Mylitta hats off to you getting all 3 asleep at the same time
did you sleep to or rest?

Razz- feeling for you and the reflux, im gonna speak with my gp friday when i go get Rykers needles he still seems like he has reflux, he does small spews, not huge ones like my other 2 used to but its the pain it causes him, the back arching and grunting and screaming until something comes up im sure its reflux. thats great you have DD in care 1 day a week, im sure it will be good for her and you
peanutter- 60 premade lunches WOW!! good on you for being so well organised. what sorts of things have you made yourself?

well i think i am either coming down with something or over doing it cause my whole body aches
R managed a 6 1/2hr stint overnight which i was thankful for cause i needed it, but he took a long while to settle after, then ds2 wet the bed, then came into our bed and then i didnt really sleep cause i had Ryker in with us too and was paranoid thier were too many bodies in the bed and he would roll onto Ryker...
was going to walk to school again today but ive decided to not push myself, ds2 who hasnt been in a pram for 18months suddenly decides he wants to go in the pram too so i end up pushing a 4 1/2yr old aswell as Ryker

    Vent ahead-

DF has been constantly putting the hard word on me lately, i get that its been like 12 weeks but FFS im so over it! im just not ready to do it yet.
i stopped bleeding FINALLY last week, but have had spotting on and off since then and in my head, if im still bleeding, then obviously things arent quite ready yet.
im over the need for my body, ive been breastfeeding a baby round the clock for the last 9 weeks (dont get me wrong i love it! but at the same time, my body is needed by someone other than myself ITMS?) before that i was carrying her in my belly for 37 weeks and before that it was only 3 and bit months between jacks birth and addisons conception, so in other words, 2 yrs of someone other than myself needing my body. and if we want to count it, i bf Iz for 6 months and as soon as i stopped i was pregnant again, so virtually 3.5 yrs of my body not being my own, which is fine, when we choose to have kids, we choose to sacrifice our bodies.

i've been waiting until after he's in bed before i go in (like an hr or 2) and the last few nights ive taken Addison into bed with me just so he doesnt try anything on. Last night the 3 of us were having nice cuddles for a while and then the wandering hand started, i moved my body in a way to indicate that i wasnt interested but he kept going and i asked him to stop, which he did, but then he blew up at me because apparently i was stringing him on....um no. I dont deal with pre arranged sex, i just cant do it, i dont know why, the pressure of knowing i have to 'preform' makes me shut down and definetly doesnt get me in the mood!
its not that i dont want to have sex with him, just not yet.
He's been so great since he started his new job, he;s the happiest he's been in yrs and is helping heaps with the kids and the house work, i get that he NEEDS to have sex, every healthy relationship does but atm, im just not there.

Sorry to unload that on you ladies, just needed to get it out before i belt him with a frying pan.

In A news, nothing major to report, decent night out of my sprout, i looovoe snuggling in bed with her, she's so fnny when she sleeps

Skybie, sorry things are strained between you and hubby. I understand because DH definitely has a higher sex drive than I do. Luckily since having Arlia he hasn't requested anything more than a "helping hand". I don't even know how to manage anything more these days. Arlia is co-sleeping in our room and the majority of nights we have his two stepsons here because they live with us, so it's not like we can retreat to the lounge room for some action because even after bed time someone might get up and wander in. I wonder how others make this work....?

Skye sorry you guys are having a rough time, it's hard when you have different needs do you feel up to giving your DF 'a helping hand'? As Mylitta put it to take a bit of pressure off? I know it still is demanding of your body but maybe not so intimate and might take some of the pressure off both of you. I get where you are coming from I love breastfeeding but you do lose a sense of self at times.

Nickers hope you can shake off whatever it is,mgreat sleep from Ryker

Peanutter you sound super organised, 60 lunches is amazing, I'm pretty impressed if I get six meals put away in the freezer lol

Mylitta hope you enjoyed the the peace when you and all three asleep. I ended up leaving the two little girls in the car the other day as they and fallen asleep, they were in the garage which is under the main roof, it wasn't hot the doors were open and the door to the house was open so i could hear them and dd2 w unstrapped so she could get out when she woke up. I still felt a bit guilty but they were perfectly safe and I did not want to risk waking them up!

Another good night from Helena 5.5hr sleep, woke, fed, spewed into the arm of my dressing gown then settled down quickly. Then she woke at 6 which fitted in nicely with getting ready for school except she was really unsettled so I ended up wearing her in the close carrier most of the morning before we left. Still managed to get another load of washing on and all the normal morning jobs done. We went shopping as the girls had eaten fruit I had bought to last 5 days in 2 days and I picked up some cheap pumpkin so there is a pot of pumpkin soup on the stove and the corned beef is in the slow cooker. Had DD2 in tears as it wasn't raining this morning and she wanted to use her umbrella, lucky for her it started when we got to the shops so she got to use the umbrella, I wasn't so excited about the rain when shopping with two kidlets but it made dd's day lol

Skye. I completely understand where you are coming from hun. It's so hard. Ever since getting pregnant with DS1 my sex drive hasn't really recovered. Years of pregnancy and BF do take their toll and I think the men in our lives, no matter how hard they try, really aren't able to 'get' it. Unfortunately, I have no idea what the solution is... Possibly time and space... Oh and of course, children who sleep well.

Sara, Miss Helena seems to be sleeping really well for you. I have to say I am in awe at how you juggle everything and manage to get so much done. Hope things continue this way for you.

Nickers, I hope you're feeling a little better now. Hopefully Ryker will give you another good nights sleep tonight and let you get on top of this bug.

Razz, glad to hear you got the CC place. It will be great for you to have some one on one time with your little man.

Peanutter, hope you're enjoying your last couple of days at home. I'm another one who is in awe of your 60 lunches!

Lct, did you get the MCHN to have a look at your CS scar? I'd also be a little concerned about it still being sore to touch. I'm only 4 weeks on, but my scar hasn't been painful for quite awhile. Definately worth getting it checked out just in case.

AFM, today is my first day flying solo! DH went back to work today. DS1 was quite upset this morning and our CC drop off went less than well. Poor thing was so upset. But his teacher called me an hour later to say that he had settled down quickly after I left and was back to his usual happy self, so that's a relief. I'm expecting the next couple of weeks to be a bit difficult for him (and me) as he adjusts to real life. He's at CC the next couple of days though, which means that I can ease into looking after the two of them slowly, rather than being thrown straight in the deep end.

Cooper had his 4 week check-up with the MCHN today. He's still piling on the weight and is becoming quite a chubba bubba. Another 350 grams and 2.5cms in the last 8 days, but I'm expecting it to slow down soon. We had a great night last night. Fed him at 10pm before I went to bed, he woke at 2am and then again at 6am. So I only had to get up once last night which was lovely! Hoping we can keep this up. He normally wakes around 5am for a feed, which has been a pain because by the time I've fed him, done the nappy, burped him and put him back down DS1 is waking up and the day has to get started. He was pretty unsettled though today, after dragging him out for the CC drop-off, then home, then getting him up again to go to the MCHN, he was a bit over-tired. Took me over an hour of cuddling etc to get him into a deep enough sleep to be able to put him down. But, I haven't got anything planned for tomorrow, so hopefully we can both have a nice restful day in.

Now, I should run and make the most of his sleep time and get some house work done! Hope everyone is having a wonderful day x

Skybie - sorry your feeling pressured. I can understand how you feel, we can only give so much of ourselves & at the moment it's going to the baby. As for still spotting, me too and i also look at it as my body is still recovering so DTD is not on the cards. I often get a little bit of guilt that my hubby has gone without DTD for a quite a while now... Well get there again eventually.

Elocin - oh I love Revenge. I watched up until ep.16 last week. I'm hooked. I plan on tackling Breaking Bad season 4 next. How you doing sleep wise?

Sararose - I'm in awe of what you can accomplish! Super cute your DD wanted to use her brolly

Buffy- how you feeling? Wow chuckling and screeching already, that's awesome. We are getting big smiles and just the last couple of days short outbursts of noise. My DD loves nothing more then sleeping on me during the day also, while I LOVE our snuggles sometimes you want to be able to put them down to have some freedom.

Lct - that's great you've noticed improvement when swaddled in other than a blanket. I think I might go buy one on the weekend & give it a go. Quick feeder here also. I'm a little jealous you have a bub that likes to lay in their bouncer - I've got a snuggle bunny here. I had a CS aswell and found it tender earlier on (I had a nasty infection) and I get the occasional little twang but nothing major. It's not red is it? Have you been feeling well?

Nickers - I'm hearing you on the cooking front. I've been cooking but only cause we have to eat. DD only gives me a small window to cook so it's usually nothing fancy. How are you feeling now?

Peanutter - how you feeling about starting work? Oh new bras! Yah. Wow 60 premade lunches ... Where do you find the time? I would love to get my hair done too, thinking about finding someone that comes to your home as we've had no luck with DD taking a bottle.

Mylitta - Woohoo for all 3 having a sleep. Did you manage to catch some zzz's?

Razzberry - how you going? I'm sorry bubs has reflux. painfull for Mum an Bubs hey

Hi to everyone else, I hope you and bubs are keeping well.

AFM - sleep has been pretty good. I'm finding myself getting quiet anxious of a night when she wakes for a feed and I have to settle her. I worry she won't let me put her down as during the day she doesn't settle for a sleep unless in my arms. No matter how long I hold, Rock, or wrap her she cracks it when I put her down. Yargh!! Day sleeps have always been a problem here.

Feeding is really quick now, usually 10mins max. I hope she's getting the good stuff.

I've been feeling a little stir crazy at home and can't wait for my DH to come home of a night. I wish he didn't work so many hours ... 6 days a week too.

I am really hating the reflection I see in the mirror lately. I've lost 12kilos of pregnancy weight but need to lose another 8 to get back to Pre baby... But would like to loose another 10kilos on top of that. I look like I'm 5months pregnant my tummy is so pudgy and loose, I also have a tummy overhang and can't seem to find anything that makes me look somewhat attractive. Meh

nickers, how are you feeling? Better or worse? There are so many bugs floating around, must be the change of season. It's freezing down here. Great sleep for Ryker last night, he must have known his mama needed some rest.

Skye, sorry you feel under pressure to DTD. I totally understand why you'd be over it, and that sense of your body belonging to someone else. It's bluddy hard to get in the mood when you have a little person constantly attached and in need, you feel so 'over-touched'. I haven't been remotely up for it for months and months, so far DH has been patient but I know he's keen. PS can't believe A is already nine weeks old

sara, fantastic sleep from Helena and glad she settled a bit better in the carrier. Do you have a special pumpkin soup recipe? Everything claims theirs is the best but I think my mum's definitely was.

Rosey, I'm feeling pretty good thanks hon. The anxiety about settling sucks, I'm like that with feeds - as soon as I get back to bed I keep thinking, only a couple of hours (or 1.5 lately) until the next one, what if I can't get back to sleep (and I usually can't) etc. Gah! Congrats on losing 12 kg, that's amazing - you should be really proud of that effort! You'll get there, give your body time to recover. I'm sure you look gorgeous.

Miss E, must be so hard to see your big boy upset for drop-offs. What a relief that he calmed down. Cooper is doing so well, what a great weight gain! If you could please ask him to teach W how to have four-hour stretches at night, that'd be fab

Elocin, how was your day today? Did C behave himself? Sloane, lct, me-lisa, peanutter, Mylitta and anyone I missed - howdy.

AFM: had a lovely shopping day with my SIL, W did very well being out for five hours. She slept in the Hug-a-Bub while I bought her winter wardrobe had a major meltdown in Best & Less towards the end though, SIL couldn't believe how loud she was. I couldn't either! I seem to be spending a lot of time in the car parked in carparks or the side of the road feeding her with the radio going and trying to hide my boobs from curious passers-by/other cars. Does anyone else do this?

Must say I'm envious of those whose bubs are sleeping in 3+ stretches overnight. W doesn't sleep for longer than about 2.5 hours (if I get that I'm cheering!) and is usually up every hour from 4:00/4:30. We did have a nice snuggle in front of the heater at the crack of dawn today, and I might start bringing her back to bed with me for a sleep-in when DH returns to work. I'm looking forward to when her tummy is a little bigger, I gotta say. I wonder if it would help to push her 'bed time' a bit later and tank her up some more...either that or I just have a hungry, growing baby

Nice work kel!! My personal best is 540ml ... you win!! But it makes me sympathise with women who struggle with expressing ...

nickers - yes, I expressed for about 8 months after coming back to work after DS1, and I have it down to a fine art!! But as I seem to be producing more this time, I'm taking breastmilk bags, with a view to transferring the milk from cups to bags before taking it home, as I'll be able to fit a lot more into my little esky thing. I use an office which noone occupies, which has basically floor to ceiling blinds, and no windows to outside. I just use the kitchen to clean the pump etc, and the milk goes in the fridge or freezer until I take it home ... I pop it right at the back, just in case anyone is grossed out by it - but I've never had any negative comments. I have however had some really funny reactions, particularly by younger people, who have asked "What's that?" when I'm cleaning my pump, or when seeing me put "my milk" in the fridge

as for my glorious return, I'm actually waiting for one of those home visiting doctors to get here ... I've had a sore throat for over a week, and had actually gone to the GP last week and was told my throat was red but fine (no pus etc) but now it's even more sore and swollen, and my ear and glands are hurting too, and the glands appear to be swollen, so nurse on call said to see a dr, so seeing a dr I am ... I hope that it's not contagious - I'm now all ready to go in tomorrow!! But I'll have to wait and see. No point storming in to the sound of magical trumpets and giving the whole office strep throat or something ... !

sounds like lack of sleep is common atm, I think Sam is having another growth spurt... she was pretty much up for the last 24 hours, yesterday, but then slept for most of the day today, which means she hasn't settled tonight (although slept from 1-3am so I have a couple of hours sleep under my belt). Yesterday I went to bed at 9am after her long stint...

As for food, I am getting more and more hungry as the days go on, so really need to have more healthy food in the house to snack on. Although I seem to be having breakfast and dinner as after being up all night settling Sam, I tend to get out of bed just before lunchtime...

DH is keen to DTD, and I would probably be up for it, if I wasn't so tired, so he will just have to miss out for a little longer.

Peanutter, I hope you aren't contagious although it could be a sneaky way of prolonging your maternity leave.

What bags do you use when expressing? And where do you get them from?

Buffy-wow a 5hour shopping stint your so game. Kudos to you! Hhhmm yes we've fed in the car in the carpark before :/ never had to pull over on the side of the road though. My window tiny is super dark so no one can see in thankfully... I can imagine there would be some sticky beaks though. I'm really feeling for you with your DD waking so frequently... Exhausted probably doesn't even cover how you must be feeling. Ill send some good sleep vibes your way tonight.

I'm not going tell you all that C had an awesome sleep last night (6.30-11.30 & 12.30-5.30).

I'm not going to tell you that I walked around the shops by myself and he slept the whole time.

I'm not going to tell you that he pretty much slept from 11am til 4pm only waking to fed and then falling asleep on the boob.

I'm not going to tell you that we went out for tea for DH's birthday and I fed C in a restaurant for the first time and he fell asleep about 7pm and hasn't flinched since then.

Nope. Not saying it outloud. Not even once

Buffy, how awesome that W behaved herself for so long at the shops!! Nice one! Honestly, I've not been out for that long that I've had to pull over / go back to the car and feed. I've gone to the parents room to change his bum and fed him while I was there.

Skye, we've had the same discussion / not fought about it, but his intentions have been made loud and clear... And I just can't bring myself to do. Being touched out as Buffy said is my big thing... I also find it difficult to comprehend how he wants to grope my boobs when I spend all day with them out feeding the baby. I dunno babe... Big hugs x

Sorry everyone else, I'm in my phone. Big love to you all xo

    Penutter, that's some awesome cooking!

Aw Rosey, I hope the babe has gone back to sleep!

C didn't wake until 12.30 but took a while to go back to sleep... I didn't get back to bed until after 2am and then it took me ages to fall asleep. I need to learn to turn my mind off when I go back to bed...
