Well plain farex does taste like sawdust! Looks like it too, I wouldn't eat it. I use it for mixing with stuff like fruits and veggies - Alex had carrots today and kept grabbing the spoon to try and stuff more in We might move to 2 meals a day next week, probably lunch and dinner.

I got some calendula for the carpet burn today, he's getting better though! He can sort of combat crawl backwards, except that it annoys him because he was trying to go forwards! He does move a lot further now though, crosses the whole loungeroom.

Amelia is not crawling but she's attempting to and getting frustrated when she can't.

She can't sit up by herself yet unaided. However she loves to stand with me holding her. Her muscle tone is amazing as per the doctors.

The last time she was weighed, she was 5.5 Kgs, but I think she has had a growth spurt since. We will probably end up at the chemist today or early tomorrow morning.

We have a hospital physio playgroup just for premmies on Thursday (tomorrow) and I'm so nervous. Even though these people weren't in my due date group, I formed a close bond with them because we were in NICU for so long watching our babies fight for life. Cheering each others on and hoping they'd get off the tube feeds, ventilation, and out of incubators...

It's also the hospital I had Amelia in. It's going to bring back so many memories. Good and bad.

Anyway, Amelia has had tastes of solids, she usually has a couple of teaspoons at night plus her milk. Sometimes, when she has growth spurts she actually has more.

We've tried so far a mixture of pumpkin, celery and potato. And we've had apple and cinnamon, apple and mango, pear etc.

We have semi established a routine. Miss isn't a day sleeper, she catnaps. I'm trying to change that. She generally sleeps in 20 min blocks a few times a day. sleeping at night happens most nights, she has a 200ml bottle (her day feeds are 150ml) and usually solids before the bottle and sleeps from about 7.30pm until 4 or 5 am.

Ahh Aubree is commando crawling... Backwards lol. She gets so cranky with herself, but its pretty funny. Solids are still a bit hit and miss with Aubree, some days she loves them, and other days she would rather spit it out.

Sounds like everyone is doing well

Going to tempt the devil and talk about sleep - we'd always fed to sleep since birth, which worked well up until recently. Alex had started waking up about 30 mins after I'd put him down for a sleep because he'd realise he wasn't in my arms anymore and there wasn't a boob in his mouth. So the last couple of days I've been feeding him until he's drowsy but putting him down into his cot still awake. And it's working! He chatters and gurgles to himself for a few minutes and then drops off to sleep on his own and is sleeping longer - occasionally he wakes, has a mutter to himself then goes back to sleep

    Yikes Ck!

Lilly is working on sitting, shes almost got her balance, soon she will be able to sit on her own without pillows around her to stop her from bonking her head. I was so upset the other day she rolled off our change table. She fine luckily but has a bruise on her head Scared me half to death.

She is doing really well with her food and reflux now. No more meds, and 2 scoops of thickener in her milk. I have to watch some foods as they make her chucky but appart from that all good She has mastered her sippy cup as well so has a drink of water after each meal. She loves having toast soilders with daddy in the morning, she sucks them to bits. Her favs atm are vegemite and peanut butter.

She has had egg as well but that makes her a little gassy. Its hard when you can't make them soft boiled till they are older, as they go a bit rubbery and hard to eat but we get there. I mix it with a little forumla to make it more paste like.

Going to start with fish this week, but she just LOVES her food. She is doing well at night as well at night sleeping 12 hours. The food really helped her, she was waking at 3am hungry. Days are still hit and miss but I think that has alot to do with her development as well as the different foods.

Had a bad day yesturday over tired kid and over tired mum but I still love being at home with her. I've started my baking business again to make some cash on the side. Does anyone here have facebook? Let me know beucase I reactivated mine. I dont post as often here beucase I stopped getting email updates some time ago when someone posts, and I don't know why.

Hope everyone is doing well. Jan if you are still out there, I hope all is well with Jess.

We are buying a house out near penrith in the next few months and moving so thats exciting I grew up there so Lilly will go to my primary school.. naw. And we have decided to TTC once we are settled and finished moving. WEW!

Wow, sounds like Lilly is doing really well - glad that starting on food helped with the reflux. I've been giving Alex porridge in the mornings and he had baked beans for lunch yesterday. Might start him on some chicken or something soon too, he's going really well with his solids and really enjoys them. Have you tried scrambling some egg for her at all? I think that's our next breakfast adventure. Though I do need to buy some full fat milk to cook with for him as we normally use low-fat.

I do have fb, C laire A twell and I'm the one with Alex tucked into a green ring sling (apparently there's a few people out there with the same name)

I have to give her an empty one every time he uses one becuase she gets so upset , it is super cute watching her immatate him. She does love her daddy.

Bugger...that's who that random friend request was from Having trouble finding you again, can you resend?

Monkeyboy has taken to tummy/side sleeping. I try not to let him do it for night time sleeps (and he's usually fed to sleep anyway) but for daytime sleeps I'm not sure whether to roll him over or just leave him be?

Weetbix and peaches for breakfast this morning, leftover lamb shank casserole for lunch - wolfed both of them down. Next week I might go to 3. He's also not having it mashed as finely, so it's quite lumpy. Watching him chew and smack his little lips is so funny

Oh and happy half-birthday to Lilly!
