Thanks Guys, we had a great day, Loved the cake, now I just have to hope that the load of washing I currently have in the machine comes out clean (my pants, top, and Bailey clothes all ended up with LOTS of bright red icing on them hahahahahaha). The stain remover got a smashing tonight!!

I was going to do a practice cake this evening, but DH used the last eggs this morning and I didn't realise. Hopefully Bailey is picking me up some in his trolley though

Hi girls,

How are we all? Well Mima has completely dropped her day sleeps now except for the occasional nap in the car. She has however decided to start falling asleep at about 6-6:30 and wakes up at 6-7. She has been asking to go to sleep recently with her 'nigh, nigh' sign, and when she is out she is pretty well out!. She has been doing it for about a month and has been slowly but surely been dropping her night waking down to just one or at a push two but only ever one after I go to sleep. It is amazing how much she has changed! We are having to have dinner ready by 5:30ish tho or else she is to tired. She has even had a couple of sleep thrus which have been true heaven. It is lovely tho that it comes at this point tho because I think I am going to need the extra sleep.... Yesterday I got a

We are so excited! Can't wait. Really hoping and praying that this baby is sticky! DH thinks he is the greatest stud alive. That is 3 pregnancies for 4 months trying now. He doesn't count last month because it was the month after the M/C and so he thinks he is 3/3. I don't really care because I am just so happy.

As I was writing this I thought about how this might effect those of you who are struggling to conceive. I know hearing this might hurt, but I know your hearts are big enough to be happy for me even still and I thought it might insult you all more if I didn't share, for fear it would hurt you all for me to share my news.

I took my test to bed with me last night I was so happy... Love you all so much. My happiness is just so infectious right now I want to just hug and kiss you all!

As has been said before - never hold back your own excitement out of fear of how we might feel. Truth is, yeah, it hurts sometimes, BUT, it's not that i'm not overjoyed for you - it's about me. and yes, i'd be more saddened if you didn't share! We're all grown ups! we all have good days and we all have crappy days - sometimes seeing someone else having a good days is enough to drag us out of our shyte days (well, it is for me anyway) - sooooooooooo, don't feel you need to hide and protect us. Shout your joy from the rooftops babe - this is great news!

Seen lots of comments about people wanting to press the pause button on our two/almost two year olds - and I have to admit that I don't feel this at all - and have never once thought my baby is growing up too quick. I suppose I am not really that keen on babies, toddlers, children yes but babies I find a bit boring. In fact I worry sometimes that I will want to just hand Stirling over to DH all the time so I can spend time with CJ as she is just so much more interesting. I mean I found her kind of interesting when she was little but that was because it was all new - I worry a bit that I will be wishing away Stirling's babyhood because I like the older phases (prob 18 months plus) more. When I imagine him, I imagine a 22 month old and find it hard to think of a baby. In the forum I see so many references about not wanting babies to grow up, maybe I should start a thread about my issue surely I can't be the only person who feels this way - am sure once he is here it will be fine.

Had a funny day here today - DD has a bit of a cold and has been very demanding and is always me she wants, we went to MCG for Hawks vs Geelong this arvo, and despite fact have membership couldn't get a seat in the area we normally sit and no one could tell us where we would get a seat, and the thought of going home had me almost in tears in the lift with the steward and then I did have a little cry when eventually found DH and DD who had managed to find seats all the way round other side of stadium. God knows what the people sat next to us thought. Feel slightly silly now that I was crying about not being able to watch the footy!

I would love to have another bub, but if I can't have one then I'll live vicariously through other people's pregnancy news and pictures of their newborns How cute is your DH thinking he's such a stud, hehe. Maybe let him know that you've managed to get 3/3 eggs, while he's managed to get 3 out of hundreds of millions of sperm, lol. Then tell him that seeings you're the one with such an amazing ratio that he should buy you something extra special, or at least give you one super special massage, hehe. I have no idea what gender you are hoping for (or even if you have a preference), but for some reason I could really imagine Jemima with a little sister

Vic, I know what you mean sweetness. While a lot of the time I do wish I could press pause (on both the kids!), the rest of the time I am so excited about all the new things they do and how they are growing up. I bet that once Stirling is here you will love sitting with him in yours arms while you play games with CJ, because that's what I love. I get to snuggle my newbie while I play with such an interesting and amusing toddler.

Vic - My DH is the same as you, he LOVES the age Bailey is now, and I think he found early babyhood a little boring compared to toddlerdom. But me, ahhhh, I got teary the night before Bailz turned 2 as he really is growing up seemingly in the blink of an eye. I think though that my longing for another baby is perhaps what contributes to the majority of those feelings. Funnily enough though, a growing toddler is much easier than a newborn - much more independent, easier to read and work out what they want (especially as they can tell you hahahahaha) and very self sufficient at times, so there is LOTS to love about this age.

Having said that, I would love a pause button sometimes, I've caught myself using that saying a number of times

Kyson started back at his swimming lessons yesterday. He's started in the 2 year old class and he's now in the warmish kids pool, and not in my favorite super warm hydropool, lol. He did rather well considering he's the youngest in the group, took a term off, and also the class is very different so he was doing all new things. He really is a little water baby

We took Shayla in the warm pool and she loved it. She was so super chill even when I lay her on her back with her ears in the water, and I even swam her under the water a couple of times and she was fine with that too! I just hope that there was no one in the pool who is lactose intolerant because I looked down at one point and realised I was leaking breastmilk, LOL!!!


Well tomorrow is THE DAY! My "little guy" turns two! I've already had a teary about it in the car last friday, so I'm sure I'll have another little cry tomorrow too. I think the reason I get upset is because all the growing up stuff is still to come and I still get to enjoy it, but this stage that he's at now is slipping away and I'll never get to enjoy that with him again. Does that make sense? For example, he calls Thomas "dit dit" (no idea why, lol) and at some stage he's going to stop calling him that and just call him Thomas, so that'll be another thing that he won't ever do again that I'll miss I really do love watching him grow though. He now walks around the house singing a little song that I made up. I sing it to him every night when he goes to bed, and Bobby adopted it as well. But it starts with "Mummy/Daddy loves you" and he walks around singing it and it's so precious!

i can so understand where you're at KL! I love where E is at now. I miss the baby stuff and knowing that she is never going to learn that basic stuff again (like rolling and crawling, and her first words) but now she surprises me every single day with something new (and usually unexpected). i think this is such an amazing stage developmentally. i'm looking forward to seeing where she goes from here, but at the same time, i'm sad that we'll lose this stage as well.

she has learnt that "peeeez" (please) gets her much more of what she wants, and the way her face lights up when she realises she has to say it is just too cute
after every meal, i wash her face, hands and hair with a cloth, roughing her up in the process. she loves it. now no one else can clean her up the same as mummy.
after dinner i usually clean her up, then stand her in the highchair and take her bib off (LOVE the plastic bib) singing "shake your bootie" while i brush her legs off. last night she started wiggling her little tushie going "bootie bootie" after i said it - so cute! she has been running around the house "bootie bootie" and shaking her bum ever since!

So true! We were at a party on Friday and Kyson had already eaten two mini cupcakes. Then sat there looking at me saying "cake peeeez, cake peeeez". There was no way I could say no, lol!!!
