Ugh, that would drive me mental too. It's the equivalent of family members asking if there's going to be any more kids. One of my aunties made a FB comment to me asking me if I'd hurry up and have another. The she started on SIL. SIL's been trying for another for over two years (and is having fertility treatments) and you know my history. Just because we don't broadcast what's going on with every inch of our lives doesn't mean that things are rosy all the time.
Now look what you made me do, Mo.....vent of my own!!!
I think if you have 3 PMSing teens, Phil might be absent! You might be lucky and have it all go smoothly. Got my fingers crossed already for you
-
Haha Mo, can't keep me away for very long :) I just had to get my assignment finished and it's almost done, I am an awesome procrastinator! Only 1 more assignment to go after this one and 1 exam then I'll be finished my first semester. I love that pic of Bambi, how did you get her to stay in that pose? The thought of more than 1 teenage girl in the house scares my DF, I reckon it's half of the reason why he wants a boy.
Don't you wish you could tell your family to bugger off? You're both adults capable of making your own decisions and taking care of your own birth control!
Same to your auntie PRMG! And especially to do it on facebook! That really annoys me. I changed my facebook settings recently so that only I can see what people have written on my wall, at least I think that's how it works, haven't really tested it out yet. I'm too lazy to do a cull of my friends list so set up a list of people who I want to see more private stuff like my scan pic, etc.
-
 It's soooo annoying & not to mention rude.
It's even more annoying when people bring up the obvious like "you can't have a 4th because they wouldn't fit in your car" Well duh!!!!
Or "you'll need a bigger house" As if we don't already know that.
Man people can be so stupid!!!!
Pak i'll need all the fxing i can get, if my girls are anything like me, then i feel very sorry me lol
FW i just checked your FB & yep can't see anything but the photo's you post :D
Yay for being almost dine with your first semester.
That pose is actually 2 pictures put together as 1. So it gives off the illusion of her holding herself up. Took ages to get the shots, every-time we took one pic she would wake up & then we have to try again.
It was so worth it tho, it turned beautifully :D

Ahhh, makes sense now. I was trying to figure out how her hands were holding up her head defying gravity in the process.
We're heading to Brisbane this weekend for a wedding. Not looking forward to a 3 hr drive and 1 1/2 hour flight, hopefully DD is well behaved. We're going to take her to southbank to go on the ferris wheel thing again. She still talks about it all the time even though it was 6 months ago that she went on it for the first time. Might do the museum again too, I wore the shirt that I wore there 6 months ago the other day, hadn't worn it since then - DD says to me, "mummy, that's the shirt you wore to the triceratops" :) she has such a good memory, better than mine especially at the moment
-
FW - My DH just did the same for his settings. I just deleted the comments from FB that she wrote and then sent her a PM outlining what was going on. She's thankfully left it alone since. Good luck with your exam!
Mo - my mum reckons I wasn't bad as a teen, wasn't bad with PMS etc. So fingers crossed DD will be the same. I get a bit snaky now, but not so much moody, just get over the lack of help I get around the house, and it usually coincides with AF's arrival. But meh, I figure a kick up DH's bum every now and then to pull his finger out isn't going to hurt him. I do everything around here, so he should help!
-
I wasn't bad with the PMSing but according to my mum i was always a Itch with a capital B lol
When i look back i wasn't a dream teenager, but i made up for it when she got sick :D

That picture is absolutely adorable Mo! Interesting to hear how it was done, turned out brilliant!
Good to hear from people, been a bit quiet in here! I'm not really fitting in much with my belly buddies, I don't think I'm intentionally being left out or anything and they are all nice people but just don't feel comfortable posting in there so haven't been. Guessing the baby will be early anyway so might just hijack into the December bubs when the time comes and see if I mesh better there or just bore you all with my updates!
27 weeks yesterday, doing my GTT this week! Also had a blood test last week and everything is perfect, so why am I so tired? My Ob is even more comforting than I remember, he was disappointed I hadn't brought Imogen (hadn't seen him yet this pregnancy as he was on holidays so was seeing one of his colleagues) in so he could see her again (hasn't since she was a newborn) and was encouraging me to bring her next time by explaining their large array of toys and promising to keep the official stuff short, feel really comfortable with him and feeling super happy with my decision to go back there, even if going Private is so expensive... definitely my last baby and the familiarity is helping my anxiety a lot so figure that is worth a lot.
DD is going well, we have her next speech appointment next week where she gets her official assesment. I'm nervous but pretty ready to hear the words, I'm convinced it is speech dyspraxia already considering her Dad's history and the symptoms. Whatever it is or isn't I'm looking forward to starting the next part of the journey where we can help overcome it. She is saying more words but very few are complete, it is something though.
Me and DP and family life is going perfectly to be honest, part of me is still a little aprehensive and waiting to wake up from the dream but I guess maybe things are really for real now and he had his dramatic wake up call. Been living here 2 months, not sure how long it will take before I can completely relax... maybe Christmas. Thinking of that weekend (and the four days of silence) can still reduce me to tears instantly... I felt so humiliated, I still do a little (as well as heartbroken, alone, stupid, insulted, abandoned, confused etc etc haha) and it has been hard to resolve all of it in my mind... even though part of me does understand too, it was handled horribly.
Facebook aaaah. DP's parents added me, I'm pretty closed on mine (under 50 friends) and didn't really want to accept but felt obligated too. They still have no apologized or acknowledge in anyway how they treated me. I have no respect for them. They insist on liking or commenting on everything I post or write though, it feels very fake.
My parents are overseas and I really miss them, only a bit over a week to go.
FW - awesome to hear you're almost done with your first semester! We are at Southbank almost every weekend lately, they have this water area for toddlers that is brilliant, DD loves it and it has been so hot recently. Most of the museum is closed off at the moment, they are preparing for renovations and closing down for a couple of months soon so there wasn't a lot to see when we walked through a few weeks back, DD loves the big turtles though!
-
Yay my new avi is uploaded :D
JF i'm glad your guys are doing well now & of course your still upset. It was really unfair of them to treat you like that
If it does make you feel any better, about 2yrs before we had Maddi, Phil did the same kinda thing. I had to call my mum to come get me at 10pm because he decided that he just didn't want to be with me. Completely out of the blue, we didn't speak for about a week.
Took awhile for me to forgive & forget but we got there & if anything it made us stronger & 6yrs later we have 3 girls & are happily married.
Hang in there & let yourself be upset don't let it build up.
More

Thanks Mo, it does help hearing that you've come out the other side of something similar although I'm sorry you had to go through the same sort of emotions, not fun! We talk about it when it is on my mind, sometimes we joke about it, sometimes we cry together... I can tell he does feel horrible over it, I'm confident it isn't something I need to worry about happening again but you know, bit of a blow to the self-esteem I guess.

Been awhile since anyone has posted so thought i'd give us a bump.
Not much happening here, Bambi is doing really well & getting so big.
She is already more alert & smiling. I can't believe she is almost 5wks old already :O
Maddi & Kodi are doing well, both girls have been sick but are getting better.
Hope everyone is well :D

DD slept in her own bed last night.....all night! She didn't wake up once :happydance:
That's my excitement for the day
We went camping last weekend, she loved it. We went to Lake Eildon and we got her a fishing rod. Took the rod apart and gave her the base and she copied her daddy and pretended she was fishing (well...he was seriously fishing but anyway!). She just strode into the water and laughed her head off. Her confidence in water has soared so time for some swimming lessons.
Hope everyone is well.

Hi Girls! It's been a little while :) I've been pretty busy with life in general, DD, uni and I also started up a facebook business page to make a little bit of money a couple of days ago.
Brisbane was great, the highlights were the plane trip, Ahmets turkish restaurant - DD was absolutely fascinated by the belly dancer and hardly ate anything and also the ferris wheel.
JF - I'm glad that things are going well with you. Sounds like you are pretty comfortable with your ob. There are about 4-5 different midwives at the birth centre I'm going through and the idea is that you meet them via your appts throughout pregnancy so that by the time you go into labour you've met them all. I have 3 appts I think and I definitely have favourites so far.
Mo - How are the girls adjusting to having a little sister?
PRMG - Yay for sleeping in her own bed! DD is still in with us, we have to get an airconditioner for her room because it is too hot and the sun hits all of the bedrooms in the arvo turning our bedrooms into steam boxes.
-
How is everyone going?
I've finished uni for the semester finally and am about to start making DD a christmas dress for her to wear to a party this weekend and then to all the other christmas events coming up. I can't believe it is almost christmas already! DD is getting a play-doh creativity kit, some duplo, a medical kit and a few other little things, plus all the presents from family and friends.
We're staying home for christmas and will probably have a family lunch at my parents place, should be nice and relaxing apart from the heat.
-
Sounds like a nice and relaxing Christmas, FW. We're going to my mum's which is only 15 minutes away. Lazy day really. Boxing day we spend with my dad.
DD is teething at the moment, but at least she can tell me now what's going on. She's still got two molars coming that have cracked through, but are taking their time coming out fully. Last night she was crying and said her mouth was sore. I asked if she wanted some panadol and she said "No, panadol goes in the toilet." Dunno where she got that one from! She's been talking up her greetings, her favourite being "Have a good day!" She makes us laugh.

Thought i'd pop in here & say Hi...
I don't come on BB as much anymore & now Oct 07 & 11 groups both have groups on FB i come on here even less.
How is everyone doing?
Bambi is sick with a cough & we of to the Drs just to make sure it's a cold & nothing else.
Kodi & Maddi are both sick as well but are getting better.
Kodi is growing up so much lately, she is talking heaps clearer acting more & more like Maddi each day...
Maddi is doing well she starts 4yr old Kinder next year, i can't believe this time next year i'll be getting her school uniform etc.. ready :0
Where does the time go????
Bambi is getting so big, she is such a happy content little girl i can't complain at all, She gives you the biggest smiles now & coos away when you talk to her.
I just love it.
-
I don't get on here much anymore either, I mainly post in my belly buddies thread these days.
We are well, I think I can officially say that DD is toilet trained now. It is a learning experience for me too with a bit of trial and error. She hated training pants even though they were cloth ones she treated them like nappies so we went straight to undies. We're still working on getting her to use the toilet but she is happy to use the potty and will go by herself, she just won't put her clothes back on!
I remember my sister would take her clothes off all the time when she was little and go through 3-4 sets of clothes a day, DD won't even attempt to take her own shirt off without me there to help her. I'm trying to encourage a bit of independence without being too pushy.
It's crazy how fast they grow up isn't it Mo. Even looking at pics of Bambi, she doesn't have that newborn look anymore.
Saw the pic of your DD's room on FB PRMG - At least the darn spider is dead!
-
Well done on the TT FW! We're getting no closer. I'm so frustrated and running out of ideas. She thinks that going to the toilet is wrong. Going to the potty is wrong. She gets upset when she has a dirty or wet nappy. If she's in undies, she'll usually have one accident, and then hang on for the rest of the day, until bedtime, when she knows she's going back into a nappy. We went camping with my family, and she didn't poo for four days. She won't go if other people are around. By the third day, she was sobbing, but nothing we did would encourage her to go. When my family left, we got three dirty nappies, one after the other. I actually showed her into the toilet after I had been  and she kept saying "Oh mummy. Oh dear. Oh no." I kept saying, "Mummy is a good girl. Mummy went in the toilet." She always comes in with me, she's seen her cousin go, but she thinks it's the wrong thing to do.
Mo - Hope the girls are all better and it was nothing serious. Bambi is so cute.
