iandh, I am in Brisbane too, near Chermside.
Nell, I am certainly not enjoying teaching like I used to. Just like you said, they just keep giving us more and more to do on top of planning and teaching and I just feel overwhelmed. That combined with my wanting to just be home with the boys makes it pretty painful. Even if I don't end up doing the PT training I won't be going back to teach for a number of years after the next bub.
Do you think you will really go for the half marathon? It is just sooo much further than the 10km runs I have been doing. I wish there was something in between. My trainer did her first marathon last weekend... I just can't imagine how painful it must be to run 42 kms!
Anyway... we had the rest of our floors polished over the last school holidays, so the whole house is now timber floors. I went and bought a big shaggy rug for the lounge this morning and the boys have been rolling all over it ever since. I would probably lie on it too if I was smaller.
I took Edward's measurements for the first time in ages and he is now 13kg and 83cm tall. I checked Byron's red book and they are almost exactly the same size at the same age. Lucky their faces aren't any more similar or we wouldn't be able to tell who was who in their photos. It is hard enough anyway... Edward is usually wearing Byron's hand-me-downs, so they are even dressed the same.
Better go, I have LOTS of washing to do. Geez little boys go through a lot of clothes each week!! Hope you are all well.
