oh ferals, i hope they sort out whats going on for you at your appointment, our bodies sure know how to stuff us arround.
jenna the other day, i walked up to the smoke counter intending to buy some had been thinking about it for a week, but as i was about to be served i thought wtf am i doing! i havent had one since i was preg with s and he is 6 this year.. i told df and he said he should slap me. for "you time" could you put a movie on for J? my 3yo is giving me crap to, been thinking of putting him in 3yo kinder just working out if we can afford the near $300 a term and if my sanity is realy worth it!

Well i had to re-schedual my appointment, df was asked to work today, and he cant say no as he is only casual untill he dose the course on the 12th, cant risk upsetting the boss:rolleyes: the doc i want to see (nice lady one ive seen befor) isnt in again untill tuseday and not sure till monday night if he has work or not:shakehead: there is no way i would go to the doc for anything with all 4! unless all 4 were sick at the same time!!

im getting rid of A's cradle this week, she dosent sleep in it, k waking her everytime she went in it blew that one! she did sleep peacefully in k's cot yesterday so fx she dose in her own! then i can slowly (hopefully) work on getting her out of my bed, cheeky bugga i put the rocker on the floor by my side the bed, everytime she was asleep and put in it, her eyes would flick open, realise she was in it in the bedroom and she would start, or she would watch my lay down and cry. the minute she lay down with me, instantly asleep!!! i dont mind so much, but i would like to start on some sort of night routien that dosent involve her going to bed with me! it took me 4 years to get the boys into a decent one!!

Morning ladies.

Sarah-They are clever little buggers they know when their not in mums arms that is why i always put ella to bed just as she is dozing off now as she started to do that to us when we put her down her eyes would pop open so she knows bed is where she goes to sleep not mummys arms and when she use to start whinging i would just pop the dummy in gripe water and in her mouth and walk out it took a bit for her to get it that mum was not going to pick her up when it's sleep time so now i dont have a problem putting her to bed.
But i will say i didnt think she would ever get there it has taken 7 weeks.

I had a good nights sleep Ella seems to know night time is sleep now she goes to bed at 8-9 and wakes at 3am every night without fail she has her bottle and then i put her back into her cradle awake and she goes off to sleep by herself i might have to pop her dummy in 1-2 times but other than that she has not played up during the night for over a week.
she wakes at 7am every morning which is good because that is what time i get the boys up for school.
Her ferral time is about 5- 6ish so i just bath her and put her in the bouncer until she goes to bed.
But she will not sleep in the cot i have tried daytime sleeps in the cot but she wont have a bar of it loves her cradle.

Jaki-It is normal to feel overwhelmed being a new mum once bub is in a routine and settled it all seems so easy after that.
I have a 17, 15 and 13 year old one at work one doing yr 10 and one in yr 8 so trying to do housework,dinner help kids with assignments and homework plus look after a newbie and keep on top of washing the school and work uniforms plus the 2 dogs and 2 puddy cats it was a little overwhelming for me at first i thought what the hell have i got myself into and i wondered how i managed with a 4yr old 2yr old and a newborn when i was 23 years old but now it all seems like a normal day to me but the first few weeks i was STRESSED.
It will get easier just go with it and try to have some time to unwind when hubby has wyatt.

A hot bubble bath always does it for me it refreshes me.

Been reading but too lazy and flat out to sit down and post properly...

I'm a bit worried about aurora today :(
She has had a snuffly nose since yesterday, but she is still happyish, but she is hardly feeding (4 half feeds since midnight) and sleeping loads. Also when she is feeding she has started to Homs her breath, like she is forgetting to breathe, then she does and coughs and spluters and gags and cries :(
Not sure if it is all related to the ?cold, :dunno:

Also, those with redux babies... Can u have reflux without the crying/screaming?

Sammie-My SIL's son did but he had just reflux where bub projectile vomits all the bottle so he had to have surgery to correct it he never had pain from it just constantly hungry and wasnt gaining weight so they operated on him at 4 weeks old.
Ella would burp and bring stomach contents up into her mouth then you could see her gulping trying to catch her breath and swallow the fluid at the same time then she would let out a cry/scream and it would wake her up all the time.

Every sleep today i have put Ella down awake and she has gone off to sleep by herself i cant believe it she is so different then 2 weeks ago i was fighting with her to get her to sleep in her own bed now it's like she knows it's bed time and just goes to sleep i hope it stays this way.

Kylie, I have to nag and nag fir the lead up to mothers day or birthdays, some men dont get the importance of it :( I got some slippers that I ASKED for yesterday! He had made a card with MJ a week ago thou. But then he felt guilty after watching me and the kids Friday decorating a mug for my mum and decided to copy, but didn't get the right type of mug so the ink rubbed off, I told him yesterday that I wasn't totally ungrateful but u didn't want it as he copied my idea with something that didn't work and so really meant nothing. All I want each year is for him to make something with the kids... It's not a huge ask and usually costs nothing but time :(
It's crapola weather here so doing nothing as Aurora is really unwell

On the plus side, I am having a nice day :)

Kylz: I wish DH would mow. DH has been away since Friday arvo (drinking and clubbing i might add taking $150 of our savings), he swore to me he would be home 6.30am this morning, turned up at 8am so I was already ****ed. hadn't written in the card and used a gift bag that I got from my baby shower to give me my gift in. And he only got exactly what I asked for, no special little surprise like a mug that says mummy or a scratchie or nothing. Geez. Way to make an effort. He was also supposed to cook me breakfast but he was like 'ok i just need to go out and get everything' and I was like' don't bother' clearly it doesn't matter enough for him to plan it properly. On fathers day he is getting the exact same treatment he gave me. I'll get him what he asks for and thats it.

Although to his credit we rented out a couple of movies (my idea though) and we all snuggled up watching movies together today so it wasn't a total loss but it is like I planned a date for myself IYKWIM. And my Chase is being such a good sleepy boy, gotta love growth spurts :)

off to Dh's mums place and then my mums so just going to wake up sleepy head.

My DH took my boys shopping the other day and brought me a surprise they hid it in the cupboard until today i got a WII fit board (that i have always wanted) and a Zumba exercise game to go with it and he was going to take me out for lunch today but Ella is sick.
I must admit DH always spoils me.

Ella has been sick all night and day i dont know what is wrong she has had bad water poo's and bad wind and been vomiting and crying she doesnt have a temperature and still drinking all her bottles so i am clueless to what could be wrong could it still be from her needles why do i jinx myself and get all excited cause she has been so good and sleeping perfectly and now this.

Sarah: Good luck with switching to the cradle, I only used K's bassinet for week and then he was in his own bed but have the tetra bed in it which is awesome. Hope the transition is as smooth as possible. ; 0

Jaki: $700?!?!? Gold coast is so expensive, like $18 a drink at the strippers.. Yep, your right... Motherhood is stressful. The first few weeks feel like a blur, I am only feeling now that I am on top. Although, not returning messages on facebook, emails or texts.... So I guess I suck at being a friend right now but damn good at trying be a good mommy! Lol.

Afm- c has been on the losec for 48hrs and definitely noticing a difference, hopefully its not a coincidence and keeps up. Just need to get ellas sleep sorted! Have now developed a serious mcn addiction, still using sposies at night but thinking of venturing to night nappies soon.

I had jayden done at 6 when I went for my check up and rota is a liquid so they get a jab in each leg and the rota. You can get them at 6 cause the whooping cough is in it I was told

Kylz at least you got a card. I got nothing today from DH! It would have been a pretty **** day if it wasn't for my bestie sending me out. Sometimes men have no idea!

Tams I feel like I'm improving. I've still been crying/anxious most days, but starting to feel more like I can cope.

Ellasmummy I was told 6wks, but we got H's shots on Friday. His poop has been gross since but that's all.

Hayden has been so happy all afternoon! He was laying across my lap today after I fed him and was smiling and cooing for ages. He's just so adorable it makes my heart melt!

One of my friends from interstate showed up on my doorstep with her 4yo on wednesday as a surprise. DH knew and kept it a secret! The help/distraction has been very welcome! I almost didn't get out of the house today but I made myself suck it up and I'm glad I did :-)

Louise, I had Kolton done at 6 weeks and cried like a baby. Dh is doing it next time. Stuff that!! If you ever want to meet up and no one else can does not matter throw a date out and I will meet you. Would love it. None of my friends have babies and would love the outing! Let us know.

louise: Chase got his needles at 6 weeks. the rota virus was in a tube they just make the baby drink so painless :) i was so P.O'd with DH, I think I'm still a little annoyed but in the end he is the one who is going to miss out cos Chase won't know him like he knows me, so his loss.

ali: thank god for besties :) so glad Hayden has been a good boy for you.

Can I ask a question about this AF thing. Im annoyed that I actually got AF cos im breastfeeding but thats a whole other thing LOL. But its the fact I got AF 13th April and it lasted the standard 7 days but then on day 19 of that cycle I started bleeding very light, I guess it would be spotting with :tmi: brown blood. This bleed only lasted 2-3 days. So is that the start of my new cycle and should I be counting from there again??? Or is it normal for your first AF's after baby and on the minipill for the cycles to be really irregular??

kitty, i think it can be normal to take a while for it to go back to normal, i remember after the boys mine was here there everywere, never been regular but it was more messed up then usual. cant say about after krystal as i only had it once then found out we were having allyssa, some go back normal, others take time to "regulate" itms?

Mine were done at 8 weeks (I delayed 2 months with Eden) and I don't get the rota virus one cos of all the bad press about it. Dd1 is the only one who has had it, wasn't out when DS was a baby and he got rota virus anyway when he was young so the only way the other two can get it is if they catch it off my vaccinated kids - cos I have no life and go nowhere.

Kitty - I think mine were a bit out at the beginning - and I think mine is coming too. So peeved!!!!

Tams the bleeding has stopped havnt had a drop since sat typical after i made Dr appointments and all but i am just happy it's stopped finally.
And i go back to work on the 1st of august so i can only imagine how hectic my life will be then lol but Ella should be in a real good routine by then and hopefully sleeping right through the night and missing that 3am feed.

Mskara-Thanks for asking after 6 hours of unsettled grizzling and crying Ella had a bottle at 8:30 and slept until 3:30am then had a bottle and went back to sleep but i could hear her moaning and groaning from belly pain for about half an hour and she is just starting to wake up now.
Nice to have a good friend turn up( sneaky hubby )

Ellasmummy-it is usually 8 weeks but they recommend 6 weeks because whooping cough is running rampant at the moment.

Arimeh-Well i hope it is the rotavirus that is the cause and nothing else because she has had a sore belly with it i didnt know it was a live vaccine.
I wasnt going to get the rotavius but my DS2 caught it and ended up in hospital from servere dehydration when he was 18 months old.

Jaki-good luck with wyatt ella was good after and slept the first night no worries she wasnt happy on the 3rd and 4th day.

I think its 3 doses isn't it? Some of the vaccine schedules are different per state, I know tassie is different than Queensland.

We've been having a really bad day. DS has only been feeding about 20-30mls of EBM every couple oh hours since about 2.30am. He is hungry but just can't drink. I left a message for the paediatrician but he hasn't phoned back. I'm sure he thinks I"m neurotic.

I think I might go to the Children's Hospital if DS doesn't take more milk and if the paediatrician doesn't phone back..

I've been in tears most of the day as I just don't know what to do and where to turn. I don't know if I"m over reacting by going to the hospital. It's just I don't know what to do.

Do you have a gp? My gp is fantastic, she diagnosed dd with reflux and started her on losec. We also take her to a chiro that specialises in babies :)

My DD1 was like this - small amounts quite often. I don't think she got above 50ml at a feed until she was about 4 months old? Maybe his medicine needs to be adjusted? Hugs honey - its hard work, but you are NOT neurotic and I'm sure your doc doesn't think so either, you just want your baby to be happy - and there is nothing at all wrong with that.

Try to have some time out, have a cuppa or something xxxx
