Hi mels & natari, hope you and all the bubs are going guns.
My little one came 1st Feb but it's taken a while to get my head around much other than learning to be a mum and recovering from a caesar. I'm still mostly homebound and busting to take out our girl in her new pram..heheh
Getting into the swing of living in the moment these days and cherishing (and mourning the passing of) each little stage.
    Look forward to chatting...
    Go Aquarian babes!

Nearly forgot to say "Congratulations!" mums

    Hi ..

    Congratulations mums and bubs!!

My little girl was born on the 12th of February. She was fashionably late but was so worth the wait. So far things are going well, shes on breast and bottle to accommodate her demanding appetite!! I think my milk has come down more over night so I can start cutting back on the formula.

Look forward to chatting with you all.

    Goodmorning,

CONGRATULATIONS MUMMIES!!!!! And WELCOME to all the beautiful lil CHERUBS!!

My gorgeous lil man arrived 10th of Feb. Had a ceaser so im still recovering 10 days later.

So far my lil man is a fabulous sleeper.. its all he's doing! We did have a small worry a few days ago.. when I noticed that during his sleep he stop breathing for about 4 seconds, then returns to breathing normally. Thankfully we had an GP appointment and he reassured us that its all normal in newborns. PHEW
We also got the Free Whooping cough vaccine that they are promoting atm. OUCH.

    Enjoy your weekend.

    Hi,

Thought it about time I come and introduce us to those who don't know us yet.

My name is Bec and my second son Joshua Francis was born 3 February- at 4.28pm. Born at 38weeks 2days (was induced at my OB's recommendation due to my high blood pressure and protein in my urine-plus his brother came at 37weeks 1day and Josh was already measuring a good size). He was 3.28kg, 50cm long, 34cm head. Birth was good, was almost the same as his brothers- Cameron Anthony who was born 29th May 2008- same hospital, same midwife, same room, even almost same times of when i felt pains and the pushing part (except this time the pushing part was alot quicker).

We are breastfeeding, and I'm finding it so much easier this time. I remember being in tears with pain and frustration at this stage when i did it with Cam. And even though Cam was a rather good baby too, so far Josh is making this really easy- it sure makes a difference knowing what i'm doing i suppose- i'm much more relaxed.

So I look forward to getting to know you and your bubs and will still have heaps of questions even though i have only just done most of it 20months ago- but i'm so forgetful it'll help having you guys.

    Bye for now,

    Hi All,

How's everyone and there baby's doing? It's been rather quiet in here so I hope they are behaving for their Mummy's.

Josh is doing well. We had our check up with the health clinic last Thursday. He had put on 455gms in 8 days, so he then weighed 4.05kg. Length now 53cm (3cm longer then birth) and 35cm head circumference (was 34cm at birth). So the weight and height has moved Josh from the 25 percentile to the 50 (head still the 25). So since he did so well with weight I think I'll now do fortnightly weigh-ins (its just to challenging on a Wednesday with a toddler and dreadful to find a park (its right next to a Centrelink office).

Sleeping is our main challenge. For a couple of nights there he just wouldn't go back to sleep without a fight at the 1-2am feeding. Last night was a little better, but it wasn't as 'easy' as it was a week ago when he'd go straigt down. Oh well- we manage. Thankfully Cam (my 21month old) has a good 2 to 3 hourly sleep in the day so we can all have a lay down- which helps.

Hey I'm interested to know what everyone's day time routine is. I know times change cause of feeding, but do you do a feed, play, sleep routine? Where does baby sleep? I haven't got anything going yet. Finding hard with a toddler, but would like to get some sort of order happening soon. Will let ya know when I do.

Well better go- kids to feed. Hope your all well.

Bec when lauren wont go back to sleep over night i found it was lack of lactation and gave her small top up formula and she would go to sleep straight away, i have since started fenugreek to increase my milk now no night feed goes longer then about 50 minutes!!

Thanks TTC, though I don't think its a supply problem here, as I'm at my fullest in the night time, to the point that Josh usually on takes one side, I offer the other but he quite often refuses. I was thinking it might be he needs a little more wake time during the day- which is what we did the last 2 days...will see what happens, as it was a little easier last night- still a challenge, but alot quicker then the other nights.

bec - we were set a routine from the special care nursery with Hamish. he feeds every four hours at 10, 2, and 6 am and pm. feeds 15mins on each breast, then a top up of breastmilk and formula (50mls), then i express. he sleeps in between each feed. the last couple of nights he has been awake for a couple of hours after his 6pm feed so we put him in his swing which he loves.
