Yup the $75 includes the tray as well CK, not just the seat. I believe the one at Big W is just the seat. I popped her in a friends one on holidays and she fit well
Alex just doesn't want to sleep anywhere except on me atm - think he's feeling a bit yukky again. It's a pain because I have a bunch of large pots that need washing and can't put him in a sling to do it due my clutziness and hot water being a bad combo. Plus my butt is going numb.
How much use/time do you reckon you'd get out of the bumbo??
CK Abby falls asleep like that on her play mat nearly daily, sometimes in the mornings she will play for hours on the mat then all of a sudden fall asleep but I have to be cautious DS2 isn't alone with her cos he's just a big goof!
Gotta get this extra weight off and me being impatient I'm thinking about trialing the herballife diet for a month to kick start me.
DH is on the look out for a new job in QLD while I've been researching buying a block of land and nice big new house to build . Kinda pretty excited to be moving back and being able to enjoy a nicer location and to be closer to family but still far enough away
I will get heaps of use out of it, DD hates lying down now, and it means I can stick her wherever I am when DH is back at work. You can pop them onto the bench while your cooking, you can use them in the shower or bath, you can use them as a highchair till they are old enough to sit up themselves, you can use them to keep bubs in one spot for 5 secs LOL You can use them from 3mths to whenever they are strong enough to put their feet on the ground and get out of it, but the tray can keep them in there haha. We had a 9mth old in it while we were away.
Just went on a bit of a shopping spree and put a bunch of winter clothes on layby at Big W - now just need to cross my fingers Mister Alex doesn't grow out of them before he gets to wear them...but should be ok, they're size 0 and he's only just in 00 now....DD was still in 0 at nearly 18 months old...but he's a lot bigger than she was. Boys clothes are so much fun too - got him the cutest little jeans, trackpants and hoodies
Got playgroup tomorrow and then baby rhyme session at our local library next week - should be fun.
So i was wondering, should I be taking violet to the doctor for any checkups other than the routine ones when she has her injections? Or is it enough to weigh her and make sure she's putting on weight etc?
I also wondered what everyone else does for play etc- we do tummy time, play mat, playing with her toys, reading, singing songs, playing music etc... Is there anything else that I should be doing to provide the best amount of stimulation etc that I can?
How's everyone's day been? Violet is three months today- its gone so fast!
I'd say just the ones in her book - general developmental check and make sure she's putting on weight. I don't even bother weighing Alex in between checkups generally, it's pretty easy to tell he's growing when I keep having to adjust the shoulder markers on his car-seat and buy new clothes for him
And that's about as much stimulation as I give Alex, other than going to playgroup and rhymes at the library. We'll start swimming soon, once he's old enough. But those are just as much for me as for him, means getting out of the house and meeting new people - get to talk to some adults for a change.
Thats about as much as I do with Lilly too, aside from play dates with a friend of mine that has a 2yr old and a 6mth old. Her 6mth old is facinated with Lilly.. Lilly still isnt that keen LOL
Sigh, shes started rolling on her side in her sleep again but wont sleep unwrapped. Be the death of me!
I haven't found a playgroup yet. I have a friend who comes around weekly, her little boy is 8 weeks older than Levi so we put them on the floor to look/play with each other and we chat for 4 hours lol.
Learnt baby massage today, Levi fell asleep after lol. Guess he likes it.
I also do sign language with Levi but at this stage he just watches me.
CK, thanks for the reassurance! I don't really need to weigh violet either really- she's constantly outgrowing everything too! Hahha. I'll have to get out the blue book and have a bit of a check at when the appointments are meant to be! I stupidly didnt realize they were written in there! Dopey mummy....
Lolpigs, awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!! She looks adorable in there playing with toys! So cute!! Can you buy the bumbo tray sepertely? I already have a bumbo but no tray!
I heard a saying today "my body is not ruined, I'm a tiger who earned my stripes" - I like it
We did kindergym this morning,it's awesome cos DS2 is at the age of doing his own thing while I can chat to other mummies. It's run by the local council indoors
Hi! We had our first good day on ages. She is so confusing. Previous night she was up every 2 hours and took ages to get to sleep, then she was up all day. Then last night only woke up 3am and today actually napped twice. A very rare occurrence. She even fell asleep after a feed in her bouncy chair. That has never happened. Oh well will see what tomorrow brings. It's such a rollercoaster.
I tried the bumbo in the shop with Jess and her head was moving all over the place. I was concerned so I asked the shop assistant and she said it's not meant to be used until they have full head control which comes between 4+ months. Can't remember when Julian did that. Can your babies support their heads yet?
I bought an ergo as my days without her sleeping were becoming desperate. How the heck do you do up the back holding baby? Tried doing it from the car dropping DS at preschool and he had to help me. Any tips would be appreciated!
