ive got a snot monster (tyron) and a sick 3yr old atm. end up taking Nixon to hospital yesterday as his temp kept jumping to high 39's every 4hrs when meds would wear off. he wasnt weeing much either. its just a viral infection so mot much can be done but its horrible to see him so sick and pumping full of so much drugs constantly for 3 days now.
Nic - so sorry to hear about your puppy dog . I felt really sad for you when I read your post Animals become so much a part of the family don't they and its never easy saying goodbye, especially when its so sudden.
All is good this end. We had a quick trip to Mt Gambier which is about 6ish hours from Melbourne on the weekend. My parents who now live in Adelaide, are moving back there. They brought a house last week and we thought it was a good opportunity to catch up with them and my sisters. Its my dad's birthday on Sunday, which is also Mother's Day and I wont get to see them for that!
It was a nice get away and we had the best sleep on Saturday night. It was worth the long drive just for that sleep! The kids were really well behaved and travelled well. Its such a long trip for them, thank god for the dvd player in the car and books to keep them entertained.
No other news really. We had a good nights sleep again, Mia has had a bit of a break through after some tough love with her sleeping and stayed in her bed again all night last night. Taygan was awake between 4.30 and 6am and then went back to sleep until 8am. I am guessing she will have a morning sleep today, but will see how she goes.
Oh I did have some news. I had a blood test on Thursday to see why my AF hasn't arrived and then Friday it did anyway (40 days between cycles). Typical. But it has shown that I am still not ovulating. So, the gynie has decided to put me on clomid after all. We have an appointment to see her in June, hopefully earlier if there is a cancellation. This making baby No 3 business is really hard work. Who would have thought after falling pregnant so easily 3 times, we would be struggling so much. It blows me away.
Nic - I'm so sorry to hear about your beautiful dog, it's so devastating to lose a much loved furry family member. I hope your boys get better soon, it's awful when they're both sick.
Kaz - Sounds like you had a great weekend away . Woohoo on Mia sleeping well!
Saffi - It's amazing how they're vocabulary suddenly gets bigger! K has been learning heaps of new words all of a sudden too.
Amber - How are you feeling atm? I hope you haven't had too much m/s.
Mo - Good luck at the paediatrician today, let us know how you go.
Amelia - Your names choices sound great . You're finding out the gender aren't you? I can't remember! How long until your scan?
Kellie - I'm hopefully going to the B&K market in Camberwell on the 17th of May. If you go, let me know and we'll try and meet up
We're all pretty sick with colds atm. K has been waking up heaps o'night with it. Yesterday he was so tired that I put him down for a nap at 10:30am and he slept for 3 hours! No such luck today, he just woke up after an hour and a half. He and Joel have been playing so well together lately, they absolutely love each other. K has finally learned to say "Joel" now, it's so cute . I'm so glad they have each other, it will be fun to add another one to to it all!
