well established so I don't mess up like I did with my son. It's not easy having smaller babies with tiny tummies and minute digestive tracts.
Lilac projectile vomited today and scared me. She's been so quiet today after a really rough day/ night yesterday.
Do you know what I just realised? Not only was I first to "go" in the July 1-15 group, but I'm first in the June 16-30 group! Amazing!

Hi girls. Sorry I've been AWOL just been busy.
Dh and I took the boys to the city today on the train which was nice. Also have ds1's 2nd birthday party on Saturday. Really looking forward to that.
Hamish has been going really well. He is back up over his birth weight which is good. Was a bit worried about my milk supply but it all seems good. Breastfeeding is working out without as much drama as I had with Noah. Really happy about that :)
I'm so glad that everything is going pretty well with everyone else.

My beautiful daughter was born by c-section yesterday at 6:25pm ... Not what I had had in mind, but at the end of the day she is happy and healthy. I was so expecting her to be a he that I still haven't named her- hoping to have something picked by tomorrow. She weighed 5pound7oz - and so none of the clothing we had prepared was big enough! On my phone at the moment, but look forward to catching up with what has been happening once we are home and settled
K i had to get out of my house, i spent too much time couped up here while pregnant
its amazing how much easier BF feels with your 2nd/3rd (or 4th)

BF tahtah 13months (wouldve been longer but got pregnant) but was expressing twice a day then once a day and it was a draaaaaaaaaaaag
but with Hudson after i expressed once (i thought i had a blocked duct) i havent needed too :D

K- I haven't ventured out of the house yet. No plans to leave until Sunday. I just don't feel the need. I'm happy sitting home, enjoying my newborn snuggles. The real world can just wait til next week!
Mot- that's great your not having to express. Expressing for the odd bottle never bothered me with Thomas but if I'd had to do it full time I would have given up pretty quick I think! I haven't even opened my brand spanking new breastpump this time. Was thinking this evening I might have to, just to ease the rock hard boobs I'm currently sporting, but Flick's just had a good long feed so I'm good again. For a little while anyway!

Hi Tara, when is your ds1's actual birthday? My sons birthday is the 7th July. Were having a little birthday celebration on the weekend as well.
Felicity's cord stump just fell off. Well the bulk of it anyway. Happy bout that. The hospital put such I big clamp thing on it and it rubbed on her belly constantly. Plus it was a pain to clean around.
Ouch, I've been sneezing a ton today- not fun for the stictches!
oh sneezing hurts, I think I have a bruised tailbone from the birth and sneezing is not fun.

K, you've made me realise - Annabelle was due 4th June, and most of you were due early July. No wonder she's so much bigger, she's been growing for a whole extra month!
We've only been doing small trips so far. I was really emotional when I got home from hospital - DH was doing everything, and then offered to go get Subway for dinner. I felt so bad that I wasn't doing anything and just wanted it to go back to normal. So we loaded up Annabelle in the car and all went together (luckily our Subway has a drive-through!). It's just helped to try and have things as normal as possible for me. Plus we need to get bubs used to car trips, we have to go three hours away on July 30 for SIL's engagement party. That should be interesting!
Hooray for no more stitches MoT! I can't imagine how much more uncomfortable that would make things. I found that even without tears or stitches, going from lying down to sitting up felt strange, a weird pressure.
Lani, I had to laugh at the cord comment. We were so happy when Annabelle's came off - DH was really unimpressed that they'd left so much on there lol. At least they took the clamp off before we left hospital, but yeah there was still quite a bit of cord there!

Is anyone else getting professional pics done of bubs? I wasn't going too, but now I've seen some and really really want to! I'm gonna have a go at doing some nice ones myself today if she cooperates, and we have a pixifoto voucher so will call them for a sitting. I can just imagine her pooping or weeing through it though, or not sleeping or something. Would be interesting I reckon!
Also got her 2 week check up today. Not entirely sure what excactly that involves but hoping it goes ok!

weve didnt do newborn shots with the older 2 but cause i had a rough pregnancy and it was my last we did matenity photos so we will be doing newborn ones to follow
2 week check usually is weight, length and head, full body check, feeding and making sure you mummy are feeling good :D (my daughter used to always pee during the newborn checks so have fun with miss belley lol)
we are down to one wake-up feed a night so starting to get 7-8hrs sleep still broken but better then 6hrs (i need 10 to feel normal but i wont complain)
Far out MoT, Hudson is a champion sleeper! We were up every 3 hours last night, but she took am hour to feed each time so only got 2 hours sleep in between each one. She's barely slept all day, a few minutes here and there. I'm exhausted :(
Belley's booked in for photos on July 16th, so she'll be one month exactly. Can't wait :) Haven't bothered trying my own today, too tired lol.
Our appointment is in an hour, and yeah I bet she'll poop or wee - she did both times the community midwife came out, so why not?

our worst night was when he wanted to feed for 2hrs but then slept n woke once for a feed as normal
DH took him car part shopping and wouldve looked so funny, big guy holding a little bubba buying car parts lol but bubs was perfect for daddy
Kt- I used to be a professional photographer. But so is my best friend so I plan on letting her do our pics. I'm just too tired and the stitches are too ouch for me to bother. Plus I want to be in some photos. Flick is 6 days old and we haven't even taken a family photo yet!
Mot- Hudson is such a good boy. Wish I was getting that much sleep. But I'm making do with a few hours at night and a nap during the day. Heaven help me when my dh goes back to work tho.

Nah no professional photos for me. Can't be bothered. Too busy enjoying watching tv and drinking tea while lilac sleeps to pack nappy bags and leave the house. I wasn't able to relax in the months leading up to her birth due to renovations and then worrying about losing her, so I want to relax and do nothing!
Jude had a colossal 3-hour sleep (after I insisted firmly he get back to his routine) so I caught up with my tivo. Bliss! But I need a baby monitor, any suggestions?
the poo machine has slowed down production, but I've been on edge waiting for it to resume. I really hope it was a passing phase.
I'm still utterly confused by her noises and don't know when she is asleep or awake, so I'm sleeping like crap and the hallucinating has got so bad I thought I was feeding her lying down on my Ikea chair that doesn't Recline. I got up and started feeling around trying to put it upright before I realised I had been in bed and then I was so disorientated I couldn't get back into bed. Holy cow I'm a mess at night.

K we have a fisher price monitor and its fantastic has 2 receivers and 1 base, our base sits outside their doors and it picks up noise beautifully i know their usually under $70 at target and often come on sale.
i really hope she starts sleeping longer for you soon, i remember that zombie feeling with jhett
is it possible for DH to take her one night and bring her in for feeds, that way your not listening to her noises?? sorry i dont have any better suggestions xoxo
im so thankful my mum has a few weeks off starting next week cause its going to be a huge change with DH working day shift
Hi ladies.
Anyone else's child go through a non stop eating phase around the 2 week mark? Ds2 has fed every 2.5hrs today which is not like him. He normally feeds every 3-4hrs. Guessing that it's probably a growth spurt but not looking forward to being up that much tonight :(
Hudson feeds alot more during the day sometimes almost non-stop for 2hrs
but just got sprayed again by let down LOL its only my right boob that does it bad enough for bubs to take his mouth off so we both get covered
i could stick an alarm clock under his butt, he wakes up about this time everynight for a feed when im ment to be making dinner lol
his covered in a face rash but DH had him today so im wondering if its irratated not milk
K- we have an angelcare breathing monitor in flicks bassinet. We don't use the sound part of it cos our house is small but I highly recommend it. They're a few hundred new but inpicked up ours second hand on eBay for under $100 from memory
