Not with the times today! DD is going much better, came home yesterday and it was such a relief. I have given up on bf, but tonight she was grouchy and latched on and sucked for dear life. Maybe ill give it another shot? My boobs are like melons and so hard...well before she had a good suck anyhow!

Hows Hattie going? Are you home now?

I recon give it your best shot you need to really know you tried I found knowing that I tried my hardest and had no other options helped me come to terms with it when I rely upset about not bf him but its entirely up to you sometimes ff is just awesome an convenient

Hattie is well we have her 1week checkup today we got home on Sunday the only issue is she screams from 8-12 every night so we are just exhausted and no rest during day cause we have ds to look after

This is definitely making me have second thoughts about a third child lol

Our witching period is 10pm to 2am. So draining as that's when I'm totally sleepy and frustrated. Nothing we do settles her, dummy gets spat, and I lose the plot lol
We have a check up in 2 weeks. This week I have lots of nurses come to me. Yesterday I had Monash Children's come (due to her being in SCN), today I have EPC for me and Friday we have MCHN, Saturday Monash children's is back again!
Yesterday she was weighed and only 20g off birth weight

Had 2 week mchn yesterday, Miss A is now 3.6kg, 50cm long and 35.5cm head. Sadly last night infectious diseases requested we go to Emergency as she has something yet again, and we are still here. IV cannula in her hand and blood tests taken

Ouch, mastitis?? Sounds like Hattie is loving mummy milk and going well.

Had to stop bf due to the AB I was on and even more so with the super strong AB I'm on now. Whilst I hate I now ff, I need to do what's best for both our health. She's thriving and that's all I can ask for.

We have now been discharged from hospital, was only in short stay unit overnight. Feeling sad that she's spent 8 of her 16 days on earth, in hospital. Hasn't been the best welcome to the world

I should join in the May babies...

Rosetti - I'm sorry DD was in hospital again. I hope thats the last of it for you guys.

Jelly - Whats got you feeling nervous about bf? Sounds like your doing a great job. Ouch about the sore boob though. Have you spoken to a LC about your anxiety? I'm just wondering whats behind it.

DS is now 6 days old. He's pretty amazing. He has had a bit of wind at night, but I've got him on the infants friend and its helping. He is just fitting to our family perfectly. His older brothers love him to pieces.
