Oh my goodness dh and I only got 2 hrs sleep last night poor dd had pains I think it was the chocolate I ate
BMW: ATM I think it's mostly hormones at play because I get anxious and nauseous during bf ill just leave it until at least 6-8 weeks and hope I feel better after the hormones settle a bit
Discovering that dd sleeps better on her side but I'm too paranoid to let her sleep on her side at night unsupervised interestingly also prefers her hands out so she can sleep with them on her face like when she was inside

I might be dog tired but im enjoying watching dd learning to smile so cute
I have been meaning to come say hi in here but the days just fly by at the moment.
Jelly, that is exciting that smiles are starting. I sit with DS snuggled into me so often and I know I should put him down so I can sleep too but it is hard. I love the snuggles to much.
We are all going great. DS and I have a great pattern happening. He gets wind pretty bad, all my babies have.
Hi may mumma's!
I'm with you Kazzo the days are just flying by!
DD is doing well, I'm not complaining as it appears she got her dads love of sleeping! We have been lucky to get 5-7hour blocks at night.
Feeding is a different matter! Mainly BM, but having to top up with formula as after 2 hours BF she still is hungry. My supply has been all over the place and working itself out.
Will go to a lactation consult this week to try to work out if we can make feeds shorter and supply more.
Otherwise we almost forget DD is here! She's a very chilled bubs!
Kazzo I wish she would let me put her down its either cuddles or screaming ATM lol little bossy boots she is both mine have been windy although dd more so especially if I have milk or chocolate
Mlr lucky thing I only get 5 hrs in middle of day grr why can't she do it at night lol hope your supply sorts out soon must be frustrating
I get 3-4 hours between feeds day time and 5-7 hours over night
We are 3-4 hrs during day and then from 4pm - 10pm its every hr or half hr and then back to 3-4hrs
Grr heard dd cry out to find ds leaning on her rocker trying to poke her with crayons
Just wanted to say a quick hi and announce myself and my little new man (Dane Jonas Alfred).
Born in Stockholm on May 22, at home in water after a fast two hour labour. The first I wasn't sure whether it was the real thing.
Things are understandably busy was comparatively quiet the third time around...
Tanya - Welcome again to you and Dane. How are his siblings going with their new brother? What age are they?
All good here, Miss A now weighs 3.8kg and 50.8cm. And 1 month old today!
I just want to do a happy dance this morning. I took Owen to the chiro on Thursday and he noted that his neck was stiff and his left shoulder was out. The shoulder makes complete sense because he's scream every time he was put in the car. His shoulder was adjusted and we went home. Thursday he was fine, but friday, saturday and sunday night we couldn't put him down. He'd go to sleep but within 10 minutes he'd be grunting and pulling his legs up and he'd wake up. He was also a bit refluxy. So obviously something had changed. I took him back to the chiro yesterday and he checked him out and his neck was still out and because of the shoulder adjustment it was now causing issues. The chiro is such a lovely man and he said if he was unsettled last night to bring him back today for no charge and for the next 2 weeks he'd only charge half price because he'd told me he wouldn't need any more appointments.
So my happy dance is because Owen slept 5 hours last nigh! we'd gone from being lucky to get an hour out of him sleeping in his bounce being rocked to 5 hours. Yes it was 7-12, but he still did it. Then he woke at 3.30 but his bed was freezing so I brought him into bed with me for some cuddles and he slept until 6. I'm so happy with that.
Sorry for my little brag. I'm just so happy that he's a bit more settled again. He's so chilled out but because he wasn't getting any sleep he wasn't so chilled.
Gee maybe I should take Hattie to chiro
Jelly - I love my baby chiro, but I don't think he fixes everything. With DS2 he had regular appointments but he still never slept any better. Thats just the type of baby he was. I think Owen is a much more settled baby compared to DS2. I only took Owen because I know a quick labour can sometimes put their necks out. Plus he was posterior, which is what caused the shoulder. Owen did not have anything noticeable wrong, but I wanted him checked out. If you can find a reputable pead chiro then I don't see anything wrong with getting them checked out. Some people don't agree with what they do, but my chiro will only do an adjustment on my babies after doing it to me first and asking if I was happy for him to do it.
Hi Everyone,
Subbing into this thread... I will be back later to catch up. From what I quickly read sounds like everyone is plodding along pretty well which is good to hear. Our baby is going really well, she is such a little sweetie and this mama is deeply in love all over again!! I have been staying my room feeding her, watching her and sleeping and reading while the world goes on around me. Our community is amazing, feeding us and coming and helping hubby with the house all so this mama can take time to be with her baby!!! She is sleeping really well in between feeds and overnight as well, I have really cut out so much food and eating very plain healthy meals so no wind just yet. I will start adding things back in later next week to see how this affects her.
Anyway better run, going to make myself some breakky before next feed time.
Have a great day!!!
hi all,
little Dane is 6 days old - hard to believe that tomorrow he will be a week - ONE WEEK - old !! time is flying already.
unfortunately the work handover was never completed, so i found myself in a frigging work tele-conference meeting today at 10am. it is partially my own doing (+ also circumstances beyond my control, given that my kids were sick when the previous meeting was scheduled a few weeks ago, so i had to cancel). things are a bit messy and i am trying to sort them out (despite baby brain). stuff i had done back in December that i can no longer find.... blah blah blah.
it's just upsetting that it's hanging over my head. i'm feeling like things could get nasty at any time (from my boss or customer), and i'm trying to keep everyone happy, except myself.
on the family front, things are just wonderful. hubby is home (until august!) and we are having a cosy time. At night we sit up, sleep deprived and chat and chat (which we never had time for before, as we were stressed with work/study). During the day, it's quite often just the two of us and baby, whilst the older two boys (ages 2&4) are at preschool part-time. thank GOD for preschool, it means we get to have a sleep during the day, as bubba loves to party at night. He has been sleeping all day today and i know there is a chance i am going to regret not sleeping more today (instead of working... grrrr).
Hubby has just gone to pick the boys up from preschool and we're now off to the park for a little picnic. bliss!!
have a great week everyone
ps - Dane's umbilical cord fell off today (day 6). woot! now we can have baths with all 3 boys :-))
