I started L on breakfasts about 10 days ago and have just started giving her a bit of dinner too, she loves it, and has been sleeping sooooo much better too.

    Hope you're all well xo

HI Ladies! I've been MIA for quite awhile. Life's been so busy with two kids I have not had any time for BB (all my internet time goes to FB). I wanted to come by though and see how everyone is doing.

Were doing well. Paige is an absolute joy. She's so smiley and giggly and it makes us so happy. She got weighed and measured the other day and we were told she was in the 90th percentile for height, weight, and head, but I find that hard to believe as she is the smallest of her peers. She's very long and lean (taking after daddy thankfully). I think she was 26inches and 16.5lbs?

We are still exclusively breastfeeding. She seemed eager to eat what we are so we tried a few spoonfuls of a few things this past week but she just gagged and spit it all out again so it seems she's not quite ready yet. She got her first two teeth this week-end too which meant some pretty fussy nights, but she's now back to a happy contented little girl.

She was sleeping really well (12 hours without waking) but we're waking up every 1-2 hours right now and I'm feeling very sleep deprived. She's lucky she's so cute, I can forgive her for anything.

Her brother adores her and is a huge help, we're feeling really blessed.

I'm going to try to pop by more often as I would love to read how everyone is getting on (I'll have to find the last thread to catch up a bit). Hope everone is doing well!

I started lexie on solids on Saturday morning, so far she seems to enjoy it.

I've been watching the news on the floods all morning, very, very sad.

Twin I missed your post. Good to hear from you. Sounds like Paige is doing well. Lexie still doesn't have any teeth but she is dribbling sooo much & chewing on absolutely everything.

    It's quiet in here

Cupcake - we did swimming lessons with DS at 6 months but are going to wait until DD is older as we found lessons were a waste of money at such a young age. We just go to the pool on our own to play.

Jlk - I'm the same. This is def my last baby and it seems to be going by too fast. Paige is sitting, and has teeth, and rolls across the living room. Slow down alreaady! She's not interested in solids yet though.

leigh - won't be long before those teeth come through. I kind of wish Paige's hadn't, I miss the toothlees grin (though the 2 teethed one is super cute too) and it hurts a lot more now when she bites while nursing.

Hi, I am new to this thread. Just thought I'd stop in and say hi. My DD, Amelia, was born 26th July 2010. Thought it might be nice to chat to other mums who have bubs the same age, maybe make some new friends? =)

First thing I would like to say is... where's the 'pause' button? She's growing up so fast! My little baby isn't so little anymore. She's becoming miss independent already at only 6 1/2mths - wanting to feed herself (sometimes), holding her bottle (for Daddy only, not for mum!), saying 'Dad dad', sitting up by herself, reaching for things and even screaming when she doesn't get what she wants (huh oh).

Hi Nel, a big welcome to you & Amelia to our group. I'm looking forward to getting to know you both. I know what you mean about wanting a pause button. My bubba Lexie was actually born in June but was due on the 22nd of July that's why I've stayed with this thread.

Jlk, how's tehya liking her own room? I don't blame you for being over protective. I'm a bit the same myself.

Queg, I stopped breastfeeding just after Xmas so lexie is on formula now. She's on 4 bottles per day. Her feeding routine is a bit like this: wakes up around 7am & has a bottle then when I get home from the school run in the morning she has breakfast, then around 11.30am she has another bottle then her big sleep for the day. Then another bottle around 3.30pm - 4pm, then her dinner at 5.30pm then a bottle before bedtime around 7.20pm. I haven't given her lunch yet as I can't really find anywhere to slot it in but she is quite content on the two meals & 4 bottles per day. It's hard having DD1 at school & being rushed in the morning & not being able to give lexie breakfast until we get home from school.

Amelia was due 22nd July too, but as you can see from my sig, she was 4 days late.

Lexie has her second front bottom tooth. I didn't even realise lol. She's been wearing her teething necklace so I think it has helped. DD2 always wore hers & I reckon it helped heaps.
