Naomi: lol thank you to the school of naomi for that fabby idea will try it.

Jacinta: thats a bit crappy abt the MCHN not showing up gosh i woulda been ticked right off, did u find out why they didnt show?.

Niadla: if i could actually fit in the bath i would so do that but im too long for it lol *sad face*. u dont mind if u add u to FB do u? i love looking at piccies..

As for us we r all surviving only just. the MCHN came for a visit today ( as last time andy was weighed he'd only put on 10g) but today he'd stacked on 180g lol so i was pelased he was back to birth weight. whoo hooo.he is feeding every 2 hrs lil bugger 75ml of formula thats at night during the day its every 4 hrs lol

    Hi all!
Krystie sorry to hear last night was a bad one. I've found Allira is a bit more unsettled at night of late, and she ends up in our bed. hehe. She sleeps so well next to us. I hope that Kyson has a better night tonight.

Jess feel free to add me I love showing off piccies of my kidlets. hehe.
Andy sounds like he is doing really well! That's fantastic that he's back to birth weight.

AFM- well we all have colds here. Allira is a little blocked up but still sleeping and feeding as well as normal so can't be affecting her too much. Her eyes are nearly fixed too.
We have our appts tomorrow. GP then ultrasound then MCHN in the arvo. Can't wait to see how much weight she's put on.
Will ask GPabout her cold, but other than the saline for her nose, I don't think there's alot we can do. All I keep thinking lately is 'swine flu' and that freaks me out a little, but It's no worse than a normal flu pandemic, so I just have to remember that it happens all the time, and we'll be right. We all seem to be a bit better today as it is.
I was going to visit a heavily pregnant friend tomorrow, but have decided to postpone as I don't want her getting sick so close to the end. I would feel horrible.

Anyway, Enough from me. I have to get 2 nappy bags packed and clothing for both for tomorrow ready. DS is going to playgroup with my Mum (who took the day off specially for it), so I have to make sure I have plenty ready to go for him. We have to be up at 6am and leave by 7.30 to make sure I'm at my mum's by 9am.. the joys. LOL
Apparently then we are going to show my car to someone who's interested in buying it. Hubs wants a new car... I told him to chill out as we have a new baby and she'll only destroy the car anyway, but once he's got his mind set.... AH well. LOL

    Have a good one all!

    Hi Girls and Bubs

Jess - Doh re 2 hr night feeds and 4 hr day feeds - tell Andy from Aunty Naomi that darkness means sleep LOL. Bailey feeds 3-3.5 hourly no matter whether its day or night LOL. Someone told me as they get bigger their stomachs hold more milk and they dont feed so often, I dont think this is right or is it? LOL

Niadla - I love looking at your kidlets too - nice one of Allira in the bath. I got some saline drops (Saline Baby) for Bailey too as he was a bit stuffy, has been pretty good the last few days so hoping it stays that way. We just had the ILs here for tea and FIL has a cold, so hoping Bailey hasn't picked up his bug. I wish people would just stay away if they are sick, oh well, I know I am just being an over protective mother

Krystie - Hope you have reclaimed some sleep after last night, poor little Kyson, let me know of any success you have re Kysons wind as Bailey has been a bit windy of late too - I am going to try the Braurs Stomach calm next time it is an issue - was talking to the Baby Nurse at the chemist today and she seemed to think it might help

Kat and Jacinta - I hope Ivy and Jamie are doing well

Had Bailey weighed again today - since last tuesday he has put on 280gm - so happy about that, so he is now 7lb13oz - yaaaaaaah!! He has been so good today, but sleeping lots so am worried that means me may not sleep tonight - DOH

    Take care everyone

    Hi girls!
We're all still sick here. I've copped it the worst, which I spose is a good thing. Poor Allira has a cough now though It's not fair being so little and being sick already.
Anyway, we had the MCHN appt today and she's put on 480gms in 7 days!SHe's now 8lb9 or 3.9kgs exactly..... 400gms more than her birth weight. The health nurse was quite impressed, considering Allira's also sick. She's also gained .5cms HC and 1cm in length. So all good really.

Her belly button is improving, but we have to keep an eye on it. Hopefully by my 6 week check up it's ok, but if not, I'd say we'll be getting something done about it. It's not infected which is really good.

Would write some more... but DS is a bit feral right now and I need to get him ready for bed. Allira's a bit cranky too, but mainly because her brother keeps pashing her an laying his big fat head on her... Geez he weighs a tonne. It's so hard to get him to be gentle but not get angry with him. I don't want him having any negetive association with Allira, and if I yell or get upset, that's exactly what will happen.

    Take care girls

Naomi - Kyson had a much better night last night. He had three 3 1/2 hour blocks of sleep which was fantastic! Although, he was sleeping across my chest for two of them, lol. He was still getting upset when I laid him on his back (I assume it hurt his belly) and it seemed to help him to stay laying across my chest after he finished his feeds, so I let him stay there. I'm sure it's great for my back though hehe.

Oh, and I read that sometimes you can help their wind by giving them a tiny amount of water before or during a feed. So last night we boiled up the kettle and let it cool and I gave him about 5-10ml (of which he probably only swallowed a small amount) in the middle of his feed. Not sure if that actually contributed to his good night, but I'm going to do it again tonight just in case.

Niadla - I hope you guys all start feeling better soon! I've been feeling a little under the weather and was trying to convince myself it was just exhaustion. But I've had to admit to myself today that it's germs. I just reallllly don't want to give them to Kyson Take care of yourself and your family

Hey hope you are all well.
We're on the mend finally...I'ms till the worst, but DS and DH are both better, and Allira is on the improve now too... she's still snuffly and has a cough at times, but it's def better than it was.

Not much happening. Everything is still going about as well as it has since day one. Allira has been co sleeping with us while she has been sick. She sleeps soooo well when she's in with us and we get at least one 6 hour stretch at night. So so different to DS. I am amazed!
I am hoping to get her back to her bassinette full time again this week. I want my bed back now. LOL.

Hope everyone's having a nice Monday. Off to get some housework done before DS wakes up.

OMG so tired. Happy, loving mummyhood, but so incredibly tired... so despite all my intentions every day to write persies and give you more details about what's going on in our world, it's another quick one from me.

Was chatting to Vic on the phone this morning and she wanted me to say a big hello to you all. She's recovering well but is still in quite a bit of discomfort from the CS and is struggling with not being able to get up and down easily to cuddle CJ. She was in good spirits nonetheless and despite what sounded like a pretty trying 48 hours of labour (which I'll leave her to tell you about) she's happy with the way things went. She said that she's missing everyone on BB and FB and is craving the internet and looking forward to being back online when she is discharged on Saturday.

Hope you're all having a lovely week with your little bundles of wonder. I promise I'll try and do a decent post here soon.

    Hi Girls,

Hope all the bubs are well. I had a very scary moment last night, I got up about 2am to feed the little guys and he was crying as I was getting ready to feed him and he started doing this 'choke-cry' and spitting up, he seemed a little phlemy, it was really scary and I ran with him back to the bedroom to wake Sean as I couldn't get Bailey to stop. He was screaming for a feed and worked himself up into such a state, I couldn't calm him by getting him to take the boob, so got Sean to quickly heat some BM in a bottle so I could shove it in his gob to get him to take it, then he calmed so popped him back on the boob - and was fine after that. But hearing your baby cry so much he starts a choking sound was the scariest thing ever, I was ready to ring 000 - far out, I dont think my heart could take another incident like that - whew. He seemed a bit out of sorts today, but I think it was more him reacting to my signals as was dead tired, didn't even shower until 2pm as I stayed awake with him in case the same thing happened again

Krystie - I see on FB that little Kyson is sick - so sorry to hear that, hope he gets better soon x

I have my 6 week check up with OB tomorrow - how fast did that go?

its so hard to find time to do things isnt it? i have my shower while andy is in rocker and i leave him outside the door.

Tell me about it Jess - I usually shower with Bailey on his playmat or while he's sleeping.

I am with you re feeding, its just so hard to get up sometimes and by the time you finish a feed/burp/nappy change and get them down to sleep you realise that its only another hour or so until you do it all again. Don't get me wrong I am loving it, but certainly the tiredness seems to be at a peek this week, and am emotional, tired and I think I have a bit of cabin fever - I think I might need to find a mothers group or something

I think the little guy has had a growth spurt (yet again), he is almost out of his 0000 now, only a few fit him, and I think I will have to put him in infant nappies as we have had a few 'accidents' with the newborn ones, I think they are getting a little small. I only have a few days worth left so will use them and then move onto my infant stash

    Hope all are well

    Hi girls!

    Welcome to the new mummies!!!

We had pead appt yesterday and Allira is 100% healthy. Her kidney's are perfect which is great, so the 2 vesseled umbilical cord was just some awesome freaky thing that my body and baby and all the things that made her decided to do. I still can't get over how similar this journey has been to DS. haha. We had to see a pead a few weeks after he was born for ultrasounds aswell because of a possible 'brain ventricle' issue, and it turned out not to be an issue either. At leaat I know my drama queen kids are nice and healthy, but are just keeping me on my toes. haha

All going as well as it has been. We scored 6.5 hours in a row of sleep 2 nights ago! Was fab. Had to get up twice between 9pm and 9am for feeds.... and if I even complain about that I am going to kick myself in the head. We're having a dream run, so girls, remind me of these posts in a few weeks when I come in here all depressed. haha.

Naomi - yay for Bailey's groth spurt! I think Allira is having a simlar thing... with all her sleeping and her massive feeds, she's starting to get a bit long for her 0000 suits... I think she'll be out of them in the next 2 weeks. I am also going to have to move onto my Aldi newborn nappies! Woohoo! The huggies ones were the only ones that fit to begin with, but they are starting to look a little small. Can't wait to use my Aldi nappies... I'm a big fan!

BM - How is Ashley going with his little brother? Lachie is smothering Allira with love... I can't have her out her with me while he is awake. She can only go in her bouncer when Lachie is in bed. Poor kiddie. I miss her, but it's for her own sanity. haha.

BG - welcome! Congrats on the birth of your little girl. Sounds like you had a long experience.

Kat - so glad to hear all is ging well with you. Tell Vic that we are all thinking of her and wishing her a speedy recovery Long labours suck.. I thought mine with DS was bad.

JwithJ - Congrats on Jamie's fantastic weight gain! Well done mummy!
With his conjunctivitis, if you're not already, use breastmilk to squirt onto his eyes. It will help clear them so much quicker. Allira had the same problem... quite a bad case of Conj. but the breastmilk worked wonders!

Krystie - I'm sure you are still going well. You seem to be taking this first time mummy thing all in your stride and doing a wonderful job. Well done.

Well that's about it for me. DS had just gone to bed, so I get 3 hours off. haha. Allira will wake for a feed at around 12.30, so I better get off my bum and get My lunch organised and this room tidied after DS' effort this morning. It's washing free day again today due tot he rain, which means I have to get onto the kitchen instead.... Man I hate dishes and the kitchen in general!

Have a great day! No doubt I'll be back on later.

Hi girls, just a quick post while Kyson is sleeping and I'm on hold with the ATO, lol. Trying to work out where my rudd money is! Looks like it got lost in the mail (lucky me) and they have to reissue it.

Kyson picked up some of my germs and has been a little sad. He's only got it very mild but it still got me worried and upset. When he cries it sounds like he's losing his voice. And when he feeds sometimes I think he has a sore throat because he tries to feed and cry at the same time. It's heartbreaking and had me in tears the other day.

Ooops, he's awake for a feed. Be back soon!!!
