Oh my wat am I doing awake - jack hasn't woken for a feed (been 4hrs since last one woohoo) and here I am awake grrr silly silly girl
It was great seeing all of us brissie girls and jak u were missed in person but loved seeing ur smiling face![]()
brissie girls: sorry I had to bail early guysbut had so much fun, Im sad i didnt make it to cotton on kids but I saw there is a sale on starting tomorrow??? hehehe. And I get PPL payment tomorrow apparently, ah its meant to be
jaki: I do still have the machine, it was free cos I was in hospital when I got itIts one of the times I adore the public health system, but I figured I would just bite the bullet so I booked in to see the dr at 11am tomorrow morning. If I have it I have it and I will just have to deal. Since having GD ive changed my eating habits anyway, its only some times I treat myself but most times I'm quite sensible. Except for the mini wheats after lunch and after dinner thing
God I love miniwheats. It was great to see you today at the meet up too
You fell on the floor once but we managed to get you back up on the table hahahah
ferrals: Chase is loud and grunty too, even when he isn't sleepingapparently prem babies are supposed to be louder or something, once he is in a deep sleep though he is silent as can be. too bad the only way to get him there is to hold him to sleep.
sarah: woo of course you can make it past 3 months BFing! You can keep your two kids though LOL I can barely handle my one hahaha
jenna: thats great about Elise's weight gain!! I remember the most C put on in a week was 410g...I was like, you fatty boombattie!!
Lisa: happy 6 weeks!!! LOL about the BFing and kids. My step-neice I think she would be...she is my stepdad's sons' girl...anyway she is only 5 years old and I was BFing tonight and she was like 'what are you doing?' so I had to explain he was having his dinner and that some babies had dinner by getting milk from the boob and some had dinner by a bottle. She stood there for a good 10 mins absolutely captivated by the fact I was feeding the baby from my chest LOL
Ok, how do I get him to sleep without me nursing him? Its getting to be annoying that to get him in bed at night I have to nurse him complete with boob. I've tried just putting him in the bassinet and leaving the room with the lights off and he just screams and screams, he really doesn't self settle. He also doesn't have a dummy, gags on them. Dont know what to do about this, i dont have time to be nursing him to sleep after every feed.

Hi everyone! Just wrote a huge post and lost it grrrrr. On my phone, just wanted to pop in and say hihave been reading everything. Xx
Awww thanx girls. Feelin tha luv. X
Kitty do you have some kind of music or anything in his room? When w sleeps in his own room during the day he has a fisher price music box with lights and birds on the side of his cot. It puts him asleep and distracts him from realising he has been put to bedwhen he is in with me I have a pull cord music toy that does the trick.
Kitty - everyone has something different that works for them. Some people let their kids cry on their own until they fall asleep (I did with Aricyn cos I didn't know any different), some use controlled crying (let them cry on their own for a few minutes, go in, resettle, leave when calm etc), then other people pat their bums, or rock them. I've used a combination of every technique depending on what works at the time and what bubs needs. I still pat Eden and kelti to sleep for their day naps. S will drop off on her own sometimes, or feed to sleep or I rock her to sleep - whatever works at the time.
Bloody DH is snoring. If he wakes eden I'll kill him!
Today is going to be my first day out alone with all the kids. Scary stuff lol
Sooo happy right now, W only woke once last night!!!
Woohoo jak that is awesome! S woke twice but its better than every 2 hours!!
My DH is snoring too Mel!
Good luck today!
Kitty, Miss A is rocked to sleep in the rocking chair, when I put her down, if I just walk away she wakes, so I put her down and put my hands on her and hold her (a trick a nurse taught me in hospital) she stays asleep and I walk away after a minute or so. MJ use to feed to sleep... Neither of m y girls self settle, but MJ does now, it does end and my way of thinking is, what ever causes both you and your baby the least stress is the best way... I use to be really concerned that I had to pat MJ asleep and that's she couldn't fall asleep without me, but it doesn't stay like that forever!
Music doesn't work for A, she wakes up and looks around.
Can you put C over your shoulder and move around (I sway) or use a rocking chair?
In winter I put a wheat pack in the cot when I am feeding so it's warm when she goes back in and doesn't notice so much that I'm not there iykwim...
I have a very grunty baby too, I have to turn the monitor down some nights as it wakes me, but she is not awake
Ferrals - hope you can find a formula that works for Ella
How are the constipated babies going, has anything worked?
Packing for the holiday today, feel totally unprepared and haven't finished the shopping, did some last night when the kids all went to bed!
Dss has an eye appointment today and needs a haircut and miss A has an Osteo appointment, it's going to be a busy busy day!
Have a good one xx

Yaaa Jak!
I have a cloth bum baby today. I am starting the trial with bambooty and then itty bitty. We shall see how this goes.. So far, like that bambooty is so trim. xx
Yep must have been a fluke. We went down at 815 but awake at 1 then 330 and 645. Not too bad I guess. Think it was all the sleeping yesterday that did it.
yay Weeman for only waking once
Kitty, I am terrified of the whole self settling stuff. My sil loves to pat/rock her son to sleep... but I watch her do it for an hour before he goes to sleep. Do not want that to be me... BUT more then fine for her. Do what you feel is right.
I do the whole hand on back and then walk away too.
Oh my, seems the whole cloth diaper will be tested with a massive poo! How wonderful.
AND first smile!!!!!! Awwwwww
Good luck with the cloth tams! I'm gonna miss wyatts cloth over Easter, we have decided to use up his new born sposies on our trip.
That is awesome Jak! Btw travel safe and enjoy your time away!
Thanks, any tips or advice anyone has feel free to pass on. : )
WMM Great news about W's night (and yours) And a smile! Woohoo.
We have been using cloth 50% of the time. So far my baby safari's suck (they have leaked everytime and take the longest to dry) The itti bitti is a lovely fit but doesn't have great absorbancy and I absolutely love the ecocubs woolpockets. They last longer then a sposie and never a leak. Drying time is quick also. The petite BBH are also good. I want some bubblebums but am povo at the moment.
AE goodluck on your outing. I went yesterday with 3 and it was a nightmare with DD4 running off and then me dragging her along as she wouldn't walk, pushing the pram. I wonder how I will go with 4. I'd need 3rd or 4th arm/hand.
Where are you off to jak?
We are using cloth while we are away, I have just got some funkybots as they are cheap and really quick drying and for an inexpensive nappy they are surprisingly really good!
Also mum is going too so she will help wash them out (no washing machine when camping!!!)
Goodluck Tams, enjoy the fluffy bum!
