buffy - will update you below Rehab - is that sleep school? I thought your bub had to be 6 months old?? I'm considering it for DS2 ... he's not too bad, but is still sometimes waking up twice overnight, which is just brutal for me- I normally don't get to bed until around midnight, and am then waking twice before I get up at 5am ... It's just not working! So thrilled for you that you're down to one overnight wake though!! Huzzah!!

afm - my oh my, it's been a busy 24 hours. I finished the advice (three times as long and as complicated as I'd anticipated, but we got there!), got my junior completely ready for court and it went well, prepped for two more court appearances, had some meetings, proofed some documents for my team, took some calls, made some calls, expressed four times, left late, got picked up at the station, dropped off at Taco Bills for a BB meet up, minded the two boys while DH picked up some more gals from the station, ate food, went home (I nana-ed out before 10pm!!!) , bf DS2, DS1 did his first poo on the potty, positively reinforced DS1, expressed, did emails, online shopping, went to bed, got up and bf, went to bed, got up and bf, expressed, went to Drs (all 4 of us ...), had coffee, came home bf DS, and jumped on BB.
I now need to express, do my blog (check it out soon - give me a couple of hours though!!) and then make a list of my anti-trafficking books, and do a crud load of other stuff ... and I plan on having a long and luxurious bubble bath ... I'll start with the boys, but palm them off to DH once they're clean, and then DH can wash the dogs in the bath when I'm done. It's all about the water conservation, baby
It's my birthday lunch with family tomorrow after church, which will be nice!

I kind of don't want to express now, because it might be cutting it a little close to DS2's next feed ... but on the other hand, I could pump now and still feed him when he gets up, and just give him a top up with EBM ... probably will still be ahead of the game, doing that ...
Relax! Put your feet up and read a book for five minutes! Murphys law if you pump he will wake up 2 mintues after you're finished, feed, then drink all the EBM
I am cramming big time for my exam tomorrow morning, been reading but haven't had much time to post. DF is doing 12hr night shifts at the moment which is not very conducive to studying. At least the girls are pretty good sleepers and sleep well once they're in bed.
A question for PN and Nickers and anyone else who expresses. How much do you offer at each feed? I am impressed with myself, just expressed 90ml using my hands but not sure if I should express again at some stage tonight or if that will be enough for a feed tomorrow morning while I'm gone. I suppose it probably differs from baby to baby but a rough guide would be good. Thank you!

Hi 'nutter, hope you enjoyed your weekend.
It's so nice to be back home but typically we had a shocker of a day, right after getting a gold star from sleep school! Had to wake W at 9:15 to 'check out', then went to brunch with some buddies where my little cherub actually fell asleep in the pram for the first time ever...for 20 minutes. Well, it was on for young and old from there. When we got home naps were 45 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes, 10 minutes and then up for a few hours screeching, cluster feeding, getting frustrated, confused at new/old surroundings etc. Finally conked out at 7:00, poor mite. Hopefully we can reset overnight and start fresh. If she misses those long morning naps it's shocking! On the upside, she will go down wide awake in bassinette with minor fussing and some very cute cooing at the blanket, shelves, my arm etc
Good luck tomorrow fuzzy, every baby is different H only has about 70-90ml of EBM in a feed but she has only had it very occasionally and isnt that keen on bottles but when I get home she will bf more often. Iff you get a chance to express some more you can have it there just in case and if its not needed you can freeze it
Fuzzy- the guide I use to work out how much was what the lactation mw gave me in hospital which is 150 multiply by their weight, then divide the amount of feeds they have. I think when they are on solids it srops to 120 by weight, but I'll just Gage off what R wants. At the moment he has approx 140ml and 6-7 feeds. Well done on hand expressing! I find that very difficult and usually takes me twice as long to get half as much.
Well sickness is not over in this house I woke last night with a sore throat again and can see the white on my tonsils again, back to doctor for me today. But my stomach has felt real average too, like I'm not sure if I will vomit anyway midnight tonight ds2 calls out, he had vomitted all over himself and in his bed. I woke dh to help me, showered him and began the gross clean up. I even threw his pjs out cause I couldn't stomach the cleaning. Dh has moved to the lounge so can be close by if it happens again. I'm just so over all of this, I want us to be enjoying our new life as a family of 5, yet someone has been sick every single week since the week b4 ryker was born. That's 11weeks. What am I doing wrong? The kids take multi vitamins and vitamin c, I do too and started inner health Plus after my AB.. All I do is clean and wash, clean and wash I feel like I'm not looking after us well enough because we all keep getting sick. This vomitting bug was clearly spread in ds1 classroom which I'm still annoyed the parents still shipped the poor girl to school when she was already sick and subsequently vomitted in class. I need to chat to my doc tomorrow if there is anything else we should be taking, or doing to get Over all this and enjoy life
Well, this weekend I didn't achieve hald of what I wanted, but I have logged some serious contact hours with DS1, so everything is worth it. The weekend was good - just not at all what I had planned, and (like normal) there was no where near enough sleep ...
DH has his exam on Friday, and I'm worried for him ... DS2 isn't a routine baby at all, I am sort of toying with the idea of sleep school to get him into a routine, but we'll see if he grows into one first ... but DH doesn't have much time to get ready!!
My birthday is next Monday, and we haven't really done anything about it. I had my family birthday lunch yesterday, as some of them will be away for the long weekend next week, but that's all. I've decided that my present from the family will be a meal at a really nice restaurant, but I don't think DH has got around to making a booking, and I strongly suspect it will be too late now, either for the booking, or probably for a babysitter! But we'll see ...
In any event, happy Monday! See y'all on the flipside.
Oh - and DS had a good night, feeding at 10pm and then sleeping until 4.30am second sort of sleep-through ... now for mummy and daddy to go to bed when he does!!
nickers - i cant believe those parents sent their dd to school when she was sick. so irresponsible. it sounds like you're doing everything you can, i hope you're all 100% soon
nutter - i hope your dh makes a booking soon -maybe some not too subtle hints?! glad you managed some good quality time with your ds1 - i was reading a book that calls it feeding your toddler's meter & can help avoid tantrums. sounds reasonable!

afm, can't believe im planning ds' 3rd birthday. yikes! we're having a party this year - his first one. it's fun planning it - he loves dinosaurs so that's the theme. mind you, he'll be happy with anything - he just loves going to parties!
K is still going well - such a happy, smiley girl. i dont remember my spirited little guy being as happy & chilled out. she might be doing some growing at the moment - she fed every two hours last night.

My DS didn't get any teeth until about 10.5 months, and DD1 started to get hers at about 6ish months of age. One of DS's baby buddies was born with a tooth!

My older DD's were both 7months when they cut their first teeth, will be interesting to see if this miss is the same.
funny though at DD1's first bday she had 4 teeth, at DD2's she had 16! she was such a great teether too, hope addison takes after her
