Yeah I got an Amber bracelet for her but its too big Her arms and legs are too tiny and it just falls off.
Thats so cute CK When I read to Lilly she tries to touch the picutres. Lilly had a weird night, she was all wet when I went to bed at 10pm so had to strip everything including the bed and it woke her up, then I realised I didn't have any wraps dry so she was in the gro bag but that took her forever to get to sleep even with the dummy as I think she kept waking herself which means she will be wrapped while rolling around becuase she can't sleep, then she was up at 2am then 6am.. funny thing was at 6am she just drifted in and out of sleep like napping till about 7:15 when I got her up.
Just now she slept from 8:30 - 10:30am and spent 30 mins or so napping and practising rolling. She dosent seem to cry for me much during the day, even for feeds now so I have to guess she is hungry little pest! Was cute watching her practise her rolling though
I'm still expecting her to cry when she needs me, perhaps she thinks I'll just know now? Like during her morning nap I heard her do a poo, but she didnt cry out for me she just dozed off again.
I know she is done with her nap now beucase when I go over to see her I get a huge smile. Seems she likes some practise time for whatever before I get her up after her sleeps hehe
Shes a funny chicken my one. My boobs are really sore today. I had to massage some sore spots and get the milk out today. The CHN rekons that it would only take a few days for the milk to stop. So much for that!
What a funny little Miss I'm guessing she's not crying as much because you're starting to anticipate her needs and she trusts that you'll fix whatever's bothering her soon enough. Alex is the same, he hardly ever cries but does let me know what he wants in other ways - grunts and wriggles and so on. He also likes a bit of time before getting up to lay in his cot looking around, sucking his hands and waving his feet in the air. Then he calls out when he's ready to get up. And yes, the huge smile when I go to get him - so cute
I love the morning smiles . Abby chatters away for sometimes half an hour before I raise my head in the morning. Abby fed at 10pm then woke around 7am for a feed, stayed awake and played on the mat for a couple of hours and is now back in bed. I find she doesn't cry much either there is always someone around to keep her company when she needs it.
Oh except when its time for car seat.. its calamity stations on red alert then LOL
Hmm should I be worried? DD seems to prefer sleeping on her stomach :S Atm I have a compromise position of her half on her side and half on her tummy but I can see it going the full way when she has more manuverability. Her head is turned to her side not face down here so at least that is something.
She does roll onto her back but I find latley has been spending lots of time trying to roll in this direction instead.
Here is a picture of her asleep, I check her all the time when I'm awake, but my worry is when I fall asleep at night. Hubby says sometimes I get up and check her multiple times in my sleep and I dont even know I'm doing it LOL.
Funny thing is I used to sleep like this when I was younger, just not this young! It is impossible to get her to settle on her back now.
I've had a grumpy pants on my hands today, doesn't want me to put her down!!
Lolpigs, I think I need to get violet the next size in dummies too! They're falling out of her mouth easily, the newborn ones... Did you buy 3-6 months size?
Violet has a rash on her face like tiny red dots.. Dr thought it was eczema but I'm not sure.. It's behind her ears and under her chin too.. Danni, is that similar to what Abby had that time?
Went to target yesterday and spent too much on cute outfits hehe.
Mollie, yeah I'd have been an absolute mess too... What an ordeal. Did your dr prescribe you antibiotics that were breastfeeding safe? Might be worth giving them

Ck, She gets all funny as soon as I put her in, but dosent start to cry till she has been in the seat for a few mintues, well after I do the seat belt. I've checked to make sure its not twisted or anything and its not too tight.
I have a meridian AHR tilt and adjust, I notice that she gets quite hot in there? The newborn padding seems quite warm however when she cries alot she sweats alot too.
No mirror, should I look for something to clip onto the seat to keep her occupied? Feel like such a noob with this stuff!

Yeah they were safe while breastfeeding.. The funny thing was they didnt really agree with me either, I had the runs and felt worse been on them! Thank god I am never sick
Well Dh and I had an exciting day, we got a newcar. Its second hand but in imaculate condition! A lovely dark blue nissan x trail I pick it up monday.
Yeah the meridians do get quite hot even with the a/c full blast - Alex gets all sweaty after a long trip in his too. I do tend to have just in a onesy if I know we're going to be in the car a lot. The mirror I have on the headrest above him angled so he can see me and I can check on him. Originally I got it because of his being a spewer, I wanted to know if he was covered in it well before we got to where ever we were going, but he likes it as well because I think it's a bit boring and lonely in the back otherwise, staring at the back of the seat. The other possibility if she protests more as you start the car moving would be her getting motion sickness but not sure what you'd do about that.
Ck that's awesome, I didn't even realize those mirror things existed! That's awesome cos at the moment I insist upon DH driving while I sit in the back of the car with violet or if I am driving I get my sister / a friend / mum or whoever is with me to sit in the back with her cos I get anxious that with all the padding in her car seat (she has the meridian as well and yes, always gets sweaty!) that she will turn her head to the side or something while sleeping (SIDS risk etc, yes I am a tad paranoid!!!) so having a mirror would mean I wouldn't be so scared driving with just her and I in the car! Where did you get yours from? Yay!!!!! So buying one!
Yeah I dont know what is going on, I will try the mirror and if it still persists I am guessing it must be motion sickness, not sure what I can do about that one either. Sometimes she will stop crying when the car is moving then start crying when we stop too.. so hard to figure my little chicken out!

Awwww cute. Mine is a pretty basic boring old plain one I picked up at a baby shop, most places have them and sometimes you can find them at target/k-mart/big w as well.
If she stops crying sometimes then starts when you stop I'd be more inclined to think boredom than motion sickness. Fingers crossed at least!
Re baby's in car seats, I have toys hanging off the headrest so levi has something to look at. I also have tucked teddies in the foot of the car seat so they can see them (I'll take a pic tomorrow).
It's been warm here (muggy more so), I've been giving Levi lots of space so he doesn't over heat. He's learnt to grab with his left hand and also try's to sit forwards in the rocker (hasn't got there yet). He's also got great head strength now. Hates tummy time but I'm going to start putting him on his back instead, so he can learn rolling and not just lay there protesting lol.
I have had my arm splashed with pee but not been wee'd on.
I went crazy in the target sale and a few online sales. Poor bank balance is suffering.
I don't seem to have any trouble with Abby in the car yet. She's normally happy and loves the movement of the car and always sleeps most of the time in there.
O. M. G. My friend from work just fixed Lilly's Day sleeps. I cannot believe it.
It will take some time for her to sleep through, but it was wrapping that did the trick. She needed to be more restricted, and she suggested using cot sheets instead as that is what Tresillian taught her to do to restrict her legs alot and wrap her with her arms up.
She woke and grizzled but settled again and its actually restful sleep, she isn't moving or anything.
I'm also getting a private settling class at home tomorrow, bit exxy but worth it. Lilly is getting overwraught with tiredness and I need to get her help. I've tried the public sysetm but they wont give me a referal to Tresillian and they just want me to keep on going with what we are going.
I don't wrap Abby at all, I place her in her bassinet and just tuck her light blanket in so her legs are under but her arms are out.
I also find because Abby sleeps generally around 9 hrs overnight she will have maybe 1-2 20min cat naps through the morning then after lunch she has a good couple of hours then a 20min or so cat nap again before dinner time. Then she has a bath around 6ish, feed around 7pm then she will drift off to sleep around 8-9pm then I wake for the dreamfeed at 10pm and put her straight back to bed whether she is asleep or awake. I find because the room is black she will go to sleep on her own pretty much every night.
I had DS2 sleeping all night from a young age but wasn't sleeping well during the day and I mucked with it and he stopped sleeping well at night then. He only started sleeping well at night 6ish months ago. IMO I don't enforce to much sleep of a day but that's me and what I find works for us.
I've also noticed with Abby that she gets overstimulated quite quick and if she's fussing and I know she's not hungry but is tired and won't settle with me I will put her down into bed and pop the dummy in and pretty much everytime she will settle on her own - even if it is only for 20 mins, sometimes that's all they need to recharge the energizer batteries.
You also have to remember babies are all different and they have differing sleep requirements just like you or me, it's a matter of finding the one that suits you and the baby.
I got pooped on today up near my chest ewwwww!! DS1 had a good ole laugh at my expense..
Abby hadn't pooped for a coupe days then she did one yesterday, was fine and then the one this morning come up the front of the nappy and the way I was holding her it just covered me LOL
Yeah I wouldnt get her to sleep either, except she is miserable overtired and not happy becuase she isn't sleeping. If she sleeps she is like a different kid. 20mins isnt enough for her, unless she has at least 3 good 2 hours sleeps during the day at least she is just miserable. It is why I think I have to do something. If she was happy all day and wasnt sleeping much I wouldn't be bothered. Screamed a bunch tonight becuase she was so tired and couldnt settle it's like she cant turn her brain off or something.
Lilly dosent sleep all night, just from about 7 - 2am which is her main sleep then every few hours she wakes after that.
LOL at the poop I find Lilly waits till I change her then I have to play catch the poop alot !

I've never wrapped Alex either, he doesn't like it at all. Won't take a dummy either. He has his little rituals which usually involve a short top-up feed and a cuddle for day sleeps and then likes his shower, feed and story for night time. We were out last night so he didn't get his shower or story before bedtime and made me pay for it by waking 3 times when he'd normally only wake the once for a feed. His day routine is becoming quite predictable though - he'll feed, have about an hour's awake/play time and then start rubbing his eyes/yawning, so I give him little feed and cuddle him to sleep and he has a nap. Will usually have a couple of 40 minute naps and a couple of longer 2+ hour sleeps during the day.
Gave him a bath tonight, which he loved even though he's way too long for his baby bath - he can't kick his legs without clonking his head on the other end. Thinking I might need to go to Bunnings and get one of those gardening cushion things so I can put him in the big bath without killing my knees, as our bath is too small for me to sit in comfortably.
