GG: I got the Pidgeon Wide Neck 'Y' teats when DD had thickener in her bottle, and they fit fine in the Avent bottles. Maybe give those a go.

GG: Do you mean different sizes for flow??? It only has 1 hole but is cut in a Y shape so when they suck it opens up wider to let more flow out - it basically lets the baby dictate the flow by how much they suck. I'm actually using the Y teats for Liam's bottles - to be able to differentiate between whose bottle is whose and also he had thickener and now gaviscon in his bottle so that can also thicken the formula slightly. Liam has never had any issues being able to feed using the Y teats and when DD was having thickened formula she was having 4 scoops per bottle (it look almost like condensed milk when mixed together) and the Y teats were fine for her. Just for interest, I never increased my teats for the Avent Bottles from the size 2's as they can still get plenty without having to go up a size. DD still has a morning and evening bottle and I'm still using size 2 teats for her (obviously she no longer needs thickener) and she is 21 months.

Thanks guys for all the input on the green poo that makes a lot of sense, given that I've been comp feeding and he's been probably mostly having foremilk and Nan HA. I am unsure about the probiotic, as he's suddenly been doing some beautys of projectile vomits!
Anyway a couple of nights he has been sleeping earlier in the evening, and then been awake around midnight to 2am.
Also I have read a bit more about Motilium, and the long term effects of taking it. Basically I don't know what the dosage would be but people with Cancer, HIV take it as it's anti nausea. However it affects dopamine levels, causing depression in some people. Lactation is a sort of off label use for it.
That and the need for Jim to have some play time, means I'm going to stop comp feeding him (offering the breast first). I feel quite sad about it but I have done well to feed him for so long. I will be selling my Medela Swing.
I am going to switch to the wide neck bottles, as I bought a whole pile of Pigeon bottles on eBay. I originally got them to make it easier to comp feed but I can see they also have other pluses.
My Mum minded Jim today, she got him into a bit of a routine but I have no idea how I could keep that going lol. See how I go. I couldn't sleep but I had a fun day and got out, and went to the op shop, and had a nice lunch. Also a lot of my eBay parcels arrived. One was a bulk lot of clothes from someone in Rainbow Beach, up the coast, they are lovely summer size 0 clothes; another one was a reversible Pumpkin Patch vest. I also got some lovely cloth wipes - there's a lady on eBay making them and the postage was free.
Anyway I think it is bathtime!

Thanks for all that information Kelly, it is helpful. I had never used thickener before. I don't think I am going to bother keeping her on it. She was on it all day yesterday and she was really really unsettled and then ended up vomiting all over the place at about 11pm. I eventually put her down and she slept until I woke her at 8:30am to change her. I had to take the kids to school at that time and she was really smelly lol. I noticed from using the thickener that her poo had changed from dark green to a light green and then when I got home from dropping the kids off, she had her bottle and done another poo while she was feeding which was a runny yellow, must have been the water I gave her last night. She drank 50mls of water about an hour before her last bottle last night. BUt yeh I was really worried because her belly bloated up really big and she only had 2 wet nappies yesterday and no poo... So back to straight bottles this morning, changing back to size 2 teats. I worked out the other teats I had, you can angle them differently to change the flow (however that works lol) but it explains why she was ok the second feed but not the first - must have held it the right way up the second time... anyways gotta run, have NEP meetings with the school Arrghhh - feel like I just been through all this (but that was a year ago already).

Porsche, I have two older Maclaren strollers - a Techno XT and a um smaller one. I got them off eBay, the first one has been a bit stiff, and the second one a bit whiffy.
Still you can easily take them apart to..well sort of..you can clean them, the same with the Maclaren rockers. You can take the seat off and put it in the washing machine basically.
It has been fantastic when we have been to the shops, you can get down narrow aisles, and through crowds.

I'm concerned Bree is not having enough wet nappies. Iassume she had done a wee with her dirty nappy, other than that she hasn't really had a wee since yesterday morning. She had a bottle at 9 this morning and didn't want one after that until 3pm when she vomited half of it back up. She slept all day but is becoming very unsettled now... hoping bath, medicine and another bottle does the trick.
Got word today that we got the house we applied for, moving next weekend!

gg are you using cloth or disposable?
when i was in hospital the nurse told me if unsure of wet nappies, rip open and look at the gel in disposable, you willbe able to see clumps of the crystals if baby has done wees.

bern I am using disposables on Bree. Usually I can tell when she is wet because the nappy weighs more. The newborns had the strip down the front to tell if they were wet, but the size she has now don't have that... last nappy I changed was light as a feather, and I studied it closely to see if it was wet lol, but it was totally dry. She has had a little bit of nappy rash in the last week, apart from this week, she hasn't had much trouble with nappy rash. I found it came about when I forgot to bath her on one day, and then two days later I forgot again. Since then I make sure she is bathed every day.
She done a sneeze before and out popped a massive booger... it is huge, about the size of my little finger nail, and it is dark green, it looked like it had a little red in it too.. but very chunky for a little baby. I was going to ring the doctor, but whats the point? He wont do anything. I am moving next weekend, so will have to find a different doctor..
Oh - someone was asking about strollers. I have a discovery stroller from target. Its pretty good, easy to use except that it is hard to get things in and out of the basket underneath.. even when I put the stroller into the sitting up position, I still struggle to get the nappy bag out, maybe got the wrong bag which doesn't help lol... must be comfortable stroller though as Bree sleeps well in it...

next nappy change cut the nappy open, you should be able to tell by the filling in there if there has been wees.

Just put a terry nappy on, you'll soon find out lol. Actually I've been using that pack of Poise pads I bought "just in case" as boosters in Jim's nappy. Boy they really contain the wee!
Jim just rolled over twice in the little baby bath, it was so exciting :-D

GG uses disposables, thats why i suggest to cut it open if unsure if any wees
