OP – I’m still going…albeit needing much more sleep to keep going. No, no cancellations, still booked in for the 16th….so next Friday. Still bleeding, although this past week it’s not been quite as much as it had been (maybe I’m running out of blood )
Lots happening with B. He saw an ENT specialist twice and an eye specialist yesterday. His ruptured sinus is all healed, but the blood and muck from it being ruptured and infected blocked his nasolacrimal (sp??) duct (tear duct). That meant his eye wasn’t draining properly so was staying too wet and providing optimal conditions for bacteria to grow, hence his ongoing eye infections. Saw the eye specialist yesterday, fearing the worst (him needing surgery to clear the blockage). But the Dr. was FANTASTIC, was SO good with B and spent over 45 minutes massaging his tear duct to release the blockage so he could avoid surgery. So the blockage is gone. YEAH BUT he said is duct is really narrow. What that means…whenever he gets a cold they swell, so his eye won’t drain properly. So the dr showed me how to massage it to help it drain so hopefully we’ll avoid the bacterial infections. Best (and most likely case) as he grows the duct will grow and he’ll eventually out grow the issue (in 5 or so years). Worst case, keeps getting infections, duct scars and closes over and surgery is needed. But I guess at least now I know and as soon as I can see a runny nose starting I can start to massage the duct and hopefully avoid any ongoing issues!
I couldn’t imagine B in a big bed yet. He still squirms and wiggles all over the place and I’d be worried about him falling out! I remember you sayign that you were putting yoru DD in a big bed when we were in the belly buddies group, bit it didn’t really click how small she would have been till just now. I tried to imagine B in a big bed, and I can’t. He’s still just SO SMALL!
