Apparently it's normal to see the dad in babies. Something to do with obviously knowing who the mum is because the baby comes out of them, but the baby look like the dad is 'proof' the baby is his. Apparently.
I can see both me and DF in Arya. She definitely has my lips, but I think she has his eyes. My family thinks she looks like me as a baby, but looking at my baby photos I don't really see it. Though I do see my niece in her when she pulls certain faces. Waiting for FIL to bring over DF's baby photos so we can compare. FIL thinks she looks exactly like DF as a baby.
Crispe - Kay is georgous (I know I spelled that wrong, but can't be bothered trying to figure out how it's really spelled LOL)
Shadow - have you had a chance to look up I Am Cow yet? hahaha. there are two similar but slightly different music videos for it if you're at all interested.
Mum2c's - So sorry to hear that C has such bad eczema. I hope you are able to get it under control.
Lady N - Sorry to hear you are having such a hard time with J and sleep. I hope he sorts his sleep pattern out soon. I am wondering if part of it is because he was in the hospital for so long. They'd have had the lights on and checking him all the time so he might not have his days and nights worked out poperly yet.
Kirley - Sounds like little J is packing on the weight for you. Which is fantastic.
DDB - Glad to hear that you are getting a lot more confident with A.
AFU - A officially has asthma. The rattling cough and snuffling and whatnot is an asthma thing. Its worst at night, to the point where she can't have any air blow over her at all. So no air con. No fan. No fun for mummy and DH has needed to sleep in the other room (I'm with you on missing DH in bed Lady N). I've got a humidifier going, and on the good nights, that's enough. On the bad nights, I prop myself up in bed and she sleeps on my chest. I know it's not the best, but on the bad nights when she is laying flat on her back chokes on her own phlem The doctors seem to think it will get better as it gets older, and my mum told me that I was very similar when I was a baby and I do have asthma now, but it's not so bad, so I'm hoping she mostly grows out of hers as well.
Speaking of mum. She flew back home on Tuesday. I miss her already.

Shadow - Charlotte also has smiled at me and laughed. I'm so sure of it and will try to capture it on video!
AFM: Charlotte is such a chucker. I've tried holding her in an upright position even for over an hr but as soon as she goes down, she chucks. Night time chucks are the worse, they are projectile vomits and results in me having to change my clothes.
I cant complain she's as cute as a button!
with tummy time, DD doesnt seem to mind but she loves standing up when we prop her on our chest.
Oh and I found out I have D-MER which I guess in a way a relief to know exactly what i was feeling when I was feeling overwhelmed and sad (which lasted only a few secs) before every let down.
Hi ladies hope your all well. I had a visit with the maternal nurse today DD may have started off small but she has now hit the 4kg mark at 6 weeks. I have her immunisation on Monday not looking forward to that hopefully she will be fine. I have damaged the tendons in my right wrist do haven't picked her up much DH or my mum have been helping me I'm off to the Osteo soon to get it sorted with a brace

Hi everyone else.
AFU-A did 7 hours last night and the night before 8 so I cannot complain. Poor darling hasn't been well today. She has been vomiting everything up. She kept most of her last feed down though. Her poohs also hurt her bum, she was screaming for hours and it broke my heart. She is resting up at the moment but will have a feed soon so hopefully she is feeling better.
Lady neon - hope Jaxon is ok. Scary stuff.
Don't worry about HDTV being better at settling him, my HDTV was always better at it with my first because when she was with me she could smell my milk & wanted it!

Miss dee - block feeding is going well. 3rd day & we got our first mustard poo! Will keep going until it clears right up. Heath was so much better today & thanks to chiro this afternoon he has been so sleepy & relaxed. So so good for both of us as he has had really crappy day sleeps for a while now. Hopefully his little rashly bum clears up because it looks so sore. Stupid lactose overload!
He slept so much better last night. He'd feed, burp, then straight to sleep - no crying. He did grunt & wriggle quite a bit with tummy pain. He would push his tummy right against mine & I think the warmth helped him(we co sleep in my bed). Once his tummy issues improve & chiro improves his back issues ill work on getting him to sleep out of my arms during the day. I love holding him but its hard with the girls because they don't get much Mumma time.
Chrispe - seriously our boys sound the same! The sleeping & feeding you described in your earlier post is exactly like Heath!
Grrr, I have to go - my girls are fighting over who gets to sit next to me.
I second the breastmilk in the eye. quite often babies just get a blocked tear duct not actually conjunctivitis. if it is conjunctivitis its usually a runny/snotty nose with it. jimmy has her left eye every morning a little weepy n then nothing for the rest of the day. its heaps different frkm when her n william had conjunctivitis a month ago.
Lol littlelove, one of these days we will have to meet up (not sure when as I'm in Adelaide lol) Would be cool to see them together sometime. Twins to separate mums! Hehe
Thanks everyone, I think my boys are pretty special too (if I do say so myself) although when they look as much alike it means that poor Kayden keeps getting called his older brothers names by mistake!
Dr Tal, sorry to hear about A's asthma. My DD and I have it too, her first wheezing attack was at 3 months old, Drs said it was broncialitis and it would clear up in a couple of weeks. Ha she had it constantly for her first 12 months, then I started trying her with the puffer and it helped. We often use the vaporiser in her room over night, with either Vicks liquid or eucalyptus oil in it.
Chrispe - so far A hasn't had a wheezing attack yet, but I'm on the look out for it. Did your DD's get better as she got older?
Littlelove - good to hear that your getting the lactose overload sorted with H now. His poor little bum. Have you tried moo goo for it? Pretty sure that's what it';s called. I've never used it, but I have a couple of friends whose little ones got really bad nappy rash and they swear by it.
DDB - wow. Sounds like A is going to be a super sleeper. My DS was like that until 6 months. They daycare broke him. It's certainly nice though to be able to get full decent night sleeps.
Mum2C's - what is D-MER? Can't say that I've heard of it. Sorry to hear that C is a chucker. DS was too. Didn't seem to matter what I did he'd still chuck up all over me about a dozen times a day. I never went anywhere without multiple changes for the both of us. He grew out of it about 5 months. Hopefully C will grow out of it before that for you.
Terry - I Hope your doctor is able to get your wrist sorted for you. It would be horrible to not be able to pick, up your little one as often as you want.
Shadow - I love when they start smiling for the first time. I'm hanging out for A's first smile...well when she's awake at any rate. She's always smiling in her sleep. I know they say it's wind. 'But it still looks like a smile.
Lady N - I recommend breast milk too. If it IS conjunctivitis (but I'm with Kirley, could be a tear duct thing, more about that in a second) though if it doesn't clear up in a few days take her to the doctor. You can get an over the counter medication for it, but it can irritate the eye in come babies/people, so they may prescribe something else for it. I say to not let it go on for too long because ACTUAL conjuncitvitis can damage the eye if left un-treated for too long.
With the above having been said it could very well be a tear duct issue. I know DS has tear ducts which are too small. So whenever he gets a runny nose he also gets goopy eyes, looks very similar to conjunctivitis, and can easily turn into it if I don't keep on top of things. Wash his eye(s) regularly with a clean warm washer. MAke sure to use a different part if you need to wipe more then once, and for each eye. Also try massaging his tear ducts. (be careful if you have long(ish) nails). This is what I have to do with DS. Use a finger (other then your pointer, because that one is too rought) and make little circles in the corner of his eye next to his nose. Make sure that the circles go in and down towards the nose, ITMS. That will help his eye drain.

AFU - little A's cough has been worse the past two nights, I think because it's cooled off more then it had been. about 4 times now shes couhged to the point of making herself vomit, and I mean full projectile empty her stomach of all contents vomits on the good side, she was weighed today and she's still putting on weight, so that's something at least.

Glad you finally found us littlelove. I'm having sake prob with DS only sleeping in my arms. Super frustrating.
Dr.Tal poor little A! Really hope she grows out of it, and that the breastfeeding helps lessen the affects.
AFM. Well after 2 good night's sleeping from DS he made up for it last night and today. It's 5pm and this is the first time he's been asleep since 2pm yesterday I really don't understand what is bothering him. I'm demand feeding, and ensuring he feeds at 6 then 9pm to be full before we go to bed. This worked Friday and Saturday night's, he didn't go to sleep till just before midnight, but didn't wake for a feed again till around 3.30, then again at 7. Didn't work last night I burped and rocked him for hours and hours but he just cried and cried. I fed him to ups but that didn't work either. Is it the age? Don't think I'll survive another night if he doesn't have at least one sleep!!
