olive - I saw your thread but don't know much about it so didn't post. Massive I'd be nervous too but I'm sure it will all go ok - unpleasant but ok.

No news yet on the blood test. He had it on Monday and we were talking last night and reckon that no phone call is a good thing as they tend to react when the numbers are low. I'm coming back to convincing myself that his last one before this was some kind of mistake or maybe it's normal for his numbers to go up and down because he's basically building an immune system from scratch and so they might dip when he's fighting stuff off or developing immunity. He has to have all his immunisation shots in 12 months again because his whole history has pretty much gone. Anyway, when he gets home at lunch time I'm going to ask him to call someone because the wait is doing my head in and I don't think I can cope with not knowing the whole long weekend too!!

In other news I just went and told the neighbour what I think of her. I got so cranky I raised my voice! very unlike me to confront people who upset me but I've been doing it more and more lately and I feel better for telling her to stay away from me and my family and letting her know we know about what she is saying about us all over town. She was already avoiding us and we were enjoying the peace the last few weeks but then she must have figured enough time had passed and she popped up in the laneway this morning when I was getting the car out (which was an old habit of hers) and I decided I needed to tell her to stay away from me cause I don't want to spend my life worrying about when and where she will pop up again. She is so far beyond appropriate it's not funny. I would bet my wage this week that she'll write us another letter now but I don't care which makes me sound heartless but she is seriously nuts. I used to think her gossip was harmless but it's not. It's hurtful and distressing. I also know that at least one other neighbour has "gone off" at her for what she has been saying about us so I know I'm not just being emotional because of what's been going on. Anyway, now I feel all brave and assertive

Hi everyone - I'm back from holidays and feeling great (although a bit hungover today). I popped in and out while I was away but internet was a bit flakey so need to catch up!

Malyna - sorry to hear your news

Kaz - how are you going with DP and also with DS's sleep?

OP - did you have a chat with DH and sort out the payroll issues?

Olive - how are you? Are you still thinking of Trinity Beach for a holiday? I can highly recommend it and the place we stayed at (I can get you a discount there too), especially for kids our kids age. It was so quiet and relaxed but with enough to do. We went to Palm Cove and I found it too busy and developed but that's just me. Cairns isn't good to stay in but close to get to on the bus for a day. I have put up the pics on FB.

We have no improvement on the TT front but Miss J will now jump in the pool and swim to the step under water unassisted and will use a noodle by herself to swim around - the holiday was worth it just for that! Fingers crossed she keeps it up and I won't be having a screaming clingon at swimming lessons from now on.

Hay Nai, so glad you had a great time, I haven't checked many of your photos yet but from what I have it looked magic. I love Qld.

DP has his head in the sand and hasn't called about his latest blood results. I have mine there next to him atm and I've decided I don't want to know if it's not good. We have been into the garden heaps this weekend, weeding, mulching, planting, hedging etc and DP is SO tired. He could hardly get going this morning and it reminded me of when he was really sick, he was just exhausted this morning. They say it can take 6 months to recover from a stem cell transplant so hopefully thats all it is. Besides, I'm pretty tired too tonight and I don't have any excuse except a busy weekend

Don't want to jinx myself with DS as he is still waking overnight but there has been a slight improvement the past few nights and I can't thank you enough for your suggestion of music in my other thread

Hope everyone else had a great weekend. The repeated "but why?" questions started here in earnest yesterday. I've been waiting for it but it's still going to wear thin pretty soon!

Nai - that resort sounds fantastic. Can you send me the details?

Kaz - Hugs. I hear you with the blood test results. Just ring. Sounds like DP has a reasonable excuse to be tired. I've only been sick since August with colds and stomach bugs but I've really noticed it sent my energy levels for a sixer (and it wasn't anything like what your DP has been through) so I understand him being exhausted.

Awesome weather lately. Been fighting with kangaroos who seem to think that all my plantings are for their breakfast. DS has changed in the last week. The vebal responses have finally caught up with his comprehension and we have been having a lovely time with communicating. My heart melts everytime he says "Alright mum" when he agrees to something I've suggested. DH is talking about dropping down to 4 days a week at work, so he can spend a day with DS. I asked him about this almost 3 years ago when DS was born and he said "Oh financially I earn more than you so it makes more sense for me to work" and now he gets it - that DS will only be this small once, and he's only got one shot at spending time with him as DS is learning to do things.

Hope everyone else is travelling well... super big spring hugs to you all.

    OP - Huge Congrats xxx

Malyana - Big decisions ... I hear you about getting the tummy back ...

Kaz - You and DH are always in my prayers... you are an inspiration

    Big hi to everyone!

We've all been sick with colds and flus for ages ...

Have been on the long road of a possible Autism diagnosis with Miss A which is the main reason for my sitting on the sidelines ... Just so much to deal with and get my head around ... OT and Paed agree on 'sensory processing difficulties' so we have somewhere to start

Girls are finally both sleeping at the same time each day giving me some time out YAY!

Here's to a good week for everyone x

    Hi Ellie,
There is a dedicated autism yhread on BB. You should jump in there as they offer great advice for possible diagnosis. I was in there a bit for DS, but he was eventually diagnosed with a anxiety disorder so not in there any more.

So since the start of October, I have successfully managed to:

Run one samsung galaxy phone over with the car.
    Destroy one Kindle
Crash and ruin one laptop hard drive.
    Lose another Samsung Galaxy phone.

My replacement Kindle is now in a case and I carry it with care. The laptop had the hard drive replaced and DH had to use some forensic software to recover the information (and hopefully DS's baby photos). And as for mobile phones, I am so sick of them, I think I'll just live without one for awhile, considering I just went on a new plan with Virgin mobile in September.

The lesson here is never, ever let me near technology

Hope you all are having better luck with your technology...

    Good luck tomorrow Olive!

    How's your knee healing Meg?

Ellie - I'm glad you have a diagnosis of sorts that you can work with. Have they given you any information or strategies to start working with?

Malyna - I think you had better go back to pen and paper (just remembered to send you the resort details - will FB you)

AFU - 2 wees on the potty today! Massive breakthrough Although will have to wait and see if it is an ongoing thing.....

    Yay on the potty Nai.

Good luck tomorrow Olive. What length of time is recovery?

Knee is ok. Still on crutches, but only one crutch now. I am shatteredcby the end of te day after caring for kids. DH is training with the new motorcycle unit of paramedics, so not home. Don't even get me started on what I think of that. He will be back working metro. We left metro life for a reason, and now he is going back. I am actuall really ****ed off about it. Also longer commute, for 5 mins to 1 hour, so away from home more.

I start physio on the weekend. Back on a stationary bike next week. (I loathe) and then hopefully a regular bike by the end of the month.

Kids have been fantastic considering. J has become emotional again though. Crying when I leave him at childcare. He also came home after an hour at his friends house, because he misses me, and wants to be with me constantly.

Ellie - great big hun; I had no idea that DD had sensory issues It's fantastic that they're onto it this early though because it means the interventions and managements will have a much bigger (positive) impact than if she was already in school etc. I hope you can find a support group - either in here or IRL. Take care.

Malyna - Wow talk about walking nightmare LOL!! I hope it was just a run of bad luck and the tech breaking fairy goes away. Sounds expensive!

Nai - Whoot on the potty wees!

olive - been thinking of you on and off all day hun. Hope all has gone well.

Lilima - no wonder you are exhausted! I would be p.o.ed if DP took a job further away from home too.

AFU - currently waiting on the results of a whooping cough swab for DS. It has been going through his childcare for a couple of months. There have been 8 cases in his room in the past month or so and he can't return until he's either tested negative or had 5 days worth of the WC antibiotic. Its a bit of a minor panic for me because DP's immunity has been totally wiped and he's building it back but can't have immunisation shots for another 9 months so he doesn't get it! Of course DP is totally casual about it and is having just as much contact with DS as ever. Plus we visited his 70-something parents on the weekend and DS was coughing down there so they could have been exposed too.

    Ellie, how is everything going?

Nai I'm jealous!! DD is still no where near TT

Lilima how's the knees? Poo to DH's new course

Kaz how is DS on the whooping cough??

    Malyna destroyed anything else lol!!

AFM op went well, still can't drive but it's ok because DH has 4 weeks off, no more pain which is good. Took 6 days to get over the GA
DD2 is really difficult ATM...driving me nuts

So DS was positive for Whooping cough, in the middle of his antibiotics course I started to cough and got sick with flu like symptoms, (thought I was going to die ) then a couple days after me DP started. We tested negative for WC so I think it's just the flu. It's still hanging around now even though it's not wanted DS was back in care last week, finished his anti-biotics on the weekend and then got sent home at lunchtime yesterday with temp of 39.2. So now we're all at home again waiting to see what it turns into. Dr. yesterday wasn't sure - thought viral but he doesn't have any other symptoms, a bit of a runny nose but nothing that major and he responded well to panadol yesterday so who knows?

olive - 6 days is a long time!! I'm so glad you're not in pain. DS drives me crazy with the 'why?' questions and the constant changing of his mind every 2 seconds. I know it's normal and he's not that well but it's doing my head in!!

    Hope everyone else is well!!

Oh no kaz - I hope it is just a cold. How is your DP?

Well Miss J is pretty much day TT'd now. She just decided and that was it. Pretty much accident-free since then. She has been dry about 80% of nights as well although I still put a nappy on for her sleeps. She is also doing much better with her behavioural issues so I think she has turned a corner.

    Hey ladies,

Doing ok here. DD actually bringing me a lot of joy right now. DS, mostly, but he's at that annoying "can't talk, want things but can't communicate" phase so he gets frustrated easily and throws little tantrums all the time. Incredibly frustrating.

DD pretty much toilet trained. She still wears a nappy to bed but I'm thinking about taking it off soon as she wakes up dry most mornings. Haven't quite decided to take that plunge yet. We've got kinder orientation in a week - eeeek scary!

Kaz, that's no good about DS getting WC and now possibly something else. I really hope its something not serious that clears up soon!

Olive - how are you hun? I've been thinking of you. The GA knocked me around a bit too.

Nai - hope the sale goes well, I'm not going to make it this time!

Lilima, how's the knee going? Are you off crutches yet?
