    Bwahahahahaahahahaha!

Alex hadn't pooed all day thus far, usually he's like clockwork with one around 9-10am, one before his afternoon sleep at around 3pm and another just before bed. Daddy got home from work and Alex was having a snuggle on his lap....and just did a really big squirty poo

Danni, she cluster feeds in the arvo sometimes, not always though... And I've started giving her a bath every night, wrapping her, feeding her then trying to settle- rocking/ patting/ etc etc... She just seems completely determined to stay awake and if she feels herself drifting to sleep she seems to force herself to wake up! Amazing really!!

Lolpigs, poor thing, I know it must be mentally very difficult to get past the BFding when people aren't supportive- but just remember, that nurse for example hasn't spent time with you and Lilly, and doesn't know what you went through and how much better she feels on formula.. Definitely hasn't been a waste, the last 8 weeks, Lilly wouldve got sooo many good nutrients and immunity from those 8 weeks! You are doing 100% the right thing by your baby by choosing the feeding method that makes her the happiest!!! Your being a fantastic mum and choosing your baby's happiness as a priority and that's the best thing you can do!

Thanks girls, I thought the same thing re trying to top her up with formula too- so I'm glad you shared my thoughts!!!

CK is it you who has the breeze baby sling? I bought one today- the instructions are really confusing!!!

Nikky awwwwwww your girls are so beautiful those eyelashes really are gorgeous!

Yeah the instructions in the pack aren't that flash - search youtube for some ring sling videos, much easier!

I'm getting hubby to move bubs cot into our room, I slept on her floor last night and found I've not been sleeping well since she hasnt been with me. Once she wakes from her day sleep I'll sort it. Already moved the bed and changed the sheets in preperation.

Hope everyone is having a good day! I've found miss lilly insists on dummy during the day but not at night, isnt that strange. Funny pet nothing will soothe her during the day except for sucking. When she wakes after 45mins now I just wait to see if she goes to sleep, and if not and starts to cry I go up and resettle. Makes SUCH a difference to her mood If I can get her another hour or so of sleep.

She seems to be getting better at her day sleeps, still waking but not as hard to resettle her. All that shush patting in the cot and stuff dosent work with her, she likes to suck to sleep. At night she will drift off on her own however, so I'm trying to get better at seeing her tired signs so I can put her to bed earlier.

Hmm I've noticed I'm very anxious and started to have an upset stomach alot and having a little difficulty getting to sleep. Hopefully it will pass soon? I think it is becuase of the stress of the last 8 weeks, suddenly it is all gone and my body is trying to process everything.

Lilly is an angel now, she had big sleeps today and moving her cot was the best thing ever becuase our room is alot darker, shes just had her baba (bottle) bath and now shes back in bed! Stopping the BF has been the best thing ever for her.

Now its time to try and destress and work on me I think. Hopefully it will just get better from now on.

Nikky your babies are booootiful!!!! Abby is my first baby with the almost black hair, my two boys had dark hair but not as dark. Abby I think is going to have blue eyes, there not changing colour and hubby has blue eyes where as mine are brown.

Abby is such a good lil munchkin she has spent a couple of hours playing on her playmat this morning plus about the last 45mins she has been kicking away too. She had a few hours good sleep in the swing before lunch so I could get the house all cleaned and sorted. Funnily enough we are struggling with getting DS2 to sleep during the day ATM grrrrrrrr lil bugger!! Abby has been sleeping till between 7:30-8:30am each morning for the last three days, so we're down to only 5 feeds a day ATM - that's after her 10pm dreamfeed.
Just got my new baby/toddler recipe book ( annabel karmel's new and complete baby and toddler meal planner) it's great, bought it through mothers direct from the ABA online store. It has full introducing and weaning advice and goes through the nutrients baby needs from there food with over 200 recipes and a bit of a meal planner too

I like making my own baby food but always struggle with different combinations for bub so this is great. It goes into all the foods and when it's ok to introduce different things and for what reason. It's so darn hard finding a book of this quality in a book store for baby recipe's.
We are going away for about a month in April but it's about the time Abby would be starting to move to solids not quite sure what we'll do there TBH!!

Lolpigs so happy to hear you are doing better. It can be so hard at times being a mum and knowing what's the best path to take. A good friend of mine has often said to me it's what works for you that matters not what others say you should be doing.

Well DD is off with Grandma and Grandad to Albany for 2 weeks, then here for the weekend and by then it'll be nearly time for school to go back. Goodness time flies, I'm feeling a little mean by actually being happy to have a break for a bit from having to try and entertain her without letting her spend too much time in front of the TV.

Alex is cruising along, he's grabbing at his toys more reliably now and even starting to get hold of them and wave them about, he talks to them a lot too which is super cute. I'm planning on starting to go for walks with the pram after his morning feeds so I can lose a little weight and get fitter - though I bought some pants this morning which were a size smaller than before I fell pregnant, so go me!

Good to hear Lilly is settling better for you Lolpigs, as hard as it is seems she's quite a determined little miss.

Your DS2 is a bit over 3 isn't he Danni? Could he be ready to drop the day sleep, or is he really feral if he does?

ohhh I just ordered that from the book depository Dannii! thanks for that

yay LOL that she is sleeping better for you!!!

Now that she is sleeping, means you can sleep and you will def notice a change in how you are feeling! God knows when you don't sleep EVERYTHING is horrible!

So I hope you get lots of snooze time and start to feel better about everything gorgeous girl xxx

Well, the movies this morning with Harriett was amusing. The movie was horrid! but she LOVED getting up onto the stage part and dancing! I just let her go for it as there was only a couple of other people in the cinema hehe

So glad her dance lessons start soon! she has some moves on her! I bought her a lil black leotard and skirt today hehehe she look so darn cute in it! also bought Zoe a pair of swimmers as I wanna start swimming lessons/fun play with her in the next couple of weeks

Things are go go go atm!

Hope you are all going well xx

Heheheheh Nikky, my DD was pestering me to take her to see that one but I am refusing! Took her to see Puss in Boots instead, might go see Tintin with DH at some point. Sad to say, kids taste in movies doesn't really improve much until a lot later I think...

    Your welcome Nikky

CK yeh I think he's ready to drop the daytime sleep much to my disapprovement LOL. He's been my shocking sleeper since a young baby, he's only started sleeping all night in the last 5ish months.

First full day using MCN's too and we didn't get any leaks hehehe.. I'm going huggies overnight cos they keep her dryer longer as she's been sleeping a good 10hrs at night the last few nights. Love the Itti bitti tutto's for ease of all snaps - you'll see what I mean when you get your's CK and I just chucked them all in the wash tonight when I pulled the last one off her for the day... Easy as!! I just had to pad them up by using all the soaker pads that way there were no gaps around her legs.

Hope everyone is doing well. I've also noticed she is a clean freak and will wake with wet or dirty nappies 30mins into a sleep cycle even if I put her down in a clean one. Hope that improves. I'm still on edge but I'm hoping that will disapate. When she cries I jump still I'm guessing that is becuase of the stress of the colic.

Always the way isn't it? I'm hoping to get one done for Alex somewhere between 3-4 months or so as I think it's a really cute age. Though from the pic below, he's pretty darn cute already

We have violet's vaccines today- soooo not looking forward to it...

Have discovered little miss isn't happy on your lap on the couch- she wants to be walked around the house!
