Isadora, I guess as long as E is putting on weight and happy then it can't be too bad - it might just be a patch and she will come back to BF more soon xx You have done so well to stick it out with her. Re birthday parties, I don't think they need something every year. This year will be W's first party.
The storm hit last night, about a foot of snow and still falling. Bet the lady two houses down is a bit worried - she is due to have a baby today and the roads are blocked in all directions -she can't get out and the midwives can't get in!
Baby has gone posterior and suddenly I have a lot of sympathy for anyone who has had a posterior labour! My back aches! She is still a free agent and spins around constantly so hopefully she will shift soon.

isa- i wouldn't worry too much about E- as long as she is eating and drinking lots of water and you keep offering it to her i'm sure she will come back for more. i used to find the being revved up once the warmer weather hit as well. i have seen the oobi stuff but (luckily for me ) the boys stuff is so boring and crap!
trill- so glad you are loving it. bet you are tired though?

Isa: i would totally keep it low key for her birthday! all this organising that i am lumped with for this big party is doing my head in. but we never had a big party and the naming ceremony really is the hardest part to organise...argh! i need a party planner person hahaha!
that miss E will get back on that boob. has your AF returned yet? sometimes around AF they go off it for a bit...
G: i totally forgot to congratulate your DH on the job! that security during these tumultuous times will be a godsend for relieving financial worry etc. there might be some adjustment but in the medium term you guys will get used to it and it will all feel normal again soon enough. and then i guess when the markets start to come back again bit by bit, then he can look at doing his own stuff again ITMS.

MD: i will have a zero at the end soon enough...and that will mean that i can't rely on *youthfulness* to get away with looking scruffy lol. eyebrows are in serious need of attention.
Arte: M was posterior and floating the whole time too. what found was that at some point during the labour she did this massive twist and righted herself so she came out anterior. the birth pool is AMAZING for posterior i reckon. you get in the right position (on your knees leaning on the side of the pool) and the warm water is awesome on the back.
AFM: well, still sickfeeling a *little* bit better but still swallowing razors and have a HUGE headache and sore neck and back. i am so over it. DH did mention this morning that it has made him realise how much i actually do around the house
. i always suspected that he was sus about "all the work" i do lol. i have totally refused to get out of bed or off teh couch unless totally necessary and he is feeling it lol. that said, he still goes to soccer and leaves me with the girls while i have 40 degree temps and the like, but hey, there's some improvement in his outlook lol.

Cass - Hope you are better soon, so many bugs going around its horrible. Went to the park today and every second child had a nasty cough. I really dont like winter! No still no AF and LOVING it! I dont know what the go is with E atm. I am just taking each day as it comes and regardless of what happens I cant believe I have made it this far lol!
Arte - I hope bub turns for you. Posterior is no fun. But like Cass said get on the hands and knees. Are you planning a home birth? How is your neighbour going, I hope she isnt stuck in her house when labour starts....eeek!
Ginger - Thanks, I will try offer water to her, I havent even attempted that yet oops. As for the warmer weather, that makes sense. She fed like normal and threw in a few extra feeds in Bali, but since we have been home she hasnt been as interested.
I still have a bit of time before I hit the 0's, but time just flys so fast it will be here before I know it. I am so going on a huge overseas holiday for my 30th - kid free!! haha!

Dont worry, it will drop off once baby arrives.
And also I think you should plan a trip to Bali for your 30th. I know I was so against using a nanny, but the girls were fantastic. You could do something like that for some free time here and there.

just a wee vent...
DH told me that because he is going away for a few days that he would stay home (minus a meeting on monday). turns out that it was good timing as i got pretty sick (and still am but old news is no news) so needed some help with the girls. anyway, he goes and drops L off at kindy and doesnt come back! and yep has gone to work! and you know, i am not upset in the slighest that he went to work (it is afterall, our bread and butter), it's that he just didnt bother to let me know, so here i am waiting for him like a moron, getting excited everytime a car pulls up...argh!
i am doubly peeved as he informed me that tonight he has soccer. again. that makes every night since friday bar last night. then he goes to sydney tomorrow morning, which is still a bit of a sore point as he has been promising since january that it could be a family holiday, only in usual fashion to pull (me and the kids) out (thinking wellington, trip to adelaide, august holiday, 10 year anniversary, birthday etc etc). i feel such a fool as i was slowly compiling an itinerary of activities and had done a list of hotels and prices etc. i feel super stupid because i *should* of known when he kept holding off with making the booking (as per the usual pattern).
it's times like this that being 100% financially dependent is so depressing; i wish i could make some real decisions too ITMS.
argh, sorry for the vent...had to let it out somwhere

Cass, that is really frustrating - both that he didn't let you know he wasn't coming home and that Sydney turned into a stay-at-home-with-the-kids thing instead of a holiday.
That is why China was such a sore point around here. My DH always did the same as yours and would happily agree to anything I suggested but then I could never get him to agree to the details until it was too late and so we would never end up going anywhere. Then when I was bummed that he was going away he said that he didn't think I wanted to travel and all the times I brought it up he thought I wasn't serious??!!
Isa, going to China has completely turned DH off going to any vaguely asian country! He ate only noodles for two weeks solid after the guy he was with ate the wrong thing and lost 5kg lol. I think if we get away anywhere it will be to Australia.
Far out, snowing again. One day is cool, two days with sunshine is still fun, but by day 3 when it is overcast the novelty is gone and it is just cold!

You know what I am loving atm? W's little treasures! So cute! He has some little special things like a spy pen, a wallet, a map etc he has collected as we have cleaned out the room for the baby and he thinks they are soooo precious lol. He has a little set of envelope holder type shelves that came off a cabinet we put in spare room and every night all his little treasures are nicely put away to keep them safe.
And his eyes are very cool! Just after he turned two his eyes went from the same grey as mine to a very pale grey and it was really hard to tell what color they are because they look very different depending on what he is wearing, but I think they are going to be green! The other day he was wearing an army green top and his eyes were the exact same color and tend to look green most of the time now. That isn't in either of our families so must be some weird grey+blue combo.
And A's eyes have just started lightening up, so I am wondering if she is going to get the funky eye color too - I hope so!

Cass - Strip tearing offence in this house too. Seems a few of us have been in this position (me included, whenever DH goes to Melb for work he always says we can come and then back tracks). So its a male thing. Also to leave you while sick, I think he just didnt think it through. Again, a male thingNone the less still SO annoying!!
Arte - Hey good way to loose 5kgs lol! That being said, we havent had any tummy issues yet, maybe a wave of nausea here and there but nothing that has had us bed ridden. Touch wood. W sounds so cute with his little treasures. I have tried to encourage the same sort of thing with M and her toys, especially small collectables like her squinkees and littlest pet shop animals, but no, they end up all over the house and seperated into different toy boxes. So you are lucky that W is into doing that and its very, very cute.
AFM, E is sick, let me just say breastfeeding a baby with a snotty nose is so gross, I am covered in it. And she cant breathe through her nose which is frustrating her to no end.

Our small toy sets seem to all get put back into specific places, but only the things she really values. Clearly she has her mother's tidy virgoan mind.
