Cass, a very big (and belated) Happy Birthday to Miss E!! That is absolutely fantastic news that she is seizure free. That must have been a freaking nightmare to live through. I know things could have been worse, but that little bit of abstract knowledge doesn't help much when something like that is happening in your own family .
How long is your DH away for? Try not to stress about the moving. As long as you have boxes it can all be chucked in on packing day. Believe me, BTDT many times
Cally, that is a massive time commitment! Luckily W isn't overly into any club type activities and I haven't signed A up for dancing yet because she doesn't really follow instructions well enough. But of course, just when she was getting near ready they have announced that the lady won't be coming to town next year and we will either have to skip it or drive 45 minutes each way which I don't see happening for a 30 minute lesson. Perhaps I will sway her to tai kwon do - that will still be here next year.
MD, at least you don't have to move I don't suppose his promotion came with any better hours/conditions?
AFM, I actually have news!!!! It has been an eventful week - exam done and dusted, tubes all tied and infertility reins supreme (hopefully!!), and the biggest news - WE GOT A DOG!!!!!!!
He is just a little thing, foxy x and I suspect there is some jack russell in there by his body shape/stance. He is called Benny and he is around 1 year old. He is a pound dog that was running out of time. The kids are absolutely thrilled. W has big plans for teaching him tricks, A has such a kind heart and E is full of squashing love. Apparently he came from a house with a few young kids so he is used to the rush of it all. I do have issues with a well loved dog being taken from a caring home because of council fees and fines, but I guess at least he has ended up somewhere good. The cat doesn't seem overly impressed but she has a slight size advantage so I think it will work out.
