Few orange inmates around here...... someone, noooo idea who, Rak'd me, giving me 5 years plat which made me life?! I have no idea who would RAK me.

Had a trip from hell getting home yesterday, Lu needed to wee and Sas had just fallen asleep in my arms, so a nice hostess offered to take her. She took her, put her in the toilet and closed the door behind her, the lights only come on when you lock the door, so she freaked out and wet herself. Then S head butted me while dancing and gave me a fat lip! We got delayed and ended up at port moresby airport for 6 and a half hours. Nothing to do, too dangerous to go anywhere, a few dried bickies, and drinks fortunately. We got home 21 hours after leaving mum's place! Lots of sleeping today.

DH just got home, better go! xx

hi girls, typing one handed so excuse my bad english, little gorgeous bub on the boob.

Cass - What did the parents say to his behaviour. my social life is better with kids too, love play dates with my mummy friends.

jm - glad you are home safely to hubby. why is it dangerous to go anywhere, is png dangerous, sorry no idea about png!!!1

i have a dilemma girls, what does oral thrush look like. e has a very white tongue, like the guy from kiss, its extreme! its also on the inside of her lips and wont budge. she doesnt seem fussed though. also i fed her last night and my nipples were just burning. this morn i notice my nipples both have a slight, raised white rash thing in the join between the actual nipple and areola. its only small, but if i look closely its there and normally isnt. so tried to get a gp appt tomorrow but no go all busy. im off to the chemist now, but i guess im just wondering if i can do anything else

Sounds suspiciously like thrush....... You can get over the counter meds at pharmacy, but I ended up needing prescription meds to clear mine up.

Yeah, dangerous country, I read an article that rated port moresby as the second most dangerous city in the world?!

JM, OMG that trip sounds like hell! I just hate the thought of traveling any distance with small kids. I am still traumatised by the time it took us over 5 hours to do a 2 hour car drive, don't think I could handle 21 hours!

Isadora, that sounds like thrush to me. I hope the pharmacist was able to help you out.

Trill, how did A go at kindy today?

Ginger, how is L going at kindy? How many days is he going? I thought of you the other day - they did a car seat safety thing at kindy and had one of those H harness things. It seems really queer, but the seat just sits there, the H harness gets anchor bolted in and then the seatbelt threads through the harness and holds the seat in. I would rather have the seat anchored in than the harness, it looked like a crap system. I don't think that would fly in Australia.

Isadora it does sound like thrush. I think Nilstat (or something similar) is a highly recommended treatment. I hope you can get it sorted.

JM that trip sounds awful, glad your home now though.

Cass did you end up taking L to the Dr?

Pretty poo couple of days here. Skybie is one of my besties so as you can imagine its been a very sad few days. I will be coming to Melb next week but unfortunately wont be able to catch up. Will definitely be down in May though and cant wait to meet you all. I am exhausted, work is getting crazy busy which I knew would happen when I decided to slow down lol.

Oz, I didn't know the two of you knew each other IRL. It is just so sad what has happened and just not right

    Arte, he goes tomorrow

Isadora, just make sure that you give your boobs plenty of airing out too - moisture helps thrush so let them air dry really well before putting them away. Also it might be an idea to get some inner health plus or other probiotic to take too to help your gut on the inside - it will also pass through to bubs and help her gut flora as well.

I hope she's not being hard on herself Oz, I saw the thread she posted about her placenta slowing down the other day and I know if it were me going through this, I'd be running all the 'what ifs' through my mind and blaming myself for not forcing the issue.

Oz, I was thinking of you when I heard I hope she is doing alright. I also saw the placenta thread, I hope it wasn't something that could have been prevented - it sounded like the Drs were a bit casual about it

Trill, I thought yesterday was friday lol

PMSL Arte! I did the same thing about next week - I have to take Mum to an appt with her surgeon and I had it in my mind that I had to take A because DH was working, but when I actually bothered to look at the calendar I realised that he wasn't working at all.

JM, how long were you and DH planning on staying over there? I don't think you ever said? My SIL's DH used to go there a lot for work - he is a Drill rig sparky and does contract work in the mines but he hasn't been there for nearly 2 years now because he said the money was great but not nearly enough for all the worry you had to have.

So being Friday, I took A to preschool and then went down to my fave coffee shop for cake and coffee while I read the papers. Now I'm at the local library to try to get some study done while I wait for him to finish at 1pm.

Oz . Such a terrible thing to happen to anyone, and traumatic too for close friends and family. Thinking of you. xxx

JM, that sounds like an absolute shocker of a trip, but I suppose you just get on with what you have to, don't you?

Awww I want orange writing now. Seriously! Never thought about lifetiming it but Kelly has upped the ante with the pretty colour. I wanna be SPESHAL!!!

Little Jack actually had a heart condition and although things looked positive it seems his little heart just gave out. The slow placenta meant she was having monitoring though.

Oz, I knew he had the heart problem, but I didn't think that he wouldn't survive.

Oz - I have been thinking of you and Skybie. I dont know how someone could ever recover from such a loss, you would never be quite the same again I would say.

Thanks girls for the advice, it definately is thrush. I got the medications from the chemist so hopefully it clears up. I know now it started with me, putting on nipple cream after feeds, then nipples being put away, hot weather = perfect condition for candida! My poor bubba.

So if Oz is heading to Melb in May, I wonder if I could convince DH to let me go too for a catch up...

YES!!!!!! ohh that would be AWESOME!!!!

thanks girls for the support on the horror of dealing with that boy...i felt bad, but i will stand firm, i just dont want Leila having that sort of influence around IYKWIM. there's just nothing positive about it ITMS.

I am trying to convince myself to make an appt for L. she is so flat ATM; could be a number of things of course (started kindy, maybe a cold brewing etc), but i do need to alleviate my worries...that said, i dont want to talk about her in front of her: dont want her to think there is anything 'wrong' ITMS...how does one go about that in the GPs office??!
