We have a similar sleep pattern, bed at about 9.30, one long sleep and then every three hours before the girls are up at 7.30. They are both sleeping through now which helps, at first they were unsettled with a new baby in the house. Will is in the lounge room as he is very noisy, it just makes the house seem very messy.
Not looking forward to packing but I am hoping we can declutter and throw out a lot of stuff.
How are the your kids coping with a new baby in the house? It must be easier when they are older.
I think the house just naturally gets messier when you have a baby no matter where they are. We don't have room for Molly to have her own room, so she is in with us, so its pretty busy in our room too! I feel like I am constantly tidying up. I have been trying to declutter since before she was born.. hmm.. must try and get that sorted. The kids are fine, they love her. My husbands kids see her every week or two when they are here. My daughter loves keeping her entertained if I have to do things around the house, and my son, who is 14, is just starting to interact with her and even asked to hold her the other day, and admitted he thought she was cute, which was a huge milestone!
I have finally found the time to post - wow arent things hectic with a new born!!! Jack is doing well - he has gone from 3kg at birth to 4.5kg at exactly one month old. I am no longer expressing milk to feed him - he is on formula Karicare - as my milk just wasnt enough and then started to dry up around 4wks unfortunately.
EL - can i ask you pls about the controlled crying or anyone else that wants to share would be good - do you practice this through the daytime also? When you put baby down if he starts to cry straight away do you soothe them a bit while he is still laying there before leaving the room? I have been rocking Jack to sleep each time he is fussy so the thought of putting him to bed awake i just know will bring tears.... any suggestions??? Also, how long do you let them cry for?

Skitten hi there, glad you are home and well and finding time to post.. life is hectic for sure with a new baby. I did controlled crying with my son but that was 14 years ago, and he was 6 months at the time i think, though i went to a specialised place for it and stayed two nights. Molly usually falls alseep feeding, and if not, i rock/pat her to sleep. Just do whatever works for you, if you are happy to rock or pat to sleep, do that, but if you want to do controlled crying, i am sure someone can help with that.

I'm having a HORROR DAY!!!!
I have NO idea what is wrong with my little man today, but sleep is elusive and poor Jack is just sooooo tired and worked up. I guess it seems worse because he's usually so chilled out, maybe it's the 3 week curse everyone's been warning me about?!!! I've tried feeding him, rocking him patting him, wrapping him, all the bedtime cues for him... he's been catnapping all day, and I know it's because sleep cycles are short, but he's fully waking up after each one! By the time I get him settled and to sleep, it's been 2-3 hours and it's time for his next feed. Poor thing.
Hoping the reset button shows itself before tonight!
I have finally found the time to pop in for a quick chat. Jack Darren was born on the 31st of August at 4:17pm after a quick 3 hour labour. My waters broke in the morning at about 6am and contractions did not start until about 1pm. I had no pain relief, he was so big his face rubbed on my tail bone and as a result he came out all bruised. He was 9p 4 oz. He is now almost 3 weeks old and nearlt weighs 5kg already he is a little porker!!!!!! He is BF like a little trooper, like he has been doing it forever.
Thats all I have time for its school holiday's here and raining so you can imagine what the kids are like LOL!!!!
