DH met a woman that used to be the UN commissioner for women and she is looking at starting something here in melbourne that is based on womens rights and campaigning against trafficking of women and girls and well, has asked me to send her an email man, i hope that this could turn into something, especially as i am currently reading "half the sky: how to change the world" (which is all about how empowering and educating women around the world is one of the more effective steps in alleviating world poverty and violence etc....Oprah i think once had the authors on her show). anyway, i am excited but dont want to get my hopes up, but it all does seem like a cool coincidence that i am reading this book and then this lady turns up
