Skybie - sorry your feeling pressured. I can understand how you feel, we can only give so much of ourselves & at the moment it's going to the baby. As for still spotting, me too and i also look at it as my body is still recovering so DTD is not on the cards. I often get a little bit of guilt that my hubby has gone without DTD for a quite a while now... Well get there again eventually.

Elocin - oh I love Revenge. I watched up until ep.16 last week. I'm hooked. I plan on tackling Breaking Bad season 4 next. How you doing sleep wise?

Sararose - I'm in awe of what you can accomplish! Super cute your DD wanted to use her brolly

Buffy- how you feeling? Wow chuckling and screeching already, that's awesome. We are getting big smiles and just the last couple of days short outbursts of noise. My DD loves nothing more then sleeping on me during the day also, while I LOVE our snuggles sometimes you want to be able to put them down to have some freedom.

Lct - that's great you've noticed improvement when swaddled in other than a blanket. I think I might go buy one on the weekend & give it a go. Quick feeder here also. I'm a little jealous you have a bub that likes to lay in their bouncer - I've got a snuggle bunny here. I had a CS aswell and found it tender earlier on (I had a nasty infection) and I get the occasional little twang but nothing major. It's not red is it? Have you been feeling well?

Nickers - I'm hearing you on the cooking front. I've been cooking but only cause we have to eat. DD only gives me a small window to cook so it's usually nothing fancy. How are you feeling now?

Peanutter - how you feeling about starting work? Oh new bras! Yah. Wow 60 premade lunches ... Where do you find the time? I would love to get my hair done too, thinking about finding someone that comes to your home as we've had no luck with DD taking a bottle.

Mylitta - Woohoo for all 3 having a sleep. Did you manage to catch some zzz's?

Razzberry - how you going? I'm sorry bubs has reflux. painfull for Mum an Bubs hey

Hi to everyone else, I hope you and bubs are keeping well.

AFM - sleep has been pretty good. I'm finding myself getting quiet anxious of a night when she wakes for a feed and I have to settle her. I worry she won't let me put her down as during the day she doesn't settle for a sleep unless in my arms. No matter how long I hold, Rock, or wrap her she cracks it when I put her down. Yargh!! Day sleeps have always been a problem here.

Feeding is really quick now, usually 10mins max. I hope she's getting the good stuff.

I've been feeling a little stir crazy at home and can't wait for my DH to come home of a night. I wish he didn't work so many hours ... 6 days a week too.

I am really hating the reflection I see in the mirror lately. I've lost 12kilos of pregnancy weight but need to lose another 8 to get back to Pre baby... But would like to loose another 10kilos on top of that. I look like I'm 5months pregnant my tummy is so pudgy and loose, I also have a tummy overhang and can't seem to find anything that makes me look somewhat attractive. Meh

Skye. I completely understand where you are coming from hun. It's so hard. Ever since getting pregnant with DS1 my sex drive hasn't really recovered. Years of pregnancy and BF do take their toll and I think the men in our lives, no matter how hard they try, really aren't able to 'get' it. Unfortunately, I have no idea what the solution is... Possibly time and space... Oh and of course, children who sleep well.

Sara, Miss Helena seems to be sleeping really well for you. I have to say I am in awe at how you juggle everything and manage to get so much done. Hope things continue this way for you.

Nickers, I hope you're feeling a little better now. Hopefully Ryker will give you another good nights sleep tonight and let you get on top of this bug.

Razz, glad to hear you got the CC place. It will be great for you to have some one on one time with your little man.

Peanutter, hope you're enjoying your last couple of days at home. I'm another one who is in awe of your 60 lunches!

Lct, did you get the MCHN to have a look at your CS scar? I'd also be a little concerned about it still being sore to touch. I'm only 4 weeks on, but my scar hasn't been painful for quite awhile. Definately worth getting it checked out just in case.

AFM, today is my first day flying solo! DH went back to work today. DS1 was quite upset this morning and our CC drop off went less than well. Poor thing was so upset. But his teacher called me an hour later to say that he had settled down quickly after I left and was back to his usual happy self, so that's a relief. I'm expecting the next couple of weeks to be a bit difficult for him (and me) as he adjusts to real life. He's at CC the next couple of days though, which means that I can ease into looking after the two of them slowly, rather than being thrown straight in the deep end.

Cooper had his 4 week check-up with the MCHN today. He's still piling on the weight and is becoming quite a chubba bubba. Another 350 grams and 2.5cms in the last 8 days, but I'm expecting it to slow down soon. We had a great night last night. Fed him at 10pm before I went to bed, he woke at 2am and then again at 6am. So I only had to get up once last night which was lovely! Hoping we can keep this up. He normally wakes around 5am for a feed, which has been a pain because by the time I've fed him, done the nappy, burped him and put him back down DS1 is waking up and the day has to get started. He was pretty unsettled though today, after dragging him out for the CC drop-off, then home, then getting him up again to go to the MCHN, he was a bit over-tired. Took me over an hour of cuddling etc to get him into a deep enough sleep to be able to put him down. But, I haven't got anything planned for tomorrow, so hopefully we can both have a nice restful day in.

Now, I should run and make the most of his sleep time and get some house work done! Hope everyone is having a wonderful day x

nickers, how are you feeling? Better or worse? There are so many bugs floating around, must be the change of season. It's freezing down here. Great sleep for Ryker last night, he must have known his mama needed some rest.

Skye, sorry you feel under pressure to DTD. I totally understand why you'd be over it, and that sense of your body belonging to someone else. It's bluddy hard to get in the mood when you have a little person constantly attached and in need, you feel so 'over-touched'. I haven't been remotely up for it for months and months, so far DH has been patient but I know he's keen. PS can't believe A is already nine weeks old

sara, fantastic sleep from Helena and glad she settled a bit better in the carrier. Do you have a special pumpkin soup recipe? Everything claims theirs is the best but I think my mum's definitely was.

Rosey, I'm feeling pretty good thanks hon. The anxiety about settling sucks, I'm like that with feeds - as soon as I get back to bed I keep thinking, only a couple of hours (or 1.5 lately) until the next one, what if I can't get back to sleep (and I usually can't) etc. Gah! Congrats on losing 12 kg, that's amazing - you should be really proud of that effort! You'll get there, give your body time to recover. I'm sure you look gorgeous.

Miss E, must be so hard to see your big boy upset for drop-offs. What a relief that he calmed down. Cooper is doing so well, what a great weight gain! If you could please ask him to teach W how to have four-hour stretches at night, that'd be fab

Elocin, how was your day today? Did C behave himself? Sloane, lct, me-lisa, peanutter, Mylitta and anyone I missed - howdy.

AFM: had a lovely shopping day with my SIL, W did very well being out for five hours. She slept in the Hug-a-Bub while I bought her winter wardrobe had a major meltdown in Best & Less towards the end though, SIL couldn't believe how loud she was. I couldn't either! I seem to be spending a lot of time in the car parked in carparks or the side of the road feeding her with the radio going and trying to hide my boobs from curious passers-by/other cars. Does anyone else do this?

Must say I'm envious of those whose bubs are sleeping in 3+ stretches overnight. W doesn't sleep for longer than about 2.5 hours (if I get that I'm cheering!) and is usually up every hour from 4:00/4:30. We did have a nice snuggle in front of the heater at the crack of dawn today, and I might start bringing her back to bed with me for a sleep-in when DH returns to work. I'm looking forward to when her tummy is a little bigger, I gotta say. I wonder if it would help to push her 'bed time' a bit later and tank her up some more...either that or I just have a hungry, growing baby

Buffy-wow a 5hour shopping stint your so game. Kudos to you! Hhhmm yes we've fed in the car in the carpark before :/ never had to pull over on the side of the road though. My window tiny is super dark so no one can see in thankfully... I can imagine there would be some sticky beaks though. I'm really feeling for you with your DD waking so frequently... Exhausted probably doesn't even cover how you must be feeling. Ill send some good sleep vibes your way tonight.

I'm not going tell you all that C had an awesome sleep last night (6.30-11.30 & 12.30-5.30).

I'm not going to tell you that I walked around the shops by myself and he slept the whole time.

I'm not going to tell you that he pretty much slept from 11am til 4pm only waking to fed and then falling asleep on the boob.

I'm not going to tell you that we went out for tea for DH's birthday and I fed C in a restaurant for the first time and he fell asleep about 7pm and hasn't flinched since then.

Nope. Not saying it outloud. Not even once

Buffy, how awesome that W behaved herself for so long at the shops!! Nice one! Honestly, I've not been out for that long that I've had to pull over / go back to the car and feed. I've gone to the parents room to change his bum and fed him while I was there.

Skye, we've had the same discussion / not fought about it, but his intentions have been made loud and clear... And I just can't bring myself to do. Being touched out as Buffy said is my big thing... I also find it difficult to comprehend how he wants to grope my boobs when I spend all day with them out feeding the baby. I dunno babe... Big hugs x

Sorry everyone else, I'm in my phone. Big love to you all xo

    Penutter, that's some awesome cooking!

Aw Rosey, I hope the babe has gone back to sleep!

C didn't wake until 12.30 but took a while to go back to sleep... I didn't get back to bed until after 2am and then it took me ages to fall asleep. I need to learn to turn my mind off when I go back to bed...

Elocin - you've had a long night too by the sounds of it. I have trouble switching off the ol mind also.

Peanutter - awww poor bubba that's no good. Is a rash a common side effect?

I'm sorry your both have/having a rough night.

DD went down for an hour.. Enough time for me to wind down & get 20mins sleep lol... & her we are awake again.

I think I got about 20 mins as well Rosey!

Peanutter, I hope J's rash clears up.

Quick expressing question... How much do you freeze in one bag?

Nic - prob better to freeze smaller amounts as you can only reheat once when defrosted so you dont wanna waste any. cause ds is on the bottle i know how much he has been having, so been freezing 120ml lots. but ive also freezed some 40ml lots
if you wanted to try and work out how much he would have in a feed you can multiply his weight x 150. then times the amount of feeds per day say 6 or 8.
Miss E- wow Coopers weight is going great. sorry to hear ds1 was so upset, so hard to leave them like that, but glad they rang and let you know he had setteled down
dont be so hard on yourself re loosing weight, your only 4 weeks post bub

buffy- wow 5hours good on you! I havent really been anywhere long with Ryker yet cause ive mostly had 2 or 3 kids but now they are back to school i'll get out some more.
Skye- we havent dtd since prob half way through the pregnancy. as i got along in weeks i was scared it would trigger labour or something. I only stopped bleeding a week ago and still been wearing a liner so have not felt any drive to dtd. I hope your dh eases up on you soon, youve been child bearing and breastfeeding for a long period, maybe he needs reminding of that. Cry if you need to, i hope the girls all settle down for you.

still annoyed i lost my post yesterday lol windows of opportunity are short around here. I dont think i am getting a cold etc cause i dont have a sore throat or runny nose my whole body is just sore, sore from expressing, not sleeping right etc and recovering from c/s. Im going to show Ryker off at work today and handy that they are chiro's so need a good adjustment atm.
I hate arvo/evening time...i get so dog tired around 4pm and thats when the big boys start hyping up, gand Ryker starts not letting me put him down.
well Ryker had a shocker from 6-9 last night, so unsettled and upset towards the end i just didnt know what more i could do. I was at my wits end so said he just has to have a cry for a few mins while i express, so i put him in his bassinett screaming, went to my room thought i just need to give him and me a few minutes and within a min or 2 the crying stopped, so i looked in on him and he was asleep.... far our child, screamed for 3hours and i let him sort himself out and he just zonked out......
i then woke at 115am heard him squirming around so i find if i can express before the feed then i can get straight back to sleep after his feed and not have to do it then. so i expressed and he had stayed asleep, i laid back down thinking he'll wake in a second, next thing i knew i woke up at 330am OMG 8hours.....
sorry im not trying to rub it in. he made up for his 3hours grumpty stint with his big sleep.

i didnt get my shower (you could probably tell by the smell) left mums later than i had planned, had a hypo as we were getting ready to go and by the time we got home and got the big girls to bed it was 10pm, and DF wanted to go to bed and miss A was in a very, if you put me down even for a second im going to scream mood. This was after an hour of screaming already, i finally gave in at 1130 and just took her to bed with me, and guess what, as soon as we layed down together she was out like a light, and get this i had to WAKE her at 8 this morning for a feed!!!! 8 and a half hrs straight!!! she wasnt even to interested in a feed when i woke her either.
But TBH, id rather have regular naps during the day and a couple of wake ups during the night then no sleep during the day
Hopefully i can get both of them to nap at the same time today so i can jump in a quick shower
