lol you guys crack me up!
slap for shells DF from me as well LOL- hope the colds stay get better soon- love the vapourisers here as well!

Hey did everyone see the moon- hmmm explains why our bubs have been unsettled- they should settle down in the next nite or so - hopefully!! DD has just fallen asleep now so it afffects big kids as well as little bubs! The wind and the moon are not our friend when it comes to unsettled bubs!

OP- i miss you!!!! Feel like i havent seen you for ages- only be 2 weeks but it seems like a lot longer- hanging to see you all next week when the kids are back at school!
hugs and every hour. I was 12am finally went down, 3.30am, 4.30am and 6.30 am . I ended up watching a bit of the Michael Jackon tribute- but not by choice lol
The nite before i had 3 hours between DD going to sleep for the nite and DS1 waking for the day!!!! Ho Hum- bring on school!! Whoot on princess starting solids- they are fun hey! Try the Rafferty's garden bananna porridge with her- it tastes yum- i mix it with the rafferty's rice cereal so its half and half- just makes it so its not so runny and a bit tastier. Boof is having a big bowl of it for breaky/lunch as well as a bowl of fruit and then having dinner which is a bowl of vegies and then a bowl of fruit again! He tanks it!
Only hassle is it takes him around an hour to eat each meal- he doesnt stop except to have a drink of water. Have you tried Isabel with a sippy cup yet? Got the Nuby one and its ACE! He loves it esp with cold water in it as he can bite the spout and its soft and nice on his gums. Hugs on fights with DH- having a baby is such a strain- esp when you are sleep deprived- in the light of the day - it will be OK!!! HUGS!!!

Tarkaine- so sorry to hear about the grr and the will- karma will get them!!

AJP- so admire all the baking you are doing. I look at your facebook status and get inspired for a whole 3 seconds and then go nah- lol! I think i am the only person i know that has gingerbread making kits that have expired- the thought is there lolol

Ali- september will come around soo quickly- definately 2 days will be HEAPS! Enjoy the time now !!! I love being home with the kids. Although i was starting to enjoy working again when i was Preggie with boof- i so prefer being at home! I am suppose to be still working- and i am bits and pieces- but got my role now as a delegating position, rather than a managing position.

Megimoppit- whoo hoo to DH for bringing home an ice-cream- i get you with the cot acrobatic. One day i went in there and boof had wedged himself so far up the cot that i thought that he wasnt even in it- my heart skipped a beat for a second until i saw him- he was just sorta blending in the the end of the cot lol

Nai- ouch on DD1 tongue- lol at having an icey pole in winter- my DS1 is the same- he loves icypoles. But then again so do it!!!

Kaz- whoot on the patting working. Hopefully J settles down to sleeping well at nite again soon. Hang in there! I have an acquarium in boof's cot and he loves that on- sends him straight to sleep!

    Hugs to everyone else!!
AFM- surviving the school hols- been out heaps - thank goodness boof sleeps anywhere. although the poor thing has grown out of his capsule, but i am suppose to be getting a new car very soon so havent got the car seat put in instead yet, so he is sleeping heaps in his pram when out and about now! He is getting soo heavy- really notice his weight in my arm- i would be surprise if he is close to 10kg now. Still got the 3 rolls on the legs going lol. Have hardly been sleeping- even by my standards. Going to bed at 3am - starting to get dizzy when my head finally hits the pillow as it is so tired - oops. Gotta try and get to bed early!!!! Mind you its nearly midnite now - ah well i guess that is early for me!
time to go- gotta check out my farms in farmtown and then washing and bed!!!
    mwah!!!!

Ali - That sucks you have to go back to work soon - a couple of days a week shouldn't be too bad. ikwym about arguing out of tiredness too! I hope Ash doesn't get too unsettled by the shots. No idea if that was it for Jacob - he had them on Wed and started being unsettled on Friday so I dunno.
Nai - I hope your DD is not put off pineapple for life now! I had that acid burn thing. It's horrible.
Det - What do you mean an acquarium in boof's cot? Was that a typo?
Meg - for your dh bringing back icecream!
Shell - So glad you got some kid-free time to yourself! Your Df prolly has had enough slaps from us girls over the vaporiser but next time he does something like that, give him a slap from me! I'll get in early and give you a reserve one to pass on when needed! Hope the vaporiser works. I feel so lucky cause Jacob hasn't had a cold yet (but then I think, he's not developing any immunity either and we live in a very cold climate town!).
AJP - Glad you had a good night darl. Hope they continue for you.
Tarkine - Hi darl! How's A? What are you reading right now? Last night I started reading Dr. Spock Bought it out of interest when preg and that Baby doco was on telly

AFM - A better night here, although he was awake for over 4 hours in the evening I was too tired to care in the end Finally down at about 9pm, fed at 1am and 6am and then 9am. He needed the dummy reinserted a few other times but there was no screaming thank god.
ETA - last night was his first full night in the cot I feel very sad, even though he's only across the hall and it's about 6 paces from my bed to his.

Well Miss E has still been doing 40 min day sleeps, so I followed some advice from a friend on another forum I am on, and it worked to a T - Got her down for 1 hr 45 this morn. THen we were out so she slept in the car this arvo. I am hoping that the advice that she has given for the overnight works too.....

I worked today. Good to have the exta $$$.

    2 days dummy free now.

I hope everyone has better nights tonight. Don't you wish sometimes that you were rich enough to have a nanny for some respite overnight. Maybe just once or twice a week

Hi girls, quick one from me.

Took DD to get her 4mth vax today, she screamed blue murder but then seemed to be okay. My normal doctor is on 4wks holidays so I saw a male doctor who was fantastic. He was much older than my other doctor but seemed to know his stuff and also was very supportive of continuing to bf and just said a couple of other things that made me think he was very 'new mum friendly'. Just got DD to bed and gave her some panadol.

She is def teething. She's had really rosy cheeks the past 2 days and it is like a fountain of dribble coming out of her mouth!!

I got the Nuby sippy cup today. Might try a bit of EBM in it tomorrow if I can be bothered expressing tonight. Was thinking if she is refusing the bottle maybe I can try that. Even if she just has a play with it might help witht he teething.

Also laybyed a high chair from kmart for her. I got the infa brand (I think its called). $99 down from $179 so a good bargain.

Last night by about 12:30 we were all in the same bed last night. Lucky we have a king size as there was DP, me, bubs and the dogs! All happy families!

Hope you are all well. Will be back later tonight or tomorrow for personals

A friend said she got it from a parenting book. I will go find her post in the other forum and paste it in here. hang on.....

To get back on track with your day time sleeps, keep bubs up for exactly 3 hours and 45 minutes after they wake in the morning before putting them down for their day sleep. E.g. if they get up at 7am, ffeed at 7 then eed them at 10am and put them down to sleep in their cot at 10.45am. Dont let them sleep before then otherwise it will just be a nap.

So that is what my forum friend said, so I gave it a try this morning, and she really did sleep much better.

Nai - Glad she was better this arvo.

Ali - we often all end up in bed together in the mornings (minus the dog though) It is squashy enough with me, E, J and DH!!!

I know - I said the same thing, and was very sceptical. she said just try it once and see. It should only take the once for her to get used to sleeping longer. I actually found it really easy to keep her up. She played with J, I carried her around for a little, and she had a nice morning. THen she was so happy for the rest of the day.

Meg- thats great it works, too bad I can't keep Em up that long she cracks it big time if she is tired. So dummy free working well? I just find it trickier being out getting her to sleep, need to rock the pram a little, also her being unwell can make it hard at times but otherwise once she is asleep she stays asleep alot better.

Ali- I might've missed somewhere is Ash refusing a bottle? Or you getting prepared for when you need to return to work? 2 days is enough, thats what I did after Ashleigh and will again end of Jan, it is hard at first, I cried first day I went back but the extra money coming back in makes a good incentive! Ashleigh refused a bottle and it stressed me, I remember I kept trying every so often and eventually she took it.

Nai- She making up for the bad night! Yeah I'll grumble bout tattslotto too, forgot to get my powerball ticket for tonight.

Kaz- I'm still yet to get Emily into the cot, or even set it up for that matter! She still next to me, makes it so easy but I'm gonna move her soon(ish), once he gets used to his cot he may start sleeping really well and not needing dummy so much.

Det- get early night tonight please! I love school holidays, means I get an extra pair of hands to help around here! Boof is doing so well with food, we're gonna start Emily end month prolly, hope she is better than what Ash was.

Bought my vapouriser today and have it on so hope its doing something good for Emily, its a pretty quiet one too.
Met a friend at McDonalds which worked well, the kids played out on the playground and we could relax and have coffee or whatever.
Emily has really bright red cheeks sometimes in the day too and I wonder if teething, they're so bright, drool and she gnaws on my shoulder.

I don't watch it religiously, usually watch a daytime episode when its on, you know foxtel always replay everything! Df has taken over tv flicking between the cricket and fox sports.
