Oh no brissie girls - I won't be able to make it on the 20 June for the meet up as Luke has his daycare fotos from 10:30-11:30 n Monday isn't his day there so will have to take him n wait around etc
I can't really speak on behalf of everyone else but we may be able to change the date. I think we were only doing that day because Jaki was going to be here but sadly she isn't going to be now. I just can't do tuesdays and this is the last month that I can make it to a brissy meet up.

Guess what Chloe rolled over tummy to back today!! Now she can do it though she won't stay on her belly, every time she does it she does a huge grin hehe. It is so amazing to me how typical bubs just do stuff, it took til ella was about 8 months or so to be taught how to lay on her tummy and lift her head up.
Brissie girls Friday's are best for me, but could try make any day work for you girls
Kylz how was the drive? Has j used the jumparoo yet? I won one on eBay for $60 brand new, very excited to try it but don't know if she's ready.

Ellasmummy: Lol. Zo is 9 and still my little girl.... Just don't have to wipe her bum! Lmao. Carnation, I think I heard that one. : )

Sarah: Lmao about the lamb! I hear you about eating too much. Mind you, you have three little ones! Bumbo, we have but just like Jak... K is just not ready. I put him in for 3 minutes or so then switch it up with the jumparoo. But just build up my time. I think it is a fabulous idea though.. we shall see how we go. Oh and I got the table with it. : )

Kitty: Lmao about the bumbo. You might find that one day he will be like Oh, I like this thing.. : ) Yep, starting the rice and then doing the purees when he is 4 months or so. Still need to read up on baby led solids though! How is Chase going? Because he was early ect? Are you finding that he is on target with things ect. He looks like he is doing really good. : )

WMM: Lmao about room for anything!! I hear you! I am going to get a walker at some stage.. will wait and once he is out of the swing, will sell that and switch it up. I am trying to do the whole one thing in... one thing out. Good in theory!!

It is hard enough being a mum with all the pros and cons and do's and dont's without being judged and ridiculed by others for doing what they believe is the right choice for them.
So right!! Thanks Ferrals. : )

Btw Ferrals, just went to my first moms group yesterday and out of 8 of us.. 6 started rice cereal from 2-3 months. Like one of the moms said " No baby is expected to be the same so why would they all start at an exact time? I think it is wrong how the whole fear factor is instilled into people to make them believe they are doing something wrong... They even feed rice cereal to some newborn or bubs with medical challenges.. so not sure how that would work if they could not handle it. " Yaaaa to a happy baby, it is like K is more happier and his tummy full. Happy mom + Happy bubs= Happy Tams. : ) Lmao, I have been told about the whole bf thing being not recommended. Seriously, they have gone so back and forth. Lmao. I just could not imagine. Thanks for your point of view. xx

Iona: I have not been in over a week and PT starts up next Friday. My ass will be whipped! All good though. Good on you with the weight loss!! Wow your wedding is coming up so quick! You must be so excited or are you at the stage where you just want the day here already? I so remember that! xx

Kylz: I hope your having a ball. The weather is crap here atm and the heater is going. Hope J is traveling well. xx

Hope: I can change the date, just let us know what suits. I am out for Wed and Fridays though... Oh maybe the last Friday of June would be fine. : 0

Sorry, wrote all this walked away and heaps of updates so YAAAAA to EM!! I love these little milestones. : )

Jak: Yaaa to Wyatt and big sleeps! : ) With tummy time, K hated it too but we would just start out two minutes here and now we are up to 15 minutes without him cracking it!!

Afm: I am on a mission to organize so should go. I have now joined three moms groups so mission of alienating alienation is done! Hope you guys are all having a wonderful weekend. xx

Must be the weather Ella slept through aswell 8pm til 6am and i only put her dummy back in once.

The jumperroo we got Ella is the precious planets kalah sands or something like that it has jungle animals on it and she is so tiny in it her feet are no where near the floor my poor little short ar#e her dad is 5 ft 8inc and i am 5ft 3inc so she will have no hope in the hight dept.

Ellasmummy- Ella is such a baby baby she sleeps all the time and hasnt even attempted to roll she does all the other things putting hands in her mouth reaching for toys on her mobile but loves her bouncer i dont want her to do milestones early like my 1st son i want my bubby for as long as possible.

TAMS-yeh everyone i speak to started their babies around the 3mth mark i think a lot of ladies listen to their mums advice before all the bigwigs who keep changing their minds i would rather go off experienced mothers then so called know it all professionals who change their minds every other year with a new you beaut idea that doesnt work out.
Ella only has 1 teaspoon after her evening bottle to help with her regurgatation and it has worked great i dont have to give her Zantac of a night anymore she is keeping her milk down so the way i see it i would rather natural rice cereal over chemical drugs anyday and when she is a bit older i bet my bottom dollar that i can stop the morning Zantac when she is having farex for breakky also.
So i am glad i listened to my insticts and my doctor because the reflux is almost non existant now.
And i was talking to my SIL (the one i dont really like) her son had shocking projectile reflux and was hospitalised and needed surgery to correct it and you know what the peadiatric gastroenterologist told her to put her 4 week old son on farex in his bottles and change the teat now a gastroenterologist deals with digestive issues so he was more than happy to recomend that to help her baby and it helped until he had the surgery to fix it permanently.

And the BF thing not being recomended was in my nans days she had my dad and was made to stay in bed with her chest taped down with plasta to stop her milk coming in and my dad was fed every 4 hours by the nurse with carnation milk and then powdered cows milk and my dad is really smart with a high IQ so it didnt effect him any.
All i can say is time changes everything fads come and go and i dont think anyone will every agree on anything i mean look at all these babies having corrective procedures on their miss shapen skulls from back sleeping only so if that is so good why are all the kids getting freaky looking heads.

Sleeping back or side or tummy with no pillow or pillow is another example
SIDS will always be a risk no matter what and no matter what you do doesnt mean it wont happen my old neighbour will tell you that her daughter died from SIDS in her bouncer in the middle of the day and my aunty lost her 18 month old to SIDS during day nap.
I always read recomendations and listen to my relatives and experienced mothers and made my own choices that is all we can do and if it works then great if it dosnt then we try something else.
You look back on past years and wonder how did any of us survive when i was born they didnt have to use car seats i came home in a bassinette on the back seat and we never wore seat belts before they came down hard with the laws i cringe to think of what could have happened.

Anyway enough of all that we are all great mums who just adore their babies and want the best for them and that is all that matters.

And i just wanted to say OMG!!!! MY SON IS 18 TODAY my gorgeous boy my 1st born survived to be 18 and fabulous i love you baby boy!

TBH I really dont care what anyone else does with their bubs - each to their own, what I would hate to see is bubs not being healthy and happy. So if your happy with YOUR decisions and they are BEST for YOUR baby then Im cool with that.

I was just offering what the professional advice is at the time (as was Mel & Sammie) but if you choose to do different then thats also cool. If you are happy with your decission then I dont see why you feel you need to justify it all the time??

Also I wouldnt say that they WHO (World Health Orginisation) is a big wig know it all... but again each to their own.

Im just dropping in to say that I really hope that you and all your bubs do well and enjoy life - Im stepping out of this thread as I just dont feel like Im getting any benefit from it at the moment - I thank you all for your love and support while pregnant and over the birth of Hamish. Ill still be around on BB and on face book.

I'm not justifing myself at all i dont have a problem with what i do i was just shareing my experiences from the last 18 years and from what my grandmother and mother have shared with me and when people want to remind me of all the do's and dont's in the media i feel i have the right to air my views aswell and as you said i don't give a rats razoo at what others do with their kids as long as they are not neglected and abused then each to their own but i also dont like things rubbed in my face because of something they read on the internet or heard on tv or even the world health organisation as they are the main one to change there minds all the time one minute something is safe then the next it causes cancer so i take thier advice with a grain of salt DON'T BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU READ and i was mearly expressing what i do and have done for the last 18 years and that is has worked for me and have every right to if you dont agree then dont read my post's then you wont feel the need to comment.

not much happenig here, mark is off to the afl tonite as i decided to stay home with the kids as it's way tooo cold and luke has just gotten over the cold and i have the start of tonsilitis so have been pumping the penicillian and am thinking that jack may have a bit of a sore throat as well as he is dribbling a bit etc...will see how he goes, but hopefully the penicillian is going to him as well thru the bb's

Iona-another benefit of BF you can treat 2 for 1 but seriously i hope bub doesnt get it.

AFM-i forgot to mention Ella had an oral plastic surgeons appointment on thursday to have a look at that fluid filled cyst under her tongue well you wouldnt believe it on the wed my girlfriend came arounfd to visit and i was telling her about it and picked ella up to show her but when i looked in her mouth i couldnt find it so i got hubby to look he held her down while i opened her mouth and you could see a little strip of skin where it use to be but it was totally empty all the fluid had drained out so i rang our doctor and he said looks like it has resolved which is exactly what DH did when he was a baby and he had the same thing i cant believe it i saw it there on monday and then ella was making funny clicking noises with her tongue on tuesday thats when it must have burst or deflated what ever but it's gone so she wont need surgery now thank god.

ferrals - that is great news especially for ella...it reminded me of when my lil kitty got desexed and they said that she had a cyst like thing under her tongue and if we wanted to get it tested etc while she was under...i went nope, and it has never been spoken of again (i know I am very strange comparing it to my kittykat lol)

Ferals, that is awsome that it resolved on its own! she must of not wanted to put you threw the stress of surgery. and a big Happy birthday to your ds! wow, 18, im freaking about my ds2 turning 4 in a week!

Allyssa had her first shower today with daddy, wasnt sure what to think at first, in the end she didnt want to get out! our Bfing days are definatly over bye bye 6 month mark, we made it halfway. i ate a boot load of those cookies and the raw dogh, gave her nothing but boob yesterday, and had to give her a bottle befor bed as she was so hungry
i have a "contraceptive counceling" appointment next monday, kind of freaking big time about it as my doc put on the referal that she strongly recomends tubal litigation, i know right now i dont want anymore kids, but whats to say in 7 years i still wont? i dont know, never been good at making dessisions.

check this out how cute is she!
