Sounds like a tough spell Shell - vent away if it helps!

After a bit of a more restful week (first one in ages) Ive been a great housewife today - vaccumed, mopped, few loads of washing, played fed and changed my adorable baby .. now about to walk the dog and prepare dinner. If only all weeks were like this one... it sure helps having a visit from the inlaws to help my sanity - MIL cleans and washes everything when she is here so it gives me a few days of rest afterwards.

Saw Eclipse yesterday - Ciaran slept the whole time! What a great boy... i swear he sleeps more now during the day than when he was 6wks old. Wierd eh! Are there any other Twilight fans out there ladies??

Jandals - you deserve a new pram surely Dont feel guilty at all!

LJ - hope your time with DH was nice this week?

QB - I sadly have no need for a mini pill since we havent done the wild thing since that first time at 6wks... DH must be going insane but we both just dont seem to get there - not that i am missing it; to busy adoring my baby and giving DH lotsa big hugs to bother. Is that normal with a new baby? and how do you find time for it when there is more than one kid in the house? ARGGHHHH.

Welcome to Sally! Better late than never

Cass - Hope Robert is going ok, being post needles this week.

LJ & Shell - I'm convinced it has to do with hormones, and tiredness of course. I'm so sick of my hair falling out, it's everywhere. When I wash my hair my hands end up furry lol.

Bree- regarding DTD we are lucky that our kids are pretty good at going to bed at 7.30pm and sleep all night, in their own beds. So that makes it easier, but I must say child birth has made a big difference, my libido has changed for the worse (well tiredness plays a big part) and the pelvic floor ain't what it used to be. I hope that isn't TMI.

We have had some major stuff going on with DH's sister and BIL, nothing like a crisis to make you forget your woes. Luckily DH and I are good in a crisis, I think it has to do with both of us being the eldest, we're used to looking after people. I'm pooped though, very draining.

Spent Friday night at the in-laws (haven't seen them much due to Tobi's reflux) Tobi was showing off to Nanny with BIG smiles and giggles and lots of chattering. They loved it and I think it was a good distraction with all that is going on. Though she went off a bit about his reflux, don't think she realised how bad it is, she wanted me to weigh him every week but the peads said not to because you can start obsessing (which I would). She was a nurse so she thinks she knows better. I realise that she was probably projecting her fustration with SIL on me, so water off a ducks back. We see the MCHN in a week so that will be enough, and we'll take it from there.

Hope you are having a great weekend.
    QB

    PS - Welcome Sally

Shell - With my DS, I actually found the 4-6mth period the worse for my feeling terrible (although did have PND). It is a beautiful age for the bubs - but I found shocking time for me and hormones (as QB suggested). Maybe it is that you get to your limits of sleep dep, being stuck in the monotonous cycle of being a mother (which we on the other hand love like nothing else and would never change - but doesn't mean it isn't difficult). Hope this week is a bit better for you. I have found the shocking weather a downer too - can't get out!!! Adds to the frustration...hopefully we have some sun this week!

Bree - What a brilliant MIL you have - can I borrow her??????

QB - I haven't weighed Soph for about 8 weeks - but I can see that she is happy and healthy and growing - so you weigh when suits you, I reckon????

Soph rolled from tummy to back twice yesterday for the first time!!! Yay Soph!!!! She is too cute!!

    Hi everyone,
It's been too long. So much has been happening lately.
First Lenny is going great. He weighs just over 7kg. My DS1 didn't hit 7kg at about 6months!
Wow for all the bubs who are rolling over and learning new things.
I have had Lenny in his rocker most of the time as I have just been so sick. I have gotten sick once every 2 weeks or so of late so I am just a little over it all. Docs though I could have glandular fever but going to get some bloods done.
I think I just have a bad immune system atm

I also LOVE twilight. I finally went and say Eclipse the other night. Wasn't feeling the best but I made it there. It was soooo much better than New Moon. Better director and acting. Horrible wig on Bella's head, it kept changing colour and lenght. Pretty funny!

Also My SIL had her baby yesterday morning. He was 5 weeks early but he is doing great! So tiny. His head is probably as big as a tennis ball. So perfect though. I got all clucky again!
So we had a flying visit down to Tweed hospital to see him. I could only look at him from a far as I didn't want to get too close as I have not been feeling well.

We have needles this week also. Lenny did great last time so fingers crossed this time will be too.

Hope your going great mummies and bubbies. Sorry for the flying visit but hopefully I can get back and catch up on everyone better soon.

Wow I havent been able to post in ages. Been too tired by the time I get on the computer and just have a quick read through.

Miss K is sad with me atm cause she had her 4mth immunisations today. I cant believe on Thursday she will be 4mths old. She is groweing soo much and becoming such a chatterbox. She is a happy baby most of the time, but the other day she was really unsettled and had a slight low-level temp.

I am dealing with cronic, constant pain through out my body but keep pushing through cause I dont know any better or any different.

Looking forward to next saturday- Miss S is having her 12th bday party and we are having a BBQ for DF and I in the evening. DF is 8th July, Miss S is 15th July and I am 17th July- poor Miss K is the odd one out.

Last Monday I took Miss S and Miss K and a friend to the park. Miss K had her first trip down a slipperly dip with mummy and a turn on a swing. She loved it.

Ha Ha - Yeah it was a bad wig eh Dee - I dont recall noticing that from the first two movies at all...

Glad some of the bubs are rolling both ways - still no sign of us going back to tummy yet but all in good time!

Lisa Fire - whats the constant pain, that sounds horrible?

LJ - sure borrow away.. Im happy to share! She also came up to baby sit today for my second class, and bought spinach and ricotta lasagna for dinner.. so i got a night off! yay!

QB - thanks for sharing, not its not TMI. I suspected I wasnt the only one with a non existent libido - prob doesnt help that im happy spending with my little boy most of the time, but at least DH and I still have a good relationship; for that im very thankful.

I have Congenital Hip Dysplaysia in right hip, ligament damage in right knee, recurring tendonitis in both shoulders and just a lot of general aches in pains through out my body, mainly in my joints. Some days I feel like I cant even get out of bed but I force myself to cause I have to look after Miss K and Miss S when we have her and DF works shift work so its hard. I have always had to just push past cause of having to care for my mum so I tend to not let those around me know that I am in pain. Sometimes it gets me down, but there aint anything I can do about- panadol dont touch the side of it and the meds that do I either cant take cause of BFing or am allergic to.

That sucks, I know when you are in pain it is so tiring and it lowers your tolerance threshold. BIG HUG

shell- I totally sympathise, BIG HUG to you too.

Gosh, loads to catch up on! We have been in Albany for my FILs wedding - so totally over the whole thing. They are both in their 70s and well, really!!! (Gosh, I'm a such a B) I was just not in the mood to go down there: finances are tight, we had to hire a car (because our car is only a 5 seater and now there are 6 of us when we have DHs 2 with us!!) plus we had to pay for acommodation; Robert was sick and; well, I'm just a bit of a cow lately!! Turned out that Robert was sicker than I had thought - when we left I put it down to teething as his nose was runny and he was just miserable - he has croup. He's on redipred for the next 3 days and the doctor said he should be better soon. He has a wicked cough which sounds like a dog throwing up.

While we were down there I had to go shopping with DSD. She's started her period - her first time. How the "F" does a mother not notice these things? Was pretty obvious when I was doing the washing. I also bought her her first bra. Okay admittedly she's an 8A but still that's a bit bigger than the chesty bonds (boy type) singlets that her mother's been buying her. I'm just so mad about it. The poor girls is growing up and doesn't have a clue about what to do. Her hygeine is not crash hot. I had to show her how to put the pad onto her knickers and told her if she has any cramps or any feellings of being uncomfortable to let me know. I even had to wash her hair properly for her. She had a serious case of dandruff - to the point that she scratched her head and it was bleeding. I was livid. I told DH that its just not bloody good enough. She doesn't even send the kids to our place with their own toiletries. She regulates when we can see the kids so it's hard.

    Any advice?

Breesa/QB, with regards to DTD well we don't seem to be having a problem with it. Sometimes I admit that I'm way too tired to even consider it but DH can generally convince me to get into the swing of things IYKWIM (he-he-he!!!).

Cass - I would do just what you are doing - arm DSD with all the knowledge, skills and things that she needs for when she is away from you, so as she can learn to care for herself when absent from you. Also - keep the doors of communication open...sounds like you are doing a great job!!

    hey all,
    I've been quiet here lately,
I apologise but I can't do personals either, the pages only load up once every 4ish times I try. so its really hard to read back over but I get the general gist

Daniel is growing fast. We are heading into about 5 weeks of 2-3 hourly feeds day and night. When he was sleeping through the night I tried to tell myself not to get used to it but I secretly hoped it would stick.
He's also started biting OUCH. Not sure what to do about that.

Hair is still falling out left right and centre.
As far as contraception I got an IUD a couple of weeks ago....OUCH! Theres been a lot of ouches in my life lately. But I am with you guys that hormonal contraception does nasty things to my state of mind. And its very hard to get around to DTD here too between sleep deprivation and having a small person chomping on my nipples every couple of hours. Hopefully soon we'll have some more time and desire. We have started trying to go on regular date nights though, I think thats really important. Its a time of such huge change

I am finally getting back to the gym, sometimes. Its so hard to get there and invariably I get home to a squawking baby and have to get straight into feeding, but I think its worth it. Hoping to run City to Surf in Perth and City to Bay Adelaide (going there for uni at the right time) That should motivate me to get back into it.

Hope everyone is ok, lovely to read about others at the same stage

    Hi all,

sorry haven't posted in ages, have been reading though. Just wanted to say a quick hello and that Lacie and I are still here and doing fine. I really feel like everything has started to come together lately. Lacie has moved into her own room as she was sleeping through the night so well and was getting almost too long for her basinette so I didn't want to wait any longer. She has adjusted to the change fine, you wouldn't even know anything was different! She sleeps generally from about 10.30pm through till 5.30am at which point she might resettle with her dummy, otherwise she comes into our bed. Love the early morning baby snuggles. When I start back at work I"ll be getting up at 5am anyway so I'm not going to try and change her wake time.

I have managed to make dinner 4 times in the last week which is just fantastic, and have finally started to get on top of the housework. Have to admit a guilty secret though - I've hired a cleaning lady to do the vacuuming and bathrooms. She comes for an hour a week and I figure its worth the money just to feel less stressed about the house. At least I know the house wont look too trashed when people pop in, and it means I only have to do the general tidying, clothes washing and keep the kitchen clean!

I feel a bit stressy about making phone calls and things still, and about timing my outings around Lacies bottle times. I worry about her crying if I make phone calls or if I get stuck somewhere that doens't have a microwave or anywhere to sit and feed her. Silly, I know.

I go back to work in a couple of weeks. I'm looking forward to it in some ways but also dreading it. I'm so terrified about leaving Lacie in daycare. Her cousin, who is about 6 months older, has just started daycare and on her second day an 18 month old bit her on the foot while she was sitting in a highchair. It drew blood and her foot is really bruised up. I know stuff like that doesn't happen often but I would feel so terrible if something happened to her when I'm not there to make it all better. At least its only 2 days a week though, the other day I work she'll be with my fiance, parents or sister so I know she'll be fine.

Anyway, best go, I can hear Lacie's bedtime story coming to an end so want to go give her a goodnight kiss. Hope you all have a lovely week x
