    Yeah thats it Dannim.

LOL i have to loose weight too. I still carrying some baby weight. Just calorie count, I Pm'd you how I lost a bunch of weight (and then found out I was pregnant HA)

Edit: Posted here too if anyone is interested.

Whatever your starting calories, take off 200 cal per week. Maintain this while ever you continue to loose weight. Once you platu redo your calorie as per below, and take another 200 cal off etc etc Be careful not to take off too many calories or it will have the opposite affect on your weight loss.

And here is how you work out the calories intake.

"To work out approximately how many daily Calories you need, you have to calculate your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) and then multiple it by a factor that best represents your usual Physical Activity Level (PAL). These equations are provided below.
The Harris Benedict equation is a mathematical formula used to estimate BMR. That is, the amount of energy, measured in Calories, your body needs to just keep it ticking over - like the fuel a car needs to keep it idling all day, i.e. the engine is turned on, but you are not going anywhere.
You need a certain amount of Calories to keep your body idling, plus you need more fuel to power it for the activities undertaken during the day. This is called the PAL. The amount of fuel your body needs depends on how hard you drive it, just like it does with a car. If you exercise all day you need a lot more fuel (measured in Calories) compared to staying in bed all day, or veging out in front of TV.
To lose weight, you have to work out how many Calories you need on an average day, and then subtract 500 Calories from that total to lose 0.5kg over a week. To lose a kilogram in a week, you subtract 1000 Calories per day.
On the Biggest Loser they greatly increase their physical activity levels to burn off greater amounts of Calories and therefore can lose bigger amounts of weight.
Total daily Calories per day = BMR x PAL.
    The Harris Benedict Equations for calculating you Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) is;
    Women: BMR = 655 + ( 9.6 x weight in kilos ) + ( 1.8 x height in cm ) - ( 4.7 x age in years )
    Men: BMR = 66 + ( 13.7 x weight in kilos ) + ( 5 x height in cm ) - ( 6.8 x age in years )
To estimate your total daily Calorie needs (BMR x PAL), choose the PAL from the list below that best represent your usual activity level and multiply it by your BMR.
For your Physical Activity Levels (PAL):
1.2 = sedentary and you do little or no exercise
    1.375 = lightly exercise or sport 1-3 days/week
1.55 = moderately active with exercise or sport 3-5 days/week
1.725 = Very active with hard exercise or sport 6-7 days a week
1.9 = extremely active with very hard exercise or sport and a physically active job or training twice a day
    "

Yeah I'll keep you posted Danni! I reckon if you do it part time it's be fine! What are you thinking of studying? What were you getting your laptop fixed for? I just broke my screen and am hoping I can get it fixed rather than replacing it!

Nikky, I just pushed the screen back but pushed too hard with my thumb on the glass- so mad, especially cos I need it for uni soon!!! Very mad!

Lolpigs, OMG!! I was only saying the other day I wanted to learn to bake and decorate. I'm going to start with cakes and work to decorating lol.

I don't know how long I can keep Levi off food, he's mouthing, salivating and reaching for food.

Baking is the best, decorating takes patience and time, but once you learn the techniques all it takes is practise Let me know if you need any help at all, I will help you however I can.

Hmm, what about giving him something else to gnaw on, perhaps something cold for his teeth, or a dummy?

    Z is just beautiful Nikky

Mmmm, baking is awesome fun - I tend to go more for biscuits, cakes and things rather than cupcakes I guess, but still...fun.

Oh I do cakes too they are just more time consuming. Would anyone like a red velvet cake recipie? Its so good...

Cupcakes are easier decoration wise and design wise but cakes can be spectacular

Mmmm, I'd love to get into decorating. Mine are mostly tasty but normal looking. I've got a few different red velvet recipes, yet to try it though. Made an awesome chocolate ganache and cherry tart for Chrissie

Lolpigs, I'd love your recipe, I'll try anything once and hubby was more than happy when I told him
I was going to try cakes and decorating lol.

Levi has a dummy, I have a feeling he will be ready for food right on if not before 4 months.

Oooooo lolpigs can you send me that recipe too sounds very yummy!!!

AM got this awesome baby and toddler recipe book off Mothers Direct has heaps of combo's and basically guides you every step through to 12+ months for food for babies along with a meal planner. I'll get the name for it if your interested? She also says in the book babies digestion isn't ready till 17 weeks which is pretty much 4 months anyway - can you believe it's only really another 6 weeks till then!
I'm thinking I will be holding off till closer to 6 months, just can't imagine Abby will be ready anytime soon. It's weird cos both boys were on solids from 4 months, maybe boys are just ready earlier and hungrier little beings!

Nikky - Zoe is so gorgeous!!

Amanda my screen just went black one day just before Xmas. Who did you buy it off? As we got mine at Harvey Norman nearly 3 yr ago but I got it with extended warranty so it's being repaired under that or you could get it done also under your insurance as well so check that out.
Thinking of doing Midwifery, I said just after I had DS1 I wanted to but just never did. DH isn't too keen on me doing it cos of shift work but we will cross that discussion again when it arises, gotta get through the degree first hey!? My biggest issue is being able to find a uni that I can do it externally through. Lots to think about, I need to make sure it's what I really want, don't want to start something that I don't follow through with.

    Sure guys here you go

    Serves 16

    Ready in 2½ hours
    Ingredients

    For the cake

    250g good-quality dark chocolate
    3 medium free-range eggs
    250g light muscovado sugar
1 vanilla pod, cut in half lengthways and seeds scraped out
    2 tbsp maple syrup
    2 tbsp clear honey
    40g self-raising flour
    40g plain flour
    ¼ tsp bicarbonate of soda
    ¼ tsp salt
    25g cocoa powder
    50g ground almonds
250g raw beetroot, peeled and finely grated
    100ml strong black coffee
    30ml sunflower oil
    1/2 Bottle Red Food Colouring

    For the topping

    150g good-quality dark chocolate
    3 tbsp strong black coffee
    1 tsp vanilla essence
    3 tbsp clear honey

    Alternative Topping

    250g Packet Cream Cheese
    4 Tablespoons Icing Sugar
    2 Teaspoons Grated Lemon Rind

    Method

Preheat a conventional oven to 160ºC, or a fan-assisted one to 140ºC. With the help of a brush and a tiny bit of sunflower oil, grease the surface of a round 20cm diameter by 8cm high loose-bottomed tin and set aside.

Melt the chocolate gently in a bowl over a pan of simmering water until all dissolved, then set aside to cool.

In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar, the scraped-out vanilla seeds, the maple syrup and the honey for three minutes with an electric hand whisk until pale and quite fluffy.

Gently fold in the flours, bicarbonate of soda, salt, cocoa and ground almonds until fully incorporated.

Using some kitchen paper, dab the grated beetroot thoroughly to remove some of the excess moisture. Fold in the beetroot, cooled chocolate, food colouring, coffee and oil with the help of a spatula until thoroughly mixed together.

Pour the mixture into the prepared tin and cook in the middle of the oven for 1 hour 30 minutes. After this time, cover the cake with foil and bake for another 30 minutes.

Test the cake by inserting a skewer into the centre to see if it comes out clean (although this cake is so moist that even when the cake is fully cooked, the skewer comes out looking slightly messy). Leave to cool on a wire rack.

    Icing:

To make the fudge topping, melt the chocolate gently in a bowl over a pan of simmering water, then remove from the heat and add the coffee and the vanilla essence.

At this stage the chocolate will seize up slightly, but it will relax back once you add the honey and gently mix in.

Set aside to cool for 15 minutes before icing the cake. Cut the cake through the middle and ice it in the centre and on all sides.

    Alternative Icing:

Sift icing sugar and lemon rind into cream cheese. Beat until combined and fluffy.

Decorate the top with whatever you fancy, but I like using pink flowers, such as tulips or roses, which I plant into the cake with a bit of stem left on.

    Hope everyone is well.

Still baffeled a little by Lilly's behaviour in the mornings. Without fail she is awake at 6:30am, and is fussing. She isnt hungry, she is still really tired but is awake. I've tried getting her up to start the day, but only to have her really cranky and have to put her back to bed.

I've tried getting her up feeding her, but she refuses to eat, and I've tried just settling her in the cot without getting her up, but with dummy that only last an hour or so before she is fussing again.

Tomorrow I'm going to try getting her up, burping her and rewrapping to try and get her resettled.

Any suggestions? It's like shes tired but dosent know what to do with herself.

Excited, going up to Toukley tomorrow for the weekend with friends.

Ugh, I'm sick. Woke up and my nose is blocked/runny, throat is sore and I'm coughing. Feeling completely rotten, but also worried about Alex catching it. Alex on the other hand is full of beans after sleeping from 9pm to 6.30am with only the one wake up at 2.30am for a feed.

Going to be a long day
