welcome, duck! I'm also pg with #2, though out little bundle is due in February.
Now girls I know that this isn't the belly buddies group, but I've got to share my happies, and also vent ...
scan - had the scan today ... it says 7w6d! which sounds stupidly early, until you compare it to the blood test 3.5 weeks ago which said 3-5 weeks, compared with the LMP date, which pegs me at more like 14 weeks. So there you go. EDD assuming a c-section at 38 weeks puts us at 29 February 2012 - which DH specifically wanted to avoid! But we'll see, right? And i got to see his/her precious little heartbeart. They weren't moving around at all ... still to soon, I guess. But the sack was a good size, Ziggy is apparently a good size, and obviously a heartbeat is a big plus
morning sickness - have been sick All Day Today. No reprieve, no relief, nothing is working, have hardly been able to eat a thing, and only survived the train trips in and out of work by making myself go to sleep both ways. HAd an up'n'go for brekky around 10am, had some crackers onn and off throughout the day, had a tiny bit of soup for lunch and a tiny bit of steak and potato for dinner ... I'm hungry, I just can't think of a single thing I'm confident I could stomach ... not good. I know that Ziggy doesn't need much and so he/she will be fine, but I'm not so sure about me...
illness in da house - so DS got conjunctivitis and mega snots and a bit of a cough at CC, and now I had a rotten sore throat and am all sick and blech. Thanksfully, the conjunctivitis appears to have almost cleared up, but as I suspect I'm contagious, I think I'll work from home tomorrow. Feeling a bit delicate, so it's a shame there's noone to coddle me, but thems the breaks, right? But I have a lot of work to do, and I also have to write a speech for Thursday so frankly I just have to pull my finger out and do them, and be glad I'm at least saving the 2hrs of travel, and can have a bath or a hot shower during the day if I need, if it will make me feel any better.
so sorry about the poor me, but I need the air time, and the love ...
Welcome Duck01. So nice to see a fellow Queenslander on board & congrats on Bub's 1 & 2.
Doodle, Yay for calling the FS. Here's hoping this round is quick for you.
Nutter, love B2's nickname. Ziggy. Very cool. Fantastic about the scan. How bizarre about the variance's in the date. I guess they will be monitor carefully & be able to pinpoint it more the further along you are. Hope the conjunctivis has cleared up & all of you are feeling better now.
Not much else going on here. Alyssa is learning more & more each day & making us laugh a ton. One thing I could do without is squealing. OMG - she is a squealer! All the way home from daycare this arvo in the car she kept trying to squeal louder & louder. 15 mins later we got home. She is just so happy though. Oh & she is catching up the teeth. Now has 4 & I think another 2 are on the way. Its a bit funny she has 3 at the bottom & one on top. I think they have daycare photo's next month so hopefully they have evened up in time for that.
Hi Peta- I hear you on the squealing- lol- Jhett's discovered it in the last few weeks!! OMG!!!!!!
I have been told im having another boy but i have another scan tomorrow to make sure my placenta has moved up- and ill double check then -hahahah. 28.5 weeks and im so over it- this one kicks so much more than Jhett did- and im getting really bad braxton hicks- sooooo painful!
Sending you love nutter. I hope ziggy goes easy on you and the sickness eases off. Perhaps this time around you can have more time off before zigs arrives? Just a thought
Hi PETA and duck.... I'm with you! My nickname for Darcie is squeeler..... (alt spelling!!) she has always been really loud squealer....I used to change nappies even when I was back home, and worry that the neighbors would think I was strangling her!! I really hope it eases off soon, I'm going deaf in my right ear!
Darc is finally getting her next set of teeth, so she keeps waking in the night asking for 'boo' we are cosleeping still so it's pretty easy.
Sending out love and hugs to all xxx

Oh Nutter you poor thing, keep on trying little bits of food at a time and fingers crossed it eases off for you soon! And we ARE your belly buddies group... I see it like playgroup, we bonded over the first bubs, any others that arrive after that are automatically included and 'bonus members'!!! Keep on sharing please!!!!! You're filling my clucky need at the moment and only 1 person in real life knows we're thinking about trying again so you're all I've got! LOL!
How long did the conjunctivitis hang around for? Logan has it, turned up on Thursday, he's been on drops Fri and Sat but it was still looking pretty horrid last night. He's still asleep now so haven't checked this am. Don't think there's much chance it's going to disappear today and he'll be fine for daycare tomorrow.....
Peta - we've been lucking with the squealing, we have more of the yelling! Last weekend I had dh, ds1 and Logan all yelling at the Eagles match on telly! It was really funny, dh and ds1 were yelling appropriate game like things 'c'mon Eagles' etc..., Logan had no idea what was going on but soooo wanted to be a part of it. He picked up his little footy and did laps around the lounge, dining, kitchen, laundry just yelling as loud as he could! So funny! Wish I'd thought to get the video out!
I can't wait until my appt with the fs on Thurs.... I'm sooooo clucky! We have the Pregnancy, Babies and Childrens Expo in Perth next weekend and I'm helping my friend out on her stand for a day. I've just been through the catalogue online and looking at prams (I sooooo don't need another! I currently still have 3!!!), nappy bags (again, I have 3 of these too!) and so many baby products that I want to buy in prep for our next one! Her stand is opposite the 'pregnancy pampering stand'...... I'm going to be so green with envy by the end of the day! LOL!
Anyway girls, enjoy your Sunday! Mine will be spent at the gym this morning (did I tell you girls I've become a gym junkie? I've been going 4-6 times a week and loving it! I have 10kg more to lose then I'll be at my goal weight..... unless I get pg first!) then off to lunch at the in-laws because they reckon they haven't seen me in ages... yeah, I've been kinda busy! Then dinner with my folks. Have a great day! xx
Doodle - any word on the FS? so excited for you And thanks for your lovely words, hun. Joshua has been having drops since Monday, and it seems to have cleared up ... but he's given it to me! Well done on the gymming - I used to go 3-4 times per week, but have been too depressed to get any motivation ... I don't even have a membership anymore but courtesy of morning sickness and this infection, I've lost 7.6 kilos and counting ... not exactly an appropriate weight loss tool, but I've been eating as well as I can, and we'll see what happens once the m/s clears!
Peta - thanks, hun! yes, ziggy the zygote ... we'll need another name when the bump appears, and things get moving and public Re the dates, we're not too fussed - my cycle always been pretty irregular, so I'm just glad that the dates make sense, and we have a little heartbeat I hear you re the squealing - thankfully Joshua seems to have started and stopped that phase pretty quickly! thank goodness ... Joshua only has 4 teeth too - they'll both catch up
duck - how's the placenta going? hope you're feeling well
Yules - thanks, lovely! we've decided to play it very much by ear ... a lot will depend on how I'm going emotionally, how I'm going physically, how Joshua is doing in terms of TT and understanding the impending arrival, how much time can I afford to take off work ... and when DH is going to leave work too. Etc.
afm ... sick! Joshua and I are both still pretty sick ... both spent most of yesterday in bed, and I suspect we'll be doing the same again today ... but I have to get better! I'm off to Sydney on Thursday for a very important conference which I've been looking forward to all year ... not going to be very productive if I'm snotting and vomiting all over the place!
Otherwise, work is busy, hospital complaint isn't progressing (there's a looooooooong waiting list to get appointed a conciliator, which is where we're at...) and DS is (as always) perfect. A mixed bag, to be sure!
I'm cheating, and doing the same post in my belly buddies and this thread ... but I need ideas and hugs ...
please please please pray for my m/s to go away, and for me, DH and DS to all get better too!
I feel like I have a limited amount of crisis space in my head, and it's still completely consumed by working through DS's birth and trying to mentally prepare for further hospital trips and the upcoming birth, and there's no space left for illness, m/s, work, friends, or getting used to the idea that I'm actually pregnant!!
I feel really ashamed that I feel no real connection with Ziggy, and I think it's because everytime I think about being pg, my mind goes straight to the birth, and the last birth and then it gets bad. I'm excited about the prospect of them being here, my I can't handle thinking about the inbetween part, and that's not good.
And it's not fair on Ziggy or on me - or on DH or DS really, as they are part of this pregnancy too ... I have counselling tomorrow. I have a lot to talk about ...
Aww babe. I wish I could help could you do with a couple of 'sick' days from work? Do they know??? You really need to leave some headspace for yourself. You don't want to fall in a heap, you're growing a person! Love love love coming your way xx

Hugs to you. I think Yules is right, maybe take some time out just for you & breathe. Its only natural for you to be anxious about the delivery of Ziggy. Maybe you could write down all of your concerns & run through them with the hospital at your visits so that you are prepared as can be. At the end of the day I'm sure the hospital will do what's best for you & Ziggy (& your two boys). Lots of hugs & try not to stress. xo
I have started another thread about having an independent midwife or doula with me, and am thinking about whether that would help, by having an advocate who knows what he/she is doing, what the processes are, and who will be in a more objective headspace than DH or me ...
I spoke to one this morning, and have lots to think about!
And I've been speaking with my counsellor about it a lot, and am coming up with some possible strategies ...
Thanks for the love and hugs.
Still throwing up bile - it's interesting. I'm throwing up a lot more this time than last time, but feel less sick, ITMS. As in, I still feel sick for a lot of the day most days, but it's not as intense - and it's not just that I'm used to it ...
But I'm really praying that it stops soon!!
How's everyone else doing?
Doodle - how's it going at your shack, and with your dad?
