Hi All!
Back early from my city working three days, it was just horrendous! Needless to say Im reluctant to do it again, no matter how nice the money is. DH kept Beau up last night till 8:30pm when I got home so I could smother him with kisses! The scan went really well on Thursay and we got a disc of images and a dvd and a cool 4d shot - so cute, he is wiggling heaps now and I can feel him a lot more - especially when I didnt sleep a wink on Thursday night away from home! Poor little thing knew mumma was stressed too!
Kris - Ah what a releif your scan went well. Great news, love the name too - Anne is my middle name as well! Pretty popular one that! Would love an IRL catch up too! Should be the retreat in QLD I went to - so amazing!
Kel- I agree with the girls, thats what we are here for hon! Let rip whenever you want. I have a friend up here that has had her second bub six months ago and just cant get it together since, emotionally or anything else. They offered her drugs too but she has opted for a councellor and has her second session this week. I honestly beleive your hormones dont return to normal until you stop bf'ing too - its like a 2yr rollercoaster hey? Enjoy your holidays and get onto those kids routines with DH to support you and get some rest.
Mel- Hope you had a great time once you caught up with your old friends, hope your DH has had crap nights sleeps while he is away too (is that mean?)!
Dis - Beau has always been big 4.3kg when he was born and he would be at least 17kg now, I have three big football size brothers so its not surprising, DH is quite small as are his bros? Who knows? I cant remember how much he weighed when Jared's age:D I would reccomend the toddler beds. I just upsized B's one from Ikea on ebay and the bed and the mattress cost $20. About $200 new so not expensive either way really - I did it cause I keep looking at the spare single bed and it just looks too big for him when the new bub comes, and his old toddler bed is the base of the cot for the new baby IYKWIM? B can tell you what goes in a cake, including "banilla" (vanilla), he loves baking and I just bought some dinosaur cut outs for cookies, just like his dad, little chef!
Seems to be lots of nightmares happening with the older ones atm on here? Us too here! Weird huh? Love to know what they are nightmares of as they have so many worries!

Hi all!
Mel, yep, thinking I most probably have depression :( I have thought it for a while but just trying to deal with it myself I guess, either that or living in denial! I am going to the dr tomorrow to see what she will do for me. The sleep thing is a big issue, but I think I still have some sort of issue. I did some survey things on the beyond blue website and it says I have mild- mid range depression. Anyway, I'm gonna deal with it!
I hope your weekend was ok after your crappy night. Did DH get home today? Or tomorrow?
LOL @ Olivia telling you where her breaky needed to go...Lily does that all the time "I don't like it mummy I put in the bin"...little brat. She's talking sooo much now. She's such a parrot....lol, I told her she was a parrot today and she went to DH and said 'I a carrot Da' then when we laughed at her she gave this huge fake laugh, it was soo funny!!
Kris, sorry I didn't say it before , but congrats again!! Yayyyyy at your STICKY little bubba in your tum!!
Dis, how is Tuesday for you then? But again, where? I would rather a play centre somewhere cause then I don't have to worry about Lily as much as if we were at a park and she could run free! I wouldn't be able to sit and talk at all! Ooohh, I'm excited, lol!
I hope J's tummy is better.
Jen, Yay you got home early. It must be lonely here on your own. THough I'm sure you have friends to visit. And yayyyy your scan went well too. How exciting that he is a squirmy wormy now! That is always the best part of pg for me, when I could feel bubs move, but before it gets uncomfy, lol!
I have no idea why my emotions have gone sooo haywire all of a sudden (hence why I'm still wondering if I could be pg!). Although I wasn't necessarily my 'normal' self before (whatever that is anymore!) I was able to get through most weeks without crying. This week...holy sheep *****...I have been crying at the drop of a hat. Yesterday I started cause I couldn't go see my girlfriend in hossy. She just had her baby and was going home from hospital so it was useless to go to the hospital. I can go this week to see them, I have time off work, and she's going to try to come to Liam's bday party this weekend, so it's not like I won't be seeing her, but OMG, I just lost it and couldn't get my emotions in check. DH got cranky with me cause I couldn't talk to him and tell him why I was crying. He was frustrated andtrying to help me. But I really had no idea what to tell him. I jsut kept telling him I was being stupid. Which I was. Rationally I knew that, but I just COULD NOT stop it. I sobbed for like an hour. Absolutely ridiculous!
Ok, that's enough from me. Gotta go to bed...lotsa luv to all!! :D

Hi!
Dis - We bought bunk beds for the boys but they're seperate at the moment and then we can put them up later on - if that makes sense! We can't fit any other furniture in their room at the moment though - LOL! It doesn't really matter though because they don't spend any time in there cos we have a toy room (for now!)
Sounds like the boys love their swimming! It is a big effort - I used to take the 2 of them and had Dylan in the pram watching while I swam with Louis and then swapped over! LOL! I don't know where I got my energy from - LOL! Especially when I was p/g!!! It's worth it for all the fun they have though!!
Oh no on Jared being up for an hour and a half!!!! Does he cry if you put in back in the cot or will he just play??? Sometimes Ethan chats with himself but eventually dozes off...
Yeah on going on holidays - how fun!!! We were going to go to gold coast next year but will put it off for another year now...
Ben sounds very gorgeous helping you with the cooking!!
Mel - I don't know if it's just p/g brain but it took me so long to work out the numberplates - LOL!!!!!!!
I HATE it when dh decides to do something "important" right at dinner/bath time - drives me crazy too!
You poor thing having such a rotten weekend with no sleep!! Hmm...after Ethan sleeping through for 4 days he's been unsettled the last 3 again - lots of night feeds as well - little buggers aren't they?? I had definitely weaned Louis and Dylan by now and never went back to night feeds...
Hope the creams work for poor Olivia...
Hope you had a nice time out with your friends and that it made up for it!!! Also, hope dh is back and you put him on kiddie duty for a night so he knows what it feels like - LOL!!!
Kel - Big hugs to you...I agree with the girls - probably best to see someone if you feel things aren't improving!
Good on you for taking a day for yourself though!!
My kids are addicted to tv...I always swore I would not be a mum that let her kids watch tv all day and that's exactly what I am at the moment!!! It's awful...but sometimes it's the only way to keep my sanity and get things done - over summer it won't be so bad but then I suppose I'll have a new baby after that so it will be a winter of tv again next year...LOL! I suppose there are worse things???
I hope you manage some rest while your dh is on holiday!!!
Jen - Sorry to hear work wasn't great...Yeah on having a good scan! That's great!! Yeah on bubs moving around - It's the best feeling isn't it!!
As for us - Michael finally told his Mum on Sat that we're p/g...it went ok...they're just worried about us. It's so funny, he's been quite negative about a lot of things and when he's Mum started saying them, he just went - we'll be ok, it's happening now, everything will be fine...so I guess my positivity really rubbed off on him - LOL!!! He even sat down researching cars yesterday so he's got his head around it a lot more! Our house was a pigsty from me in la la land for a couple of weeks so he helped me tidy it up yesterday...yes - would you believe it took us the DAY just to tidy it!!! No housework, just tidying...it's so nice this morning to wake up to an organised house though thats for sure!!
I'm feeling well, tired but m/s has already mostly eased off and that was my only symptom really...
Got to go - this has taken ages and boys are feral - hope I haven't left anyone out! chat later!
-
Hey...just a quick one from me. Last night was just as crappy. I am so ****ty. DH didnt get much sleep. Liv is home today with snots and a cough. I just sold my xtrainer that i got a few months ago and rang dh to tell him and hes not happy. I told him i dont use it, i cant use it coz liv stands on it when i do and i need to pay the credit card coz we buy crap that we dont need...ie number plates for the stupid car. So hes cracked it with me and virtually hung the phone up on me. I dont know if i want to cry of punch something...cry probably coz i dont do punches!!
Hope all is well.
Glad you are going to see your gp kel.
Jen I was up again with liv with nightmares again...every night! Glad things are going well with your pg
Who was talking about bunks? We only have the one room so i was thinking we might get them for christmas...would liv be too young to be on top and Bec too young to be in a big bed at 13months???
-
Big hugs Mel!! You poor thing...I'm sure you guys will sort it all out...it's hard when things get overwhelming sometimes - especially financially! The bad nights sleep you've been getting and dh being away wouldn't be helping things at all either...I hope you manage to have a bit of a relax today - I know, you probably won't but I hope you do!!
I was talking about bunks Mel - Yep...too early to have them for the kiddies...They actually say about 8yo for kids on the top bunk now...something like that anyway...I would probably keep Becca in a cot for a little longer than 13m but that's just a personal opinion...Obviously I've had them in single beds pretty early on - usually around 20 months when the next bubs has come along - Ethan will have to go in a big bed about 18 months this time though...
Got to go - am meant to be going to Cindy's today and I am not ready at all...we're all still in our pj's! LOL!
Chat later!
-
Mel, Sorry you had such a crappy night. Have a good cry, it works wonders sometimes. Becca is probably having a growth spurt - sounds exactly like the week I had two weeks ago. I was at my wits end and J decided to go back to normal - just in time.
I think Liv will be too little for bunks too. We're looking at bunks separated like Kris has, or maybe a toddler bed for a while. Ben went into his single bed at 18/19 months, we just have a rail on the side so he doesn't fall out.
Kris, so glad Michael has come around for you - we all knew he would :) Sounds like your inlaws might be a good source of support.
Kel, tomorrow is good. We could go to Lollipops. There is one at Campbelltown or we could go to the one nearer you? Let me know.
I'm really glad to hear that you are seeing your GP :)
Jen, sounds like you had an awesome scan! It's great when you can see them moving around a lot. 20-22 weeks is pretty much the ONLY time I enjoyed my pregnancies! I was sick for about 20 weeks with both my two and then they started getting too energetic and hurt me from around 22 weeks. I had two acrobats and boy could they move!
Us, we've had a flat-out busy weekend. The boys are so exhausted today - as I am. We're having a jammie day :) I even had a shower and got back into my pjs  Ben's just watching tele. We had his cousins over yesterday. I can tell you now, that five kids for us is DEFINITELY out of the question! Far out - how exhausting! Ben had a ball though, he loves playing with older kids (they are 3, 5 and 8). Saturday we went shopping and I went to an Intimo party. I loved it! I'm even thinking of hosting one and playing with the idea of selling the stuff! I've never held so much as a Tupperware party in my life, so you can tell I liked the stuff. It's not often I find nice bras that fit my 12F boobies! I don't know if I have enough of an outgoing personality to do it though, I'm a bit shy around new people. Kris, I think you have a party plan business don't you? Any advice?
Better go feed the boys and see if I can get Ben away from the tele for a sleep :)
-
Wow i didnt realise that 8yrs was for the top of the bunk. Gees we're in trouble then. We only have the one room for the kids. Maybe the reno is going to come sooner than expected!
DH came home briefly and really didnt bat an eyelid...just noticed the trainer had gone already. I told him i put the $$ on the credit card. Didnt say a word. I have just been to the local shopping centre with my 2 nightmare girls. bec cried and grizzled and didnt want a feed, didnt want lunch. Liv did several runners, some flop and drops and loads of screaming. Managed to get a few bits but took the wrong script to fill.
Hope its a growth spurt with Bec or settles when the top tooth is through. Am almost at witts end....nah, they would have to drive me completely insane to get there! Plus...am still thinking about the third!!!!
-
Helloooo!!!
Good to see everyone has been on here for a chat yay!
Dis- Yeah, I must admit I am starting to be more excited now if that makes sense, now that everything is going ok....have to get started on stripping the wallpaper in the "boys" rooms (love saying that!) as Beau will be swapping rooms too:D Glad you had a busy weekend, hope the boys are nice and tired for you today LOL!
Mel- Wow, your Dh should be happy you are so frugal and responsible with money (I guess its cause you do the books huh?) Sorry you are having a crappy time with the girls atm, at least you are still clucky! How are your tingly boobs? Mine have started to do that occaisonal familiar "filling up" feeling whiich is a bit thrilling! As for bunks, check out the Ikea website? Maybe a trundle bed? I dont know! Its hard when they start getting bigger isnt it?!?
Kris - Good on your Dh for responding that way to your inlaws, must be great to hear him say it out loud. Glad you guys got your house tidyed up! I just cleaned all 40 thousand of our windows and feel better for it - now the floors....
Kel- Let us know how you go with your doctor, I think when you just feel crap about everything, one tiny little thing that usually you would shrug off opens the flood gates, thats pretty classic depression or PND. I think you will feel loads better once you vocalise it to a professional and get started feeling better.
Us - Ok I am going to make you laugh at my placenta brain. On Thursday when I was going to the city I got on the wrong train in a rush after the ultrasound at a strange station, going the wrong way and locked in the carriage that didnt open a the platforms for many stops I rang DH in tears and he came and picked me up and took me BACK to the original station THEN on Friday when I was having an absolute horror time at work (I stayed the night with the lady I work for and she whinged NON stop about her husband/business/life and cried about 20 times even in front of her kids) I didnt sleep at all that night and felt like crap the next morning, so then she left to take her son to the doctors and I sent a text to DH complaining about her and what a crap time I was having then I sent the text to HER by mistake. Beat that PG brain!:D:D:D
-
Wow Jen....i would cry/go mad with catching the wrong train and then having to put up with that lady!! Are you going to post some pics up of you on fb? Love to see your belly:)
Will check out ikea. If we had one other room it would be nice and then i wouldnt worry about bunks. Oh and yes, my dh loves to just pend..especially on the car of his. His number plates turned up today so hes excited! So with what I sold on ebay, I now have paid that off.
Better get off here and do some work!
-
I need to befriend you guys on Facebook! I'm Melinda Blackmore if any of you want to search for me :)
-
Hey Mel is that you with the drink or with mickey mouse?
-
Hi girls,
Well, I didn't go to the dr  Only because I have been to'ing and fro'ing all day! I would have had to have gone to work pick Lil up from day care, Liam up from mums, dropped them at home and then gone to the dr. I will go though I promise. I have been much better today, no tears :) but I still have the tension headaches and feel yuck. I'm not avoiding it.
Kris, I always swore that I wouldn't let my kids watch too much tv too, but they do. They're tv addicts! So is DH though so that doesn't help.
Mel, sorry you had another crappy nite. It sucks huh? Especially when you're used to getting decent sleep! I hope you can catch up.
DH and I looked at getting bunks for our kids too, but they're too young for them, so what we got was an ensemble with a trundle. The trundle is smaller than a normal single bed, but that won't matter for Liam. He will be able to use it til he's a big boy! That is once we get him into it, lol! Lily went into her big girl bed at about 18mths I think and she did ok in it. She just looked sooo tiny in it! I will wait til Liam is sleeping through to put him into his bed though, so who knows when that will be??!!
Dis, great!! We will see you tomorrow. DH said he will come too if that's ok? He's on holidays and said he'd planned on taking the kids to wiggles playcentre tomorrow anyway. He can chase the kids :). We can go to Campbelltown, thats fine. Maybe at 10.30ish? Is that ok. I will PM you my mobile number anyway.
If you want to friend me on FB, I am Kellie Slade. I have a pic of me and Lil as my profile.
Ok gotta go, sorry to those I missed! Lily is haveing a major tanty and DH is screaming at ther like a banshee!
-
Kel, I'm so excited about tomorrow!
Mel, I'm the one with Mickey - of course!
-
ooops...i did the other one!!!! der!
Just another delightful night, dh has gone to ses training and although its noble of him to volunteer after the fires we had, i said to him that he just seems to help everyone else and we are put on the back burner. I suggested that he should wait til the girls are older and then go volunteer. Dont think that quite went in! Then he said he was going to ice hockey training at 1015 I just scoffed at him. When will it sink in? My husband is the most kind, caring and helpful person. Is always the first to offer a hand. However, I just seem to be loosing in those stakes. I suppose its not something he enjoys? I dont know? A good talk is needed tonight.
Both girls are snotty. Bec is revoltingly so. Olivia just went to bed fighting and cried herself to sleep. I hate that. She was overtired but insisted taking off her clothes and jumping in the shower with me...what do i do. SO I had both of them crying and wanting me. Its harder now becs moving she crawls up to me and on me. I comletely forgot about it!
Ok have a good night...wishing you all beautiful sleep
Oh and Kel....I know you were busy, but when you have time when your dh is on holidays....go see the dr:) Or I'll....come and get you and take you there myself!
-
Hi!
Dis - My IL's are ok but they're 2 1/2 hours away so not really good as a close support...they're nice enough but they just worry too much...always bringing up the negatives which just gets tiring sometimes...Like his mum will say things like - Oh, but you've got 3 healthy boys - what happens if this one's not??? You know...stuff like that you really don't want to hear iykwim?
Wow - sounds like you did have a busy weekend!! Sounds like fun though - yeah at having a pj day today!!
Regarding the Intimo stuff - go for it!! You'll be fine - it takes all different sorts of people to do party plan - you don't have to be a loud, crazy person - I'm certainly not! You'll get heaps out of it though, even if you don't want a "career" as such...you'll meet people, get all the products for cheap and make a few $$...I'm actually just giving up mine...too much with no.4 coming..I just don't have the time or energy for it but I'm really glad I did it - I learnt heaps and met some great people!
We had a great arvo out at Cindy's - the boys played well...it was nice to get out of the house - dh has gone out for the night but was in a super happy mood when he got home which was nice for a change - LOL!
They all had late naps though so have been troublesome to get to sleep...all sounds quiet now though so hopefully it stays that way!!
Chat later!
Just realised I've had this page open all day with no updates...LOL! I shall quickly update everyones chatterboxing - LOL!
Mel - Wow - sounds like your coping really well considering you still want your 3rd baby! LOL! They all go through stages though!!
Sounds like a good idea to have a talk - You need to make sure that you're getting what you need from him and then he can do the other things in his time...I know dh used to go out probably around 3 nights a week before kids but now we have an agreement he goes out once a week...twice if there's a good reason...It's something we both agreed on - just the same as he baths the kids each night and puts the older 2 to bed...it's now second nature to him but initially I often had to prompt him or nag (just a little - LOL!) It's worth the persistance...it's too easy to give up when it seems difficult but trust me, that's way worse!! You don't want your relationship breeding resentment!!!! You may have to have this conversation regularly because it doesn't seem to be sinking in but if they think they can get away with stuff they will...just be persistant...honestly, it's just like dealing with children!
I know I crap on about this all the time but I think it's really important...I see so many people in relationships that aren't really working out that great or are having troubles and most of this stuff can be relatively easy to fix...
Anyway...I hope you have a good chat and get some stuff sorted!! xoxoxoxox
Ooh I love Jen's trundle bed idea!! That might be worth looking into!
Jen - Did you just say clean windows??? OMG... you crazy woman!!! I've never cleaned windows in my life - perhaps I should...but it just never manages to make it on to my to-do list!! LOL!
OMG at sending the text message to the wrong person - what happened?????? Did you freak out???? You poor thing catching the wrong train - how good of dh to come and get you!! No wonder you were so relieved to get home!!
Kel - Hope you and Dis have a great time catching up tomorrow - wish I was there with you guys!!!
-
mmm I must be doing something wrong....you get dh to bath them and put them to bed every night. I do that. I didnt have a chat because he was out when i went to bed. Last night was crap. Becs got a bad cold and ended in with us and tossed and turned all night long and now shes been awake for a while.
Better go...
-
Mel, definitely get you DH to start at least bathing the kids! Craig does the boys' baths every night. It's the ONE thing he can really do with Jared - the big mummy's boy. I get my peace and quiet for half an hour - an hour every night. Usually I cook dinner, but at least I don't have the kids wanting me while I'm trying to do it.
Gotta run. Jared's still asleep so I should feed Ben and get him ready for our meet up with Kel while I just have the one to worry about!
-
OMG who's idea was it to get my kids into their beds? I have no idea why I thought this would be a good idea???? I was up 3 times with Liam by the time it was 2am, but at each time I was rocking him for up to an hour to get him back into the cot. He ended up in bed with me. I fed him at 2am and just left him in bed with me. DH was in bed with Lil, so I left Li with me. DH was up 3 times with Lily, and up at 5am for the day with her. OMG, I don't know if this is a very good idea!!!! DH is sooo grumpy. I keep on telling him it will only be for a week or so and he's just going on and on and on. Now he's debating if we should do it at all cause we got so little sleep last night. I don't mind so much either way, though it would be nice to have things back to normal.....ugh, decisions!
Hugs Mel. I know the feeling :(
DH makes a big fuss about bathing our kids. It's such a hassle for him to do it. He will make such a hoohar about the fact he's done it and sigh and tell me it's so hard. It is tough with the two of them, but it's gotta be done, and I do it almost every night! I even get everything ready for him to do it- pj's &, nappies laid out, towels, toothbrushes, heater on...he just has to bath and dress them.
LOL, Dis my kids are both still half naked.....
